I so cannot wait for summer to get here so we can go swimming. We absolutely love to swim and all we need is a little more warmer weather that lasts for a long enough time to warm the water. We go to the river and swim at our favorite place. It is quiet and fairly secluded, so we can enjoy ourselves without being crowded by other people. That is my favorite part, being able to have family time without being crowded.
Saturday morning toons
Kids and their Saturday morning cartoons are just too funny. They sit there and hoot and holler at them, laughing away. I love the sounds of their laughter and I am guaranteed to hear it first thing Saturday mornings without fail. It makes for a great start to my day when I come out of the bedroom and they are sitting there with smiles on their little faces. Now I have to make some coffee and breakfast. I hope everyone has a great day.
Reading
I love to read. It is something I have passed on to my children as well. They get good grades in school because I made sure they liked to read and encourage them as much as humanly possible. it is definitely paying off for them. I cannot help but to love reading. As a child it took me places and still does that I know I will probably never get to visit. It makes me feel as if I have been there.
This is why
Okay, so I know I told you guys about the cheese cake and people were asking me why I ordered it online. Well if you Order Cheesecake Online there are so many different flavors to choose from. How could you not do it? Seriously, the kids went mad over the one I bought. The squeals of happiness were enough to sell me on it alone. There is nothing better then to hear your kids that happy. If you are a parent, then you know exactly what I mean.
My children’s happiness is the most important thing to me, just as it is to most parents. When you surprise them with something they like the sounds can make your head spin, but will definitely put a smile on your face. Being a parent it definitely the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life, and I am happy that I can give my children something that makes them happy.
Laundry
I got behind on my laundry and now I have the leaning tower of laundry in my laundry room. This is not good. I am going to be days trying to get all of this done. I don’t even know how we ended up with so much. I went in there to get some cleaner for the bathroom and about fell over when I saw it. It is almost like the kids emptied their drawers and closets into this little room and shut the door on it. I am amazed that they had anything to wear to school today.
Kids
The kids are so happy that winter is almost over. The weather this week has been amazing and they have spent a lot of time outdoors. This weekend we are going to go hiking in the state park. We are finally able to get out of the house and are really excited about it. I think we will take the dog as well, because she absolutely loves the state park. We even have favorite trails we like to hike along. One goes along the river and when the water gets warmer, we will hike and then swim and then hike some more. I love spring.
Shootings in Ohio
My heart goes out to the families of the kids in the Ohio School shooting. It is so sad that our children think they have to resort to such drastic measures to get people to stop bullying them. Even sadder that parents refuse to parent their children who are bully’s. I cannot stand that kind of parenting, where they think their kids never do any wrong. Then something like this happens and they act all shocked and shaken that their little angel could have pushed another child to do something so horrible. It’s just so sad.
Warmer
The temperature has gone up for a change and I am very happy about that. Now if it would just stop raining every week so that the ground would dry out, then the kids would be happy. They need to go out and play and run to release some serious energy. We have been stuck in the house so much its pitiful. I can smell spring in the air.
New gates
It is time for new baby gates. The old ones have fallen apart. I use them for pet gates as well as safety gates when there are little ones in the house. I frequently have visitors with small children and like to make sure the house is as baby proof as possible. You never know what they will get into and since my children are all five and up the necessity for the old baby proofing is long gone.
I even have one for the hearth on the fire place. I use this one the most,even with my own kids, especially during the winter when I have a fire going a lot. I love my fireplace and so do my children. We cut wood a lot so we can have a fire going. It helps to save money on heating during the winter months that normally run me over three hundred dollars a month or more. I know that as soon as I don’t need them anymore for my kids and the friends and neighbors, I will have grandchildren to use them for. I guess I will always use the safety gates no matter what.
Better appetite
Well my littlest one finally has his appetite back. After weeks of on again off again sickness, from a stomach bug to a cold and sinus infection the poor little guy just hasn’t felt like eating a lot. I felt so bad for him, but still had to make him eat so he didn’t lose weight. I am so happy that he is finally back to normal. I hate winter sickness. This time of year it is always the same thing. Sick sick sick….grrr
