Online Music Buying Guides

If I have any options to review a product and/or service, you can bet that I will be utilizing every type(s) that I can get my hands on. It’s a whole new world out there. It’s amazing to think that we managed to live our lives without computers. At some point in the late 80’s we have become more and more reliant on what used to be referred to as the World Wide Web. I mean when is the last time you have even heard the words World Wide Web?

With all that the Internet has to offer almost all of us in the 21st century, it still surprises me that there are still some of our senior citizens who are bucking, kicking and screaming all the way to any computer who just can’t wrap their heads around even some of the most basic functions, even explaining all that they are missing by not using e-mail can’t entice some people to get on board.

My grandmother was a bit slow at getting used to the whole computer concept, but it didn’t take long once she starting realizing how useful it can be. One of the advantage that came into play during the holiday gift buying season. She actually took her time and checked out different acoustic guitars that she found at one of the major music websites that have just about anything that is musically related. It seems that a friend and neighbor told her about Musician’s Friend, which Grandma felt safe enough to go online, find a particular buying guide and actually ordered a wonderful guitar at a great price. Free shipping is always a plus when ordering anything online.

Transmission

Well the transmission went out on the truck. That really stinks. Transmissions cost a lot of money, unless you get one that is used. Of course, if you get one that is used, there is no telling how long it will last. If you know how, you can rebuild yours, but a lot of people don’t have that kind of skill. I have to do a lot of research today and see what I can find for a transmission. I may be able to find a re manufactured one. That is actually my best bet. It will still cost almost a thousand dollars though.

Hosting via the web

Hosting your own website can be a challenge if you have never done it before or have a lack of computer knowledge.  Personally, I am not a computer guru so when I decided to jump into the world of technology I decided I better get some help.

Recently, I have been taking some classes on horticulture and wanted to be able to share this information with others.  I absolutely love gardening and constantly yearn for new knowledge about plants.  One area that fascinates me is new species of plants.  I envy the horticulturists out there that are able to create and breed new plants.  One new species I currently am researching is what the article called bleeding tooth fungus.  The plant is very cool looking.  The plant is pink in color like the gums on a human and drips blood- colored liquid.  I am not sure if this plant is toxic but I imagine it must be.  The more brightly colored plants are the more poisonous they usually are.

My new website will be produced by a web hosting company.  They have been very helpful and have given me the confidence ot continue my goal of spreading horticultural news to the world.

Chill in the air

It is in the mid 30’s this morning. It seems awfully early this year and it has me thinking about snow. We had a mild winter last year after multiple snow storms the year before. It has me wondering what is in store for us this winter. The year before last I purchased an Electric Snow Shovel so I feel a little more confident then if I only had a shovel. I have moved since then and I have a lot farther to drive to get out of my neighborhood. I always worry about not being able to get out to go to work. I hope my new neighborhood has a good snow contract with a dependable company. Oh well, I guess I will see whats to come, no use worrying ahead of time.

Roll On

Every morning as I return home from work I see people in such a rush to get to work or where ever they are going that they will almost run you off the road if you have the audacity to go the speed limit. God forbid you try to save money and drive less than the posted limit like I do some times, I am not a person who is in a hurry most of the time and I am getting very tired of getting the one finger salute as these jerks go by. Makes a girl want to carry a firearm with her sometimes. Good thing I do not own a firearm.

Yesterday, my sister and I were on our way to Wlamart when an 18 wheeler decided that she didn’t like us and tried to run us of the road. I was so upset that my sister called the cops and they said that they couldn’t do anything. Boy was I bent out of shape with that.

Changing Uniform Styles

There are multiple varieties of uniforms in the United States.  One of my favorite types of uniforms are nursing uniforms.  Every time I visit a doctors office or hospital I see the medical staff wearing these and they seem to be quite comfortable in their attire.

The history of medical scrubs and uniforms has changed greatly throughout time.  Forty years ago when my grandmother was a nurse they never would have dreamed of dressing in scrubs.  They wore extremely white uniforms with a cap on their heads.  Today it is an entirely different story.

The part of scrub uniforms that is always the most interesting to look at is the
nursing scrub tops.  There is a large variety of designs to choose from.  From flowers to cartoon characters, almost anything a person is looking for exists in a scrub top pattern. Perhaps the most interesting patterns seen are at pediatrician’s offices.  The pediatric nurses can often be seen wearing children’s designs on there scrub tops.  I think that this is a nice addition to the pediatrician’s office.  These designs can help put the children at ease during their visit.

Laziness

I recently did a favor for some friends. The girls husband was adamant about wanting her to do something specific, but she is so lazy that I ended up having to do it for her and now he is angry with me. I am not doing favors for anyone else anymore. I refuse! This is total stupidity, kind of like shooting the messenger. I am so over it.

My advice to others, think very hard before you help others. It can backfire on you and you will end up feeling used and being angry yourself. Oh well, I am going to get over it and move on, but I doubt I will talk to either one of them for a very long time.

Evil black insects

The other morning I decided to get a jump on my gardening that I has been neglected for the last couple of weeks.  The one thing I didn’t expect to have meeting me outside was a little black insect; hundreds to be exact.  There are multiple measures next time that I know I need to have in place.

The season is young and I didn’t expect to have such an encounter.  I was only outside for two hours and I was completely bitten from head to toe.  I was miserable afterwards.  In fact, I still am itching.  The next time I decide to do dome landscaping I will have to be sure to not wash my hair first, wear a hat, put on some bug spray and equip myself with knee pads!  Maybe this is the magical combination to reduce being attacked by black flies!

At any rate these bugs are evil and I wish I could garden in a bubble.  Unfortunately that will never happen so I must arm myself the next time I decide to go outside in order to fight their army.

Looking Chic On My Bicycle

One of the best parts about riding my bicycle around town is that I’m able to wear a lot of my cute clothes and not worry about messing them up. It’s not like  I ride that far to work or anything because most of the places are nearby my  home. I’m really into fashion and love the opportunity I have to show off my personal style when I ride my bike.

I almost feel sorry for people who ride motorcycles and have to wear special gear on them just for safety purposes. Well, I don’t really worry about that. I do have a helmet, but it looks pretty cute and matches my bike so it looks good, not dorky. I found it online a few weeks ago at a really good price, actually. While I was online looking for helmets, I came across the website for Wild Blue Deals  I looked through it a little bit and after that I decided to sign up for an internet package that I found on that website.

I’m excited about this weather because I’ll be able to ride my back a little bit more. I hate it when it’s too darned cold for me to ride. I’m just sad I live in an area where I can’t ride my bicycle comfortably all the time.
