I know it is a little early, but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day now, just in case I forget or get busy. I know that my weekend will be busy with my own children, plus my mother and mother-in-law. So here’s to all you awesome mothers out there! Keep up the good work. =)
It is always fun to be able to spend quality time with your family if everyone is always on the go. You can have everyone in the family choose what they would like to eat and then bring it to the barbeque. If you are camping or are renting a cabin in the country, you could even start a bonfire and roast marshmallows with your entire family.
As you can see, these are two of the many ways you can relax with your family while you’re on vacation. You don’t have to bring electronics or work with you when you go on vacation and just spend some quality time with your kids and partner.
I just wanted to send out a Happy Valentines Day to everyone! Today is a great day to spend with your loved ones and let each other know how much you appreciate them. I have already gotten a few little presents for the kids and will make them a special dinner. Hope your day is as great as mine is.
I completely forgot that this was a three day weekend. I started to get the kids up for school this morning, but fortunately I started with my eldest who informed me that it is MLK Jr. day and he has no school. He then told me to go back to bed and rolled over and went back to sleep. I had to chuckle over that. Made my day though, I went back to bed and slept in for another four hours. When the kids woke up, they didn’t even wake me up. My kids made themselves some pop tarts and have been playing games ever since. They are such good kids.
We had a wonderful Christmas with the family. We had a big brunch after the kids opened their gifts. They weren’t very happy about having to wait for the family arrived, but we had already agreed so they only pouted a little bit. I just laughed at them,because as I mentioned before they had agreed. Fortunately the family wasn’t late for a change and the second the last one arrived the kids dug into the presents like starving animals to food. It was hilarious.
The kids were happy though, they got pretty much everything they asked for and then some, so I am content. I wasn’t sure I would be able to pull it off, but I just barely managed to handle everything. I was shopping for that last present on Christmas eve, and wasn’t sure I would find it. I ended up paying more then I anticipated, but it was so worth it. Hope everyone had a great day too.
Four more days and then life can go back to normal for a while. I am looking forward to Christmas day and seeing the family, but I will be glad the craziness of holiday shopping will be over. The malls are packed, as are all of the Walmart and other big store of that nature. People are short of time and patience and it is very telling. I was happy that I only had to pick up a couple of things when I went out today. Even still, the lines were unbelievable. It took me an hour to get in and out of the Walmart and I didn’t even have a cart full of stuff. I think I will have a nice soak tonight.
I only have one thing left to buy for Christmas. I am very thankful for that, because I am tired of having to shop, shop, shop and wrap, wrap, wrap. I know that sounds horrible, but if you had to do as much I have done, you would feel the same way too. Sometimes I can get one of the older kids to help me but it is not always a good idea for them to know what everyone else is getting for Christmas. They have a tendency to blurt stuff out that you don’t want known. It’s a typical kid thing and there is nothing you can do for it, but not allow them to know what you don’t want known. Hehehe.
Well more of the wedding decorations keep coming in through the mail. It seems like every day we have a ton of packages. Plus with the holidays, there are Christmas presents coming in for the kids as well. I have to keep them from opening everything that comes in. Their grandmother has ordered stuff online and just had it shipped to us. I have to wrap it and then put her name on them, so the kids know that she got them something.
Wow, there are a lot of packages under the tree already and so much more to get for various family members. I am already exhausted. I love the holidays, but I also love when they are over.

Works great every time. I already had the the little guy taken care of with all but one thing I picked up today. The older ones are just a little bit more difficult as they transition out of childhood and into young adult or preteen. I think I have this all covered though. Now I just have to wait for my next check and get the last thing for my older son, some stuff for the girl and my man. Then viola’! I will be done. Unfortunately my last check doesn’t come in until Christmas eve. Grrrrr
