Girls like sports too

It is true that girls can like sports too and I am a true sports fan, I played many sports as a young girl and I do enjoy watching most of the sports that all of the men like. Football is my favorite and baseball is not far behind. I have learned to love hockey since I moved here to Nashville, I have attended many of the Predators games and I love my hockey seats, we are right on the glass and you can hear the boys sweating.

Now that football is over and hockey is on break all I can hope for is spring training to get started so I can have some baseball to watch. One of the few sports that I do not follow at all is basketball, we went to one live pro game a few years ago and I tried to watch it but just could not make myself, so hurry up baseball season.

March Madness

It is time for the month of craziness to begin, March Madness is the time of year that I truly love. College basketball is a passion to me and many others as well. I love the brackets that we fill out every year, and this year we have added a new game to our yearly brackets.

A free bingo card is something that we have been talking about for a long time now. Take a look at our bingo card and I think that you can see how it works, I can not wait for the March Madness basketball tournament to get here for our fun to begin.

I think we will have a lot of fun with this new way to play at our March Madness party. I know that girls do not know as much as they guys, but I have won the bracket for the last three years and I plan on winning the bingo game this year as well. Come on guys ante up and lets get the game under way.

Of course I know more because I had three older brothers who taught me the best way to win at everything I do. I want to thank my brothers for teaching me to play to win.

Foreign Cars

SAAB is one of the best foreign cars ever made. Comparable with Volkswagen on safety, they are the Cadillac of Europe. Affordable, luxurious and great on gas mileage, the SAAB is an amazing family vehicle as well.

All vehicles, no matter what make or model, require some type of regular maintenance or repair from time to time. For your OEM Saab Parts, you will want to use a reputable dealer like eEuroparts. They have everything that you will possible need to do maintenance on your Saab. Most maintenance in relatively easy to do, as well as minor repair. A simple tool kit and a little time is all you need to do it.

Here are a few tips for tuning up your Saab. First, you will need buy, spark plugs, wires, oil, oil filter, drain pan, air filter, and a fuel filter. This is just for a basic tune up without all the fuss or extra equipment. A deep socket is needed to pull the spark plugs, so you might want to pick one up. It is always best to do your tune up in the morning before you have driven it anywhere. You don’t want to do a tune up on a hot motor.

If you plug wires are fine and don’t need replacing, make sure to grasp the end of the wire as close down around the plug as possible, so you do not damage the wire. Replace each plug individually and replace the wire or put it back on so that you do not mix up the wires. Once this is done you can jack your car up and loosen the plug bolt on the bottom of the oil pan and allow it to drain out into a plastic oil drain pan. While this drains, remove the oil filter. Most of them will come off with a good twist, but occasionally you might need and oil filter wrench. Replace the old oil filter with the new one and you are good to go. Tighten up the plug bolt on the oil pan, before you put the new oil into the motor.

There are clips on the side of the air filter box that are relatively easy to remove. If they are stubborn, a flat head screw driver can help. Replace your air filter and then find and replace your fuel filter. Again this can be done with a simple screw driver. Check the fluid level in your radiator and make sure you aren’t in need of more antifreeze. If you have no leaks, you shouldn’t need any.

You can change the distributor cap and rotor as well if you choose, but they do not need regular replacement like plugs and oil. If you do decide to, make sure that you take the wires off of the old one and put them on the new one one at a time, so you have them in the right placement. The same with the rotor, but it only goes on one way so it shouldn’t be a problem. You have just done your first tuneup on your Saab and can now be proud of your accomplishment.

Bring Me an Eggroll

I’m the first to admit that I’m not a big fan of Asian food. I think part of it may be that where I grew up there was no Asian food. I never had anything remotely Asian until I got into college, and that was the cheap take out food that you eat by ordering combination #1 or combo #2. The only food I was willing to try was sweet and sour pork. That was OK, but the best part of the meal was the eggroll. Don’t ask me why, but I like eggrolls.

So tonight we went to an upscale Asian restaurant and I didn’t know what anything on the menu would taste like. They did not have a sweet and sour pork, but they did have eggrolls. So I ordered a chicken dish with a funny name and the eggrolls – the eggrolls were awesome. The best I’ve ever had!

Travel to the UK

I hope someday to travel. I know that part of me is Scottish, I hope to unlock the whole puzzle of my ancestry before I die. I would love to visit the UK so I’ve been doing a little internet searching. Seems a lot of people live in apartments and they call them Flats there. That’s cute, almost as cute as their accents. I guess they would think I am the one with an accent. Anyway, my searches have lead me to Flats to rent in Glasgow, , Flats to rent in Edinburgh and Flats to rent in Aberdeen.

Although it’s been great fun looking at the photos of the homes, I have a lot more research to do as far as where I’d like to stay, whats nearby, etc. Also I am hoping more genealogy research will give me a better idea of where I’d like to travel and stay.

My particular genealogy is a bit of a huge puzzle as I hardly knew my father and know nothing about his family. Not for lack of trying on my part. I’ve actually connected recently with his youngest sister on facebook and hope (pray) she will unlock some family secrets.

Trade Show Displays

I recently posted about purchasing promotional products to give away at tradeshows, conferences, and other tabling opportunities. My local Chamber of Commerce has a monthly luncheon where I often have a display.

In addition to promotional products, I have recently been shopping for a tradeshow display. I am thinking of getting something blank that I can switch the signage on, corresponding to the seasons and different offers we have. I could just attach the signs with velcro and keep the signs from year to year. This helps save money as they would be generic and reusable.

There are so many types of displays. I am having trouble making up my mind! There are pop up displays and table top pop ups. I guess it can actually be as simple or as complex as you would like. Some can be carried and installed by one person. Others require a whole team of people to put them together.

The pop up trade show displays are the most dramatic and really give you the opportunity to professionally display your item.

I usually travel solo when going out to tradeshows and other events, so what I get must be small and manageable. I carry so many flyers, and promotional items, it can really be a lot to tote!

Travel

Someday, I hope to have the time and money to travel. In my life, I’ve been up and down the East Coast, to Toronto, Canada and south to Florida. I’ve been as far west as Indianapolis. Anyone interested in moving way north should check out Calgary apartments for rent.

I visited Toronto for business but while there I was able to go to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. It was so beautiful, I hope to get back someday for a more leisurely visit. I am not sure I’d like to relocate North, I don’t appreciate the cold much. I love Florida for the sun and beaches, but again I don’t think I’d like to live there year round. It gets too hot and humid and that makes it difficult to go outdoors.

I’ve loved driving in the West Virginia mountains. That is truly “God’s country”. but again the winters are fierce with a lot of snow and I do not think i’d like that either.

The Carolina’s are beautiful, especially their beaches.

Someday I’d like to see Montana and Wyoming, “Big Sky Country”. I really have no desire to visit California or Nevada. I really don’t care to visit Las Vegas. It seems too commercial to me.

I guess other than occasional vacations, I will remain a Virginia girl where we enjoy all four seasons.
