New tires

Well boo, I have to go buy new tires for the Jeep. I really didn’t want to do that until after Christmas, but one of them went flat and my honey said to just go do it. Tires for a 4WD are not cheap by any means, but I have no choice so I will. I am going to have to take the kids with me and that can be a pain. Have you ever taken the kids to any kind of repair shop? If you have then you know exactly what I am about to go through. At least the shop we go to has a nice sitting room with a TV and refreshments as well. I will make them bring a book or something as well.

I have to write down what he told me about the tires to buy. I should have had him text it to me, but alas I didn’t think of it and he is at work. He wants me to get a slightly different tire then what is one there. The tires on it now are street tires only and he wants something a little sturdier than that. As you know we go out four wheeling and camping in remote places, so he doesn’t want to have to worry about the tires not being able to handle the terrain. That is definitely important when we are out in the woods. I will probably have to call him or take pictures of the tires from the shop and send to him so he can see what I am buying. I want to make sure that it is the right thing after all. I do not want to have to go back. I am not ever sure that you can once you leave. Better to get it right the first time.

I couldn’t help looking

In my search online for houses, I found beverly hills real estate site. A girl can dream, even though I will never have enough money to live in such a place. The homes were just gorgeous and expensive! Oh to live in a house like one of those. I could never keep it clean by myself that is for sure. I do wonder what it is like to live that kind of life, a life of privilege and lots of money. I definitely would not be able to sit around all day. I can’t keep still most of the time as it is. I am sure the staff that is required to keep it up would get annoyed with me interfering.

I saw a few that were so large that you could fit several families in there to live and hardly ever see each other. If I ever hit the power ball, I would buy one just to have for vacation. We would spend all of our extra time there, enjoying the Southern California weather. I doubt it gets as cold there as it does here, that’s for sure. I do know that it gets a lot hotter in the summer time. After all, death valley isn’t that far away. Oh well, enough time dreaming. I have work to do.

House hunting

Well we have really out grown this house and want to have a larger piece of property. I went and looked at a cute little farm this morning. The house wasn’t very large but the property was amazing. It had a barn, a chicken coop and a couple of other out buildings as well. I am encouraged even though it needs work. Needing work just means we can get it for a better price, and that is a very good thing. If we get it for a good enough price, we can just put an add on to the house and enlarge it, or close in the back porch. We have a lot of considering to do though.

So happy

My honey just bought me a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now we have to Jeeps and I am so happy. It is an early Christmas present from him and the kids. I don’t know how they were able to keep it a secret, because they went with him the other day to buy it. It was delivered today, just a little while ago with a great big bow on the top. The kids had just got home from school and he had just come home from work when it arrived. I was in shock. I never thought in a million years that he would get me such an expensive present.

It is a used Jeep, but it is new to me and I absolutely love it. Now we sort of have matching vehicles. His is a different model though. I can’t wait to go show it off to my friends and my mom. She is going to flip. He must have been saving for this for a long while and I had absolutely no clue. He has worked a lot of over time this past year though, so it shouldn’t come as any surprise to me.

I cannot wait until tomorrow. I have a lot of errands to run and I will be able to drive my new Jeep. I have to go to the DMV and make it legal first thing in the morning, then I will be all set to go. I hope that they are not very busy. I have to be home by lunch time. The kids have a half a day tomorrow and will be home much earlier then normal. After that, it will be a mad house for two weeks. By the end of the Winter break, I will probably be stark raving mad. Hehehe.

Personalized napkins

I had to re order the personalized napkins, because there was something wrong with the printing. I am not sure what happened, or if we got the wrong ones. It is no big deal, because we made a change to the order when we re ordered it. Now we just have to wait for the new ones to come in. I am sure that it was a simple mistake, but it is fixed now. I will put them in the storage with every thing else when they arrive. I wonder if I should check on the wedding favor bags as well, just to be sure? Nah, I think it will be fine.

I found an article on DealDash that tells you just what it is like to shop on their site. They give an amazing over view of the company and how it is almost like a game to be played. The DealDash Review also tells you what to do, to be successful on the site.

I think Deal Dash makes shopping online a lot more fun and bidding is easy. I have a few things that I am keeping an eye on right now. I am hoping that I win the auction for my bids. Check it out and see if you like it, because it never hurts to give it a try.

Wedding invitations

So themed Wedding invitations or generic is the question. If it is a normal wedding with no apparent theme, then generic wedding invitations will do, although you can choose the invitations in the wedding colors if you like. If there is a theme to the wedding then you have to decide if you want the guests to know ahead of time what that theme is, or if you want it to be a surprise.

No matter what you choose, RSVP cards are definitely necessary. This helps to know how much food and drink will be needed for the reception. After all, you don’t want to spend unnecessary money on too much food that will only go to waste. Careful planning can save money to be used on other stuff for the wedding, or for the honeymoon afterwards.

Wedding favors

Hmmm, the Wedding favors are a thank you gift to the guests, but should not be too expensive. They are a token of appreciation, that also serve as a memory of the joining of two lives. Some people settle for something simple, like a match book with the bride and grooms names and the wedding date on them. Others, have gone more exotic and put little glass containers with Beta fish in them. The guests end up with a pet to take home with them. That is actually a pretty neat idea. Finding something unique is usually a brides first intent, and affordable is the second.

For the boys

For Christmas this year, one of the presents I am getting the boys is Tuff Hedeman Cowboy Hats. They have been asking for a cowboy hat for a while now, but since they are kind of pricey, I didn’t want to get them until I knew they would take care of them. Like most boys, mine have a tendency to drop whatever they have in their hands or one them right on the floor. Then they step all over whatever it is and if it wasn’t dirty before they dropped it, it is afterwards. Now that they are a bit older, I think they will be able to take care of the hats. I will put up some hat pegs in their room, so they can hang them up. That should work nicely.

The online shoes promo code I found just saved me sixty seven percent on a pair of boots I have been looking at but really couldn’t afford till now. I was also able to get free shipping with another code from the same site. That lowered my cost even more and believe me when I tell you, it made me very happy. So, for all of the women out there who love to shop online for shoe deals, you really need to check this out. I know that I will be using this for a couple of Christmas presents for my nieces. They love shoes as much as I do.

I am going to use the promo codes for sandals now while they are really cheap, because I practically live in sandals in the spring and summer months. When it is warm out, I have to have my feet free. Unfortunately, I live where it gets really cold during the winter and cannot wear them then too. That is okay though, because it gives me a reason to buy boots like the ones I just bought today. They were lovely winter boots with fur around the tops, that will keep my feet toasty warm when I go outside.
