My boss is going to the middle east on business. I just finished making the reservations for his flight on saudi airlines to Dubai in the United Arab Emerates. This is one of the most amazing cites on this planet. Built on the water with architechtural buildings that will make your jaw hit the floor. I really wish that I could go with him, but alas it will not be possible. He needs me to stay here and keep this place running for him while he is gone. I am apparently the only one who can keep everyone working at normal pace when he is out of town. If he leaves anyone else in charge, nothing gets done.
No matter, he has promised me that if I train up someone who can handle things, then I can go on the next trip. That is of course if this trip goes well for him. If it does, our company will be growing by leaps and bounds and I will be able to hire some really good staff to handle this office.
I do have someone in mind and there is also the possibliliy that someone from Dubai will be coming here to act as a liason in our office. That will help me siginificantly. An outsider in this office will help to whip the current staff into shape, or I will let a few of them go. We are moving into global business and stragglers will be left behind. Anyway, I have much to do to prepare for his trip and have to go. Have a great day!
I have a great recipe that is easy peasy to make. I thought I would share it with you guys.
You will need;
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 1 large bottle of V8
- 5 medium potatoes (peeled and cut into bite size pieces)
- 1 can of green beans
- 1 can of corn
- natures seasoning
- Tony Chechares Creole seasoning
- half an onion (chopped)
Brown the ground beef in a large pot and drain. Add all of the other ingredients (including juice from cans of veggies). Cook on meduim heat for at least an hour, until the potatoes have softened and the stew has thickened up some. It doesn’t get really thick, but it is amazing.
Top with parmesean cheese and serve. Tastes great!
I found some alvarez guitars for sale online for my son. His old one has seen better days and he really needs a new one. He has been playing for a long time and has gotten really good. I am going to continue to encouorage him in his musical career, because as a parent that is my job. More then that though, he actually has a chance of making it in his chosen field.
I think the world has gone a little crazy. I quite watching the news, because there is nothing but bad news on it and I seem to be happier without knowing. The schools want the kids to watch the news as part of their classes, but I would rather them not see all of that. I am going to have to talk to their teachers about it. I really don’t think they will mind finding a different project for my kids, but that remains to be seen. I can only try.
I wish I was sitting by the water somewhere in warm weather with a cocktail in my hand. I think that the endless cold weather and constant problems from the past few months have finally caught up with me. I am ready for summer and BBQ’s and relaxation. *sigh*
Well my cousin is moving away. I am so sad, because we have always been really close and now I will only get to see her once in a while. You can see her new house still on real estate raleigh nc website. It still has the picture although it says sold next to it now. It is a very pretty house and she is so excited about moving there. Add her promotion to that and it is hard not to be excited for her. Well at least now we have a destination for vacation visits. That at least is something to look forward to.
I decided to go over the bills for the month and I am ready to pull my hair out. The cold weather drove my electricity bill up trying to keep the house warm. I have good insulation and everything, but it was really cold out. I don’t like the kids to get sick, so I keep it warm in here. Being stuck in the house apparently made the water bill go up as well as the cable bill. We ordered a lot of movies last month for lack of anything else to do. I usually keep better tabs on the movie rentals, as they are expensive at five dollars a pop. I write it all down, but then again I really didn’t care at the time. I needed something to occupy the kids and that was that. Oh well, it will all get paid, but there will be less movies rented in the future. I am glad the weather is better, so they can spend more time out side.
My daughter wants me to shop yamaha mm6 for her birthday. I just got done looking around online and OMG they are expensive. She has been taking piano lessons from my mom since she was just a little thing, and now wants a synthesizer instead of the old piano we have in the living room. I suppose I could sell the piano to help pay for it, but we have had it so long, it’s almost like a member of the family. I know that sounds weird, but it is true.
Well today is going to be a lazy Sunday. I woke up with a head ache and just feel blah. I am going to take it easy and relax today. I am glad that the weather is good though, so the kids can get outside an play for a while. All the nasty weather has kept us all indoors and we have been getting a little claustrophobic from being forced to stay indoors. I wish I was feeling a little better, then I could take the kids to the park or something. Who knows, maybe I will feel a little better later and we can go do something, but I doubt it. Sigh…
My outdoor patio heaters just quit working. I think it is totally fried. That doesn’t surprise me though, because I use it constantly during the winter and I have had it for a few years now. I bought it for a winter birthday party and when I found out how well it worked, I started using it a lot. I like to sit on the patio and drink my coffee in the morning and heater keeps it nice and warm so that I can enjoy a little bit of outdoors at the same time.
The kids really like it a lot as well. Sometimes, they like to come out here and color or read. During the winter it is usually too cold with out the heater to warm the patio up. Fortunately, my patio can be screened in or enclosed. I have removable windows and panels that make a big difference during inclement weather. It is one of the best investments I have ever made in my home remodeling adventures. I wasn’t really sure at first that it would be worth it, but right after I did it, I bought the first heater and was amazed at how well it works.
The patio is the best place for messy projects. I can take up the rugs that cover the floor, in case the kids spill and if necessary, just hose it off. Those volcano’s they love to do for science projects and the like are always delegated to the back porch. There is only one project substance that is never allowed in my house, even on the patio. That substance is floam. That is the worst stuff ever created for kids to play with. I swear to you that it multiplies all on it’s own, and heaven forbid it gets into any kind of carpeting. You will never get it out. My kids agreed after our one episode with it, that it shouldn’t be allowed back in the house.
Well, I have a lot to do today and I am not getting much of it done sitting in front of the computer. I will talk to everyone later on after I have finished.
