Neighbors mailbox

Well some kids messed up my neighbors mailbox two days ago and they came to me to find out where I got my mailbox and posts. I had to replace mine twice because of kids until I had custom mailboxes made for my house. Now they don’t mess with it anymore. I was very happy to help my neighbor as we are a close knit community here. I was even able to help them find out who did it since I have a security system that has video as well.

I know that they will be happy with the custom whitehall mailboxes they ordered today. I hope the police catch the kids destroying the mailboxes, but I doubt they will. They don’t seem to care about mailboxes very much when they have so many other things to worry about. Not that I blame them, they are very busy protecting the community.

What a storm

Wow, last nights storm as raging. It knocked over trees all over the neighborhood. We are really lucky one didn’t fall on our house. Our mailbox got crushed though. I guess I will have to order a new one. The kids were a little frightened last night, but the storm passed by quickly and they were able to fall asleep fast. What kind of mailbox should I get this time? Residential mailboxes can actually be fun if you like to shop.

I haven’t decided whether I should get designer mailboxes or one of the victorian mailboxes. I am thinking about ordering two of them, just in case. We get some really bad storms during the springtime that consist of high level straight line winds and tornadoes. I usually have to replace the mailbox once a year because of them. It might be prudent to just order an extra one, so I don’t have to worry about it later. This storm season started very early and is going to be a long one I think.

New Mailboxes

So I live in a rural area. We don’t have house to house mail delivery, we have cluster mailboxes. Ours were destroyed by the last storm that passed though the other day. I don’t know if a tornado got them or what it was. Perhaps flying debris or just straight line winds did it, but we have to replace them now with a new clustered mailbox.

We are looking at approved cluster mailboxes the association picked out for us to decide on. In the long run it doesn’t matter which ones they pick as long as they work. I hope they are replaced by the end of next week, because I am having to run to the post office to get my mail until then, and that is a bit of a drive. It is worth living in the country, so the kids have plenty of room though.
