Olympics

I was just invited to the Summer Olympics in London. I am so excited. I talked to my mom and she has agreed to keep the kids for two weeks so that I can go. Who could turn down and all expense paid trip to London. My best friend is taking me with her parents. They rented London Apartments for various family members and when someone who was already paid for couldn’t go, I got the tickets. This is going to be amazing. The London Apartments they rented are centrally located so that we will be in thick of everything we want to do.

It was really smart of them to do this the way they did. Almost her whole family is going, so that is why they rented London Apartments. It is cheaper all the way around and the hotels were all full so this worked out great. I know that we are going to have a blast. I will be so happy to see all of the places that I have read about in the history books and novels. I know that I am going to want to go back again some day too.

Besties

I hate it when my friends move away. One of my besties moved to Oklahoma and it really sucks that I cannot see her and the kids anymore. She called me and told me she found a Native American shop that sells authentic Native art. She is sending me a piece to a set she decided to buy for me. I love her so much. She does little things like that and it makes me miss her that much more. I hope she comes home to visit soon.

Depression

Someone I love is seriously depressed. Depressed to the point of wanting to end it all. I am frightened for this person and I don’t know how to help him. I wonder how such a thing can happen, much like many of the things that happen in the world. This is close to me though and very difficult to deal with. I don’t want to make things worse, but I want to help. I want him to understand that so many people love him and that him leaving us would make things worse, not better. I am so upset right now.

The bar

I am so happy. I found the perfect bar stools for my bar in the game room. We have a pool table, Foosball table, stereo and big screen TV with X-Box and WII set up. Since we set the game room up in the basement, it is rather large. It opens up out the back through double sliding glass doors right onto the patio where the pool is. We can have pool parties and be indoors and out doors at the same time. The bar will be stocked well with all kinds of drinks for the young and old.

I am going to have the first pool party with a full bar on Memorial Day now that it is almost finished. I might even have one on the Fourth of July as well. We shall see how the first one goes first. I cannot wait to show off all of my hard work to all my friends and family.

Oh no

Oh no, my best friends house burned down. I offered for her to come stay here with her kids, but she refused. She said that the Salvation Army is putting them up in a motel and she needed the time to regroup. she was lucky that recently she had bought a Sentry Safe for her valuables and important documents. That was a god send to her in this crisis. The emergency crew rescued it the next day when the Sentry Safe inspector came to determine the cause of the it.

Her mother was happy that she bought the Sentry Safe after she found out about the fire. She even decided that it was a very smart thing to do and is going to purchase one for her house as well. I have had one for a long time, because I had flood damage once and lost the paperwork I needed. Since it is water proof, I don’t have to worry about that happening again.

Awesome Idea

Ok, so my best friend came up with an awesome idea. I can’t tell you exactly what it is until we have patented it but I can tell you that she wants my help with it. Since I have a business degree, she asked me to help with all of the logistics that are involved in the patent process and starting a web page, etc. I am looking forward to this whole process as it is something new to do and exciting as well. Wish us luck on our new venture.

A few things for the house

I decided to buy a few things for the house. I like to entertain during the summer months with BBQ’s and such. Therefore, I am getting a few of the things that are on my wish list for this years summer season. The first is a set of linon 24 inch blackmetal swival chair for the bar I found at a garage sale a couple of months ago. The extra chairs will allow for more seating as well as adding a nice visual for the back porch.

I want a 3-gallon beverage dispenser with cooling cylinder for behind the bar as well. Then I can use it for half kegs of drinks for my parties. A beverage dispenser with cooling cylinder makes it so I don’t have to keep buying loads of ice for every entertainment and if there is left over it wont get hot later on because there will be no melted ice.

This is good

Oh the kids are going to be so happy. I ordered the most delicious looking cheesecake online and it just came in. They absolutely love this stuff. We have made our own from time to time, because you all know how much we like to cook and bake, but this is amazing. Cheesecake is definitely a favorite in our house. I have found lots of recipes online that we have tried over the years. I think the internet is the best thing ever invented. There is nothing you cannot find online.

This cheesecake is a gourmet one with different flavors. It is huge too. I bet it last for a week or more before it is all eaten, even the kids will have a hard time with it. I may take a couple of pieces over to my elderly neighbor. She is such a nice old lady and doesn’t have a lot of family nearby. I try to spend a little time with her whenever I can and so do the kids. I have the greatest kids.

Winter trip

I am so jealous. My best friend is going to Le Village Arc 1950 on a ski trip with her new boyfriend. I had never heard of it before, so I looked it up to see where it was. It is so beautiful. I am saving all my research on it in the hope that I can go there too one day. The Les Arcs Accommodation she found are absolutely amazing. I didn’t realize that there were places like that in France for skiing. When I think about skiing over there, I think about Switzerland.

I am looking around for Apartments in Les Arcs myself. Then I just might show them to my honey and see what he says about a trip there. He really likes to take trips and has been talking about a short European trip for the two of us. I think he will be pleased with just such a trip as this. I am crossing my fingers that he likes it.

Give me a good reason

When people act stupid and then expect you to just forget about it, well that annoys the hell out of me. An apology is in order when you act like a child. You know you were wrong, so be a good friend and say your sorry, before you expect forgiveness. I apologize when I mess up. Why can’t you? I love you, so please grow up and act like a mature, responsible adult. Thank you so much.
