I decided to go over the bills for the month and I am ready to pull my hair out. The cold weather drove my electricity bill up trying to keep the house warm. I have good insulation and everything, but it was really cold out. I don’t like the kids to get sick, so I keep it warm in here. Being stuck in the house apparently made the water bill go up as well as the cable bill. We ordered a lot of movies last month for lack of anything else to do. I usually keep better tabs on the movie rentals, as they are expensive at five dollars a pop. I write it all down, but then again I really didn’t care at the time. I needed something to occupy the kids and that was that. Oh well, it will all get paid, but there will be less movies rented in the future. I am glad the weather is better, so they can spend more time out side.
Have to be replaced
My outdoor patio heaters just quit working. I think it is totally fried. That doesn’t surprise me though, because I use it constantly during the winter and I have had it for a few years now. I bought it for a winter birthday party and when I found out how well it worked, I started using it a lot. I like to sit on the patio and drink my coffee in the morning and heater keeps it nice and warm so that I can enjoy a little bit of outdoors at the same time.
The kids really like it a lot as well. Sometimes, they like to come out here and color or read. During the winter it is usually too cold with out the heater to warm the patio up. Fortunately, my patio can be screened in or enclosed. I have removable windows and panels that make a big difference during inclement weather. It is one of the best investments I have ever made in my home remodeling adventures. I wasn’t really sure at first that it would be worth it, but right after I did it, I bought the first heater and was amazed at how well it works.
The patio is the best place for messy projects. I can take up the rugs that cover the floor, in case the kids spill and if necessary, just hose it off. Those volcano’s they love to do for science projects and the like are always delegated to the back porch. There is only one project substance that is never allowed in my house, even on the patio. That substance is floam. That is the worst stuff ever created for kids to play with. I swear to you that it multiplies all on it’s own, and heaven forbid it gets into any kind of carpeting. You will never get it out. My kids agreed after our one episode with it, that it shouldn’t be allowed back in the house.
Well, I have a lot to do today and I am not getting much of it done sitting in front of the computer. I will talk to everyone later on after I have finished.
Errands
I am about to go run some errands before the kids get home from school. Between the grocery store and various other places I have to go, it will take a good two hours to do even though I don’t need that much. I could buy just about everything at one place, but it is so much cheaper to do it the other way. Even with the gas I spend, it is cheaper to go to multiple stores. Oh well, off I go.
Order time again
As you know, I have a small job with a friends hotel. I do the inventory and such, as well as help with the books. It doesn’t take a lot of time per week, just a few hours a day. It is made that much easier for Hotel Supply, when the staff is so well trained. The books are probably the most difficult, because occasionally something is left out. I never have a problem finding the discrepancies though. Georgia Hotel Supplies Online make ordering everything we need easy as can be.
In addition to the hotel, I have to take care of ordering the Hotel Bar Supplies. The bar is relatively easy to order for as they don’t really have that many things I need to order for them. I should be home in a few hours, just in time for the kids to get off of the bus. I do have a few things I need to update and tell you guys about, I will get to it then.
Sending Some Hcg to My Girl
I am sending some of these hcg drops to my girlfriend in California. When she found out exactly how well they were working for me, she got really excited and wants to try it out and see how it works for her. Since she doesn’t make a lot of money, I am being nice and helping her out with them. It really doesn’t take much to help a friend in need and she is a really good friend. There was a time when she helped me out when I was having some serious problems and I am happy to return the favor. I hope they work as well for her as they have for me.
Direct mail services
As the company is expanding, we have decided to start using direct mail services to help get to our target customers. We hope to bring in even more business with this particular medium. This new advertising campaign has taken a lot of time to put together. We have been so busy with it and expanding to another city, I have barely had time to breathe at work.
This year is going to be amazingly busy for us. We did so well over the last year, I was amazed. With the economy the way it is, it is really surprising that things have been so good.
Lift kit
So I bought my honey a lift kit for his 4WD for Christmas. He was so surprised by it. I knew which one he wanted and ordered it online. Hiding it was difficult to say the least. I had to get it up into the attic after I wrapped it, so he wouldn’t try to shake it to see what it was. When I took it down from there to put it under the tree, I buried it under the kids presents that we already had. He never even knew it was there.
You should have seen the look on his face when he opened it. That look was priceless. He didn’t think we had the money for it yet, but I had been putting away money for Christmas all year and didn’t let him know how much I had. It was a little trick but so worth the effort. Now his Jeep will look amazing with the lift on it. We are going to have to put some steps on it just to get into it now. Fortunately, they are not too expensive and we can get them buy the end of January. He will install everything at the same time.
I am so happy that I did this for him. It is hands down one of the best presents that I have ever bought him. He does a lot for us though, so he really deserved it. He asked me if I wanted one on my new Jeep, but I said no. I have to do the grocery shopping for the house and it would be too much to try and get the groceries in and out of it. Not to mention the kids have to be able to get in and out of it every day. Just too much trouble for an everyday vehicle.
Build your own Cob home
I am glad that these skills are coming back today. Learning to build a cob home is relatively easy and is amazingly cheap to do. If your friends help you, they learn new techniques that are really helpful to them as well. It is a very green way to build and is very sturdy in comparison to some of the materials that are used today for most wood frame houses. I have been studying this for a while now and would really like to try it someday. I may start with a cob outbuilding for my property, or something like that. We shall see.

My honey found me a great SUV for my Christmas present and I absolutely love it. I has everything I would have chosen for myself. I think he did an awesome job car shopping.
