Dad’s toy

My father has gotten too old to ride four wheeler’s anymore, so he bought himself something that he can still play in. He bought a Yamaha Rhino for him an mom. Now he is looking for yamaha rhino accessories to customize his new toy. The weather is supposed to clear up and warm up as well. As soon as it does, we will take out the four wheeler’s and his Rhino to go riding through the preserve. It is part of a state park that allows you to ride on trails that are specifically made for them. We have gone there many times before.

Occasionally we like to camp there too, but it really is not that far from the house. I think we are going to plan a trip as soon as spring hits, to the Smokey Mountains. That way we can camp out in the mountains and ride all over them. There are a great many places to ride. Including the Shenandoah trail. Dad wants to go right away and just rent a cabin. He says we can ride all day, then relax in front of a fire. I am not too sure about that, but I will think about it. If we do, I think I might wait until it snows. That would be really fun.

Wedding favor boxes

Wedding favor boxes versus bags. That is the question right now. We have been unable to decide on what ones she wants. We have looked and looked, but unfortunately nothing has really popped out at us saying “this is it!”. So we keep looking and hopefully we will find something she likes soon.

In the mean time, we have picked out a lot of the other stuff. We just cannot order some of it until the boxes versus bags is solved. We have to make sure that everything will fit first. It’s not like it is much really, but we have to be sure.

Wedding guest book

The wedding guest book has arrived. I have put aside certain containers for storage of all the wedding stuff as it comes in and is assembled. The containers all have lids to keep it safe from kids and pets as well. I always keep containers for camping or boating. They always come in handy for other things as well. This time for a wedding.

I have a few things to go over tonight on my lists. I have a ton of lists for so many different things, that I had to start a binder for it all. It has helped immensely to organize it in this manner. Each section is dedicated to what is needed, how many has been ordered and how many come in, etc… Planning is what I do best!

Deal dash

I found an article on DealDash that tells you just what it is like to shop on their site. They give an amazing over view of the company and how it is almost like a game to be played. The DealDash Review also tells you what to do, to be successful on the site.

I think Deal Dash makes shopping online a lot more fun and bidding is easy. I have a few things that I am keeping an eye on right now. I am hoping that I win the auction for my bids. Check it out and see if you like it, because it never hurts to give it a try.

So making this

From Food network
Eggplant Ricotta Bites

I found this on the Food Network recipes and I am making it tonight. I though I would share it with you guys so you could give it a try too. Now I have to go shopping.

Ingredients
1 medium eggplant
Kosher salt
All-purpose flour, for dredging
2 large eggs
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons extra- virgin olive oil, plus more as needed
2 large plum tomatoes, diced
2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
1 cup ricotta cheese
Shredded fresh basil, for topping
Directions
Thinly slice the eggplant into rounds and season with salt. Pour some flour into a shallow dish. Beat the eggs in another dish. In a third dish, mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan. Dredge the eggplant in the flour, then dip in the eggs and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, cook the eggplant until golden, about 2 minutes per side, adding more oil between batches, if necessary. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

Toss the tomatoes with the remaining 2 teaspoons olive oil and the vinegar in a bowl. Spoon some ricotta onto each eggplant slice. Top with the tomato mixture and basil.

Wedding favor bags

I like the idea of Wedding favor bags. You can fill them up with whatever you want. You can get them personalized, or pick ones with catchy sayings on them. They come in so many shapes and sizes that it can be hard to choose. The linen drawstring bags are one of my favorites. They give a pioneer flair to a table that I really think is cute.

I will show those to my girl and see what she thinks of them. If she does not like them, well there are plenty of others to choose from. We have plenty of time for her to make up her mind about them.

Beach wedding favors

The Beach wedding favors I have seen can make for several different themes. A regular beach theme is can be used, or a Hawaiian theme, or a Pirate theme. Although I haven’t seen anyone with a pirate wedding lately, but it is not out of the realm of possibilities. I know there are plenty of guys who would love that kind of fun theme for a wedding. It is after all very masculine. Right up their ally, so to speak. I probably would’t go that direction myself, but for a woman with a good sense of humor and lots of love for her man, it would be perfect.

Wedding cake toppers

These wedding cake toppers are beautiful! I just love weddings. They are so pretty and so much fun. They are also so romantic and make us women get all emotional. Picking out the topper for your wedding cake can be a lot of fun. There are so many different kinds to choose from. There are the traditional toppers and then there are funny ones, or ones that symbolize whatever your life style may be.

I saw some that had dogs and cats on them with hilarious phrases and there was even some that were for hunters or people who like four wheeler’s. I really liked one that had a pregnant bride with a shot gun. I guess there is something for just about everyone.

Unity ceremony

This Unity ceremony is going to be so beautiful. I really cannot wait to see the wedding. Helping plan this wedding is so much fun. We will go look for the brides maids dresses and the wedding gown this week. If she gets off of work early today, we might even go today. I think that is one of the most fun parts of a wedding.

All women love to shop and trying on dresses is one of our favorite past times. Window shopping is another of our favorites as well. I hope she picks out dresses that can be worn again. I really don’t want to have a dress hanging in my closet that I can never use again. That is absolutely now fun at all.

wedding cake toppers

I love picking out and shopping for wedding cake toppers. There are so many cute toppers for the cakes it is unreal. You can get traditional ones with the standard bride and groom or hand crafted ones to suite the originality of your lifestyle. There are ones with animals as well as edible ones too. The edible ones are made out of candy clay. but I am not sure so many brides would like that. Most of us women want something that we can keep as a lasting memory.

I found a couple of them that were animals or humorous in content or both. Now that is what I call original. Why do what everyone else does? Be yourself and make sure that your topper says everything about you as a couple and your lifestyle to boot.
