I love sterling silver jewelry. It last longer than gold and doesn’t cost nearly as much for quality pieces. I started wearing silver as a kid and just never lost my love for it. It is what I buy for my family and friends as gifts as well. I have found so many online stores to purchase from, that I have a long list saved up. I use that list frequently.
Bicycle riding today
Later on this afternoon we are going to go bicycle riding down the nature trail. It is about 3 miles long with a lot to see and plenty of learning stuff for kids. They have little plaques set up all over the place so that you can learn about the flora, fauna and rock structures along the trail. The kids love it when we do this and to be quite honest, we should do it more often.
I will endeavor to make that happen, but sometimes life gets in the way. Time seems to get away from you and things you want to do get put off to the side until later.
This is neat
As you all know, I am always working on my house. I want it to look good and since I bought a fixer upper, it is necessary. I like to do the work myself as well. I get a better feel of accomplishment out of it. I am currently looking at kitchen cabinets and found a diy cabinet store online. Bonus! They come ready to assemble with complete instructions and they are beautiful. I am seriously considering this method. Wish me luck!

It is a nasty day outside, with lots of rain. We have so many errands to run and so little time to do it all. I think it is time to start the morning off with a little music. Lets see if I can get my music to post on here, so you can listen in with me as well.
New patio
I just love the new patio I had put in. It is just beautiful. The paving stone path that goes around to the back patio completely matches every part and was so easy to do. I was amazed at how different things look afterwards. Some seemingly simple stuff can make a world of difference in making a home look nice. The patio pavers have a really neat and clean look to them. It makes for a really nice place to sit and enjoy either good company or even a meal. I will have to get some new patio furniture as well now too.
The landscape lighting installation took a little longer than I wanted it too, but in the end it looks amazing. I sat outside last night for a long while just looking at it. I am so proud of my house. I have done so much work to it to make it nice and I wont stop until every little thing is fixed and perfect. I bought this house as a fixer upper and it has really paid off, because everything is how I want it rather than the way someone else wanted things. I love to show it off as well, which means that I will be having a BBQ soon to show this new addition off.
Spider crab
The kids were watching cartoons and saw a spider crab on the show. Of course whenever they see something new, they want me to look it up online. As it turns out, it is called a Japanese Spider Crab and is only found in the waters of Japan. They can grow to have a leg span of over twelve feet and weight over forty pounds. Wow! That is one big crab. I don’t think it will fit in any of my pots and pans.
Looking for a new house.
My best friend Jen is looking for new houses for rent in fayetteville nc. The neighborhood she has been living in for the last nine years has really gone down hill and she wants to get her son in a better neighborhood. Sometimes you have to do what is best for your child, even if it is hard. This is probably not the hardest thing she will do, but she is a single mother, so it isn’t easy either. I hope she finds what she is looking for soon.
This looks neat
I think this picture is really pretty, but very dark. By dark I mean in it is very Gothic in nature. I like all kinds of art, even the dark stuff. I found this to be a little intimidating though. A beautiful woman with a large knife is definitely a bit scary.
Band
My brother in law has a band. This past week he had to invest in some new equipment. He bought something called a Presonus, that he needed for their gigs. It’s something to do with the sound equipment, but I am unfamiliar with it myself. I am just about tone def. I wish I could play and instrument, but I cannot unfortunately. I really love music and I love to go watch his band play. I think I will go see them this weekend.
Work work work
Finally work is picking up. I am so happy about that. This summer has been so slow for work that I have been pinching pennies because of it. I was hoping that work would pick up as school started and I was right. School is just about to start and all of a sudden work has begun to flow better. Just in time too, because I have school supplies to buy for the kids.
