Sink

Well the sink in the boys bathroom broke. Don’t ask me how that could possibly have happened. I have to order a new one now and plan on buying it from VesselSinks.com. I think they were horsing around when it broke, but of course no one will dare tell me exactly what happened. I wont bother telling them that I had planned on replacing that one anyway, until they fess up. I am not angry or anything, but they do need to calm down a bit. Especially if I am going to fix up their bathroom for them and make it nice.

I know that eventually they will fess up and tell me. They will just wait until they think I have calmed down. I have to laugh at that, since we know I am not really upset. I think perhaps I will ask them if they would like to pick out the stuff for their bathroom. I will let them design it. That will make them extremely happy.

The school

I went and re checked the enclosed bulletin board at the school to double check the supply lists. My nine year old is going into middle school and they have outdoor enclosed bulletin boards at the school for the parents to check for announcements. I can always count on being able to get the necessary information from them no matter if the school is open or not. I wasn’t the only one there either. There were a lot of mothers checking for their kids as well.

My youngest son starts kindergarten this year and is going to need a lot of stuff as well. The glass bulletin board at his school was just being updated as I arrived. Thankfully I got their late or I wouldn’t have had the information that I needed. As it is, this lot will cost a pretty penny this year. They want kinder mats for the kids to take naps on. I sincerely doubt they will get my little guy to take a nap. He doesn’t really take them anymore.

School supplies

I just got the new school supply lists for my kids and I cannot believe all of the stuff they are asking for this year. Add to that the fact that they also need new school clothes and shoes as well. I foresee a lot of money I don’t really have going out over the next few weeks. Hopefully I can get a lot of it on tax free week, but I doubt it. My money never comes in until afterwards. It really kind of stinks that it always works out like that. Oh well, I will persevere as always and get everything done in time. There is not really much choice in the matter.

Neighbor

One of my neighbors from around the corner stopped by. She wanted to compliment me on the changes to the house and ask where I bought the personalized address plaques I have on the front of the house and in the yard. Everyone really loves them and raves about how nice they look and how good they make the house and yard look as well. Custom address plaques are not hard to get. I found them by simply looking them up online. I don’t mind giving them the web address though. It makes me feel really good about my house when people stop by and admire it.

The bronze address plaques I put up were easy to install and didn’t take very long to arrive. I had them within a week of ordering them. Well it is time to get moving. I have to start dinner soon as the kids will be home from day camp in just a little while. They are always starving when they get home.

Walmart

Went to Walmart and wanted to get the school lists so I know that the kids are going to need. They were already out of all of them. I cannot believe that. Now I am going to have to go to the schools and pick them up. That is really irritating. Oh well there is nothing for it but to go. I guess I will do that next time I go to do shopping. I will check online and see if they have them posted as well. I might be able to print them out. We shall see.

School

Well it is time to think about school already. I have a lot to do over the next month before school starts and I have to get things in order. I have one who is going into middle school and I need to enroll him and I have one who is going into kindergarten. He also needs to be enrolled. I could have done it at the end of the school year, but I was so busy at the time that it just got put off. No matter, there is time to get it and the school shopping done.

Our favorite Monster truck

I am going to surprise the kids with a trip to the monster truck show. we absolutely love going to the shows and our favorite is Grave Digger. The boys will be over the moon when they find out. I am not going to tell them, I am just going to take them and let them realize where we are and what for, when we get there. It is going to be great!

Beautiful

This is so beautiful. I have always wanted to visit Scotland and seeing pictures like this only make me want to go there that much more. I showed this to my mother and she has suggested a trip with just her and I, so we can go enjoy vistas like this one at our leisure. I think that sounds like a wonderful idea.

Ducks for our pond

We have a nice big pond on our property. The kids want to put ducks in it, so I have been looking around to see where to find Ducks for Sale. I have a place where we buy our Chicken Breeds, and I know they sell ducks as well. I found all kinds of neat Duck breeds online. The prettiest ones are the Mandarin Ducks, and they are really expensive. I would love to have a pair of them, but I don’t want to have to worry about anyone stealing them.

When I Buy Ducks, I will definitely be getting a breed that is pretty. The Mallards are most likely what I am going to buy. They are pretty and not so uncommon that we would have to worry about them disappearing due to theft. Maybe one day after I fence in the property, I can buy the Mandarin ones. I really would like to have a pair of those.

Having a blast

I love summer. We always have so much fun. The kids and I have been to the creek a few times already and the movies to see Avengers in 3D. The movie was awesome and the creek was just as much fun. They just love the rope swing that is there and catching cray fish as well. We brought home a bunch and put them into a fish tank but they didn’t survive. Now they have to release them when they catch them, because I don’t want to take them home just to die later. The kids wont eat them so that is the rules now. I hope everyone has a great day.
