The plan

My best friend Beth has decided to have the Breast Augmentation surgery and I support her decision 100%. She did a lot of soul searching and got a lot of input from me, I do not know if that was much help or not. One web site that she has used to help herself with this important decision was the web site Looking Your Best. They have a great web site with so much useful information.

After a lot of talking and checking information Beth has decided to go forward and I think she made her decision from the web site at Looking Your Best and I know she will be alright from what I have learned from their very helpful web site too. I will be thinking about this life changing procedure myself and when I start to make that decision I too will be checking out the web site at Looking Your Best.

Health

With my annual check up due this week I will find out if I have done my part to reduce cholesterol, this has been my goal for over a year now to get my cholesterol back into the right range. I have been working at it, watching what I eat and having a bowl of oatmeal every morning to help in my quest. I have been checking out the web site for Reduce Bad Cholesterol, it has a lot of very useful information on it and I love the articles they have on this very nice medical web site.

Reduce Bad Cholesterol has so much information that I had to read all the information a second time to make sure I got it all. I do not consider myself to be a medical professional but I know a lot from many trips to the doctor over the years and I worked as an EMT many years ago, and what I learned in the field and in the Emergency Room have given me a leg up on bad cholesterol and I plan to make sure that I beat this killer before it gets its hooks into my heart. Eating right and going to the doctor when I am supposed to are the ammunition I am using against bad cholesterol, I hope this is enough in this important battle, because my life is on the line.

Busy day

In the morning the streets of Nashville will be filled with runners in the Country Music Marathon. I am not enough of an athlete to try and run a marathon, I do try to run in some of the 5K runs they have here, a lot of them are for a great cause. I ran in the Womens Heath run here last year and had a great time. The Nashville Predators had a great 5K this year and I plan to run in that one again next year. Tomorrow I just plan to stay out of downtown and out of the way of the 35,000 runners in the marathon.

Diet

When I went to the doctor last week I found out that I had lost 20 pounds and all I have changed in my diet is the fact that I try and eat a bowl of oatmeal every morning. I do this to aid my digestion and to help keep my cholesterol down at a manageable level. It is working to keep my weight down too an added plus to my morning ritual. I still crave a huge breakfast but my bowl of oatmeal holds me until lunch time and that has made losing weight very easy to me.
