Love this

I just found some awesome flameless candles with timer on them. I absolutely love that! Now I can turn them on and if I forget to turn them off before I go to bed or fall out on the couch, they will turn themselves off. That makes things so much easier on me for many reasons. First off, it will save me a ton of money on batteries. That is a definite plus. Secondly, as I mentioned before if they turn themselves off there is no worry.

I love candles. I keep them all over the house. I have ones that makes the house smell good and others just for how they look when they are lit. My friends and family tell me that I am a candle fanatic, but that makes things easy on them since they always buy me some sort of candle for holidays and such. I am ordering these new candles asap.

Letting go

Sometimes people come into your life and then leave it again. Learning to let go when they are gone can be difficult. It has taken me a long time to figure out how to do that. I believe that these people are sent into our lives to teach us something and when they leave us, it is because we have learned all that we could from them.

I have recently lost a friend, who just walked away over relative non-sense. I am not sure exactly what I was supposed to have learned from her, but I must have learned something. Perhaps it is just not to let too many people get close to me. I am not sure, but what I am sure of, is that eventually I will figure out what it is when the time is right.

Pow wow

I took the kids to the Indian Pow wow this past weekend. We had so much fun and the kids learned so much. A friend of mine has a daughter who was the Pow wow princess this year and last year. The kids thought it was really neat that they knew someone who was actually in the ceremonies. They made me promise to bring them again next year. I told them that there would be another one in the spring and we would certainly go.

Charity event

The event planning for the Feed the Hungry charity we have here in our little town is well under way. I am on the planning committee with my mother and we have gotten so much done already. Our dinner is the first week of November, just in time for the holiday season when so many people need help. I know that it is a busy time of year for people, but making time to help others is worth it.

Getting married

It seems like everyone is getting married. I don’t know if it is this time of year or what, but all of a sudden people are just up and heading to the court house to get married. This is two in the last week alone that have done it. Must be something about the end of summer or something like that .

I am just shaking my head over it and giggling a little. One couple, I know should not have done it, but there is no talking sense into people who think they are in love. Ah well, I just wish them the best of luck and when it starts to fall apart, I won’t answer my phone for a while. I think it is rude to say I told you so, so it is better not to say anything at all.

I would really like for people to start being nice to each other. So many people are just plain mean. There is so much strife and drama in the world. Everyone just cares for themselves and no one else. If we cared more about our fellow man, the world would be a better place to live in. All we can do is hope that people realize what they are doing and make a change, even if it is only one person at a time.

I love sterling silver jewelry. It last longer than gold and doesn’t cost nearly as much for quality pieces. I started wearing silver as a kid and just never lost my love for it. It is what I buy for my family and friends as gifts as well. I have found so many online stores to purchase from, that I have a long list saved up. I use that list frequently.

Looking for a new house.

My best friend Jen is looking for new houses for rent in fayetteville nc. The neighborhood she has been living in for the last nine years has really gone down hill and she wants to get her son in a better neighborhood. Sometimes you have to do what is best for your child, even if it is hard. This is probably not the hardest thing she will do, but she is a single mother, so it isn’t easy either. I hope she finds what she is looking for soon.

Irritated

I really get tired of when I try to help someone and they are unappreciative of it. No matter how nice I am, I end up having to be a bitch because they take advantage of me. It get’s old after a while. Unfortunately it wont stop me from being the person I am, someone who cares. I really shouldn’t anymore, but that is not how people are supposed to be and it goes against the grain to be otherwise. Ah well, I will try to have a good night since my day hasn’t been.

Neighbors mailbox

Well some kids messed up my neighbors mailbox two days ago and they came to me to find out where I got my mailbox and posts. I had to replace mine twice because of kids until I had custom mailboxes made for my house. Now they don’t mess with it anymore. I was very happy to help my neighbor as we are a close knit community here. I was even able to help them find out who did it since I have a security system that has video as well.

I know that they will be happy with the custom whitehall mailboxes they ordered today. I hope the police catch the kids destroying the mailboxes, but I doubt they will. They don’t seem to care about mailboxes very much when they have so many other things to worry about. Not that I blame them, they are very busy protecting the community.
