Cleaning up the yard

Don’t ask me how so much garbage and stuff gets all over the yard, because I have no clue. I think a lot of it has been blown in by the wind. It has been really windy lately and I know that stuff have been flying about a lot. I also had a problem one day with a stray animal getting into the garbage, but we picked all of that up already. Oh well, I suppose it is good that the weather isn’t that bad today. A little breezy and over cast, but that is about it. The kids are already working on the yard now. That way we don’t have to mess with it this weekend. Yaay for me!

Helping your community

Ever since I was a teenager I have had a passion for helping others. When I was in Junior High, we had to do community service and it taught me something more about life. Life can be very difficult for people and giving them a little bit of help and hope for the future is very important. There is a community outreach program that I really like. It is the sing for hope program that uses art and artist to help raise money and also to help children through artistic self expression. For kids, this is very important if you live in an inner city area without much hope of leaving it.

I have been to areas like this and a lot of times the kids just need a little attention to explore what it already there, so they can tap their own inner resources and help themselves. Many times these kids have single parents who work multiple jobs and are unable to give them that attention. Many singers and artists volunteer their time and resources to help these kids find and reach undiscovered talent.

These same artists also volunteer their time to perform in healthcare facilities for the patients, visitors and staff, bringing joy and hope to them as well. Projects like this are wonderful for communities and bring people together. Anyone can join and help out. Those who have a talent for teaching are most welcome as well. If you can play an instrument and are willing, you can make a difference in a child’s life. Our children are our future. Helping them is very important. Passing along knowledge for future generations is imperative. I am going to donate both time and resources to this worthy program and have my kids help as well. There is no reason for them not to learn the life lesson I had when I was a kid.

Freaky video mystery

This is kind of freaky. I want to know which one of the wives did it. It is a mystery song and video about a cheating man who pays for it with everything. Lately some of the songs I have heard have been very morbid, even in country music. I hope I hear some new feel good stuff too soon.

HCG is the way to go

For all of you women and men out there trying to lose weight without success, I have the perfect thing for you to try. HCG drops are without a doubt one of the best that I have ever taken. They really help you lose the weight. HCG drops are Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, also known as the pregnancy hormone. When this hormone kicks in during pregnancy, it allows for the stored fat to be used up to support both mother and baby. I remember when I was pregnant last, I lost a lot of weight at first. Now I know why I lost it. I hope this helps others who struggle like I did losing weight.

This child is a hot mess

I love him unbelievably, ad he keeps my in stitches of laughter constantly. He does some of the silliest stuff. Last night as I was cooking dinner, he came and asked me what was for dinner.
Me; food.
Child; What kind of food?
Me; The kind you eat.
Child; What kind of food you eat?
Me; Liver and onions.
Child; Yay! Yummy to my tummy!, and then he skips away.

Never in a million years would I ever have thought that I would hear such words out of a child’s mouth. Ya gotta love em!

A search

I have to make a search for a A Few Good Plumbers. I have some plumbing questions that I need answered right away. I want to re do the main bathroom and put in a heated floor in it. Since I know that it uses water, I believe they will be the ones to ask about it first before I make any decisions. We shall see.

Lots of errands

Gosh I had a lot of errands to do today. I had to got to like five different stores to get everything done and make a trip to the dump on top of it. I had to go to the tobacco store for a carton of cigs, then to the Co-Op for de-wormer for the dog. After that I hit the dump on the way to the Dollar and grocery stores. I know that I went somewhere else too, but for the life of me I cannot remember what the other place was. I know that sounds bad, but all I can do is laugh a little bit about it. I think the kids have sucked all of the brain cells I had left out with each birth, not to mention the raising of them. Oh well, I guess it doesn’t matter. I think I got everything done I needed to. Now am doing laundry, cooking dinner and working in between the two. Talk about multi tasking.

The saxophone

My son has decided he wants to play the saxophone. He has listened to jazz and the blues with me all of his life and has fallen in love with the sound. My dad used to play the sax and that is also a factor as well. I told my father about it and he has offered his old sax to my son to use. I have to look up Morgan mouthpieces because that has to be changed first, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to find.

That perfect moment

I have music playing while I work. The kids are all in bed and my man just came in from work. All of a sudden he holds his hand out to me, I take it and get out of my chair. He pulled me into his arms for an impromptu dance here in my living room. It is moments like these that a woman treasures always. I have always tried to tell people that it is the little things that matter to a woman the most. It’s the little fake flowers he brings me from the gas station for nothing other then that he thought of me when he saw it sitting there on the counter while he paid for his gas. An impromptu dance in the middle of the night after he comes home from a long shift at work, or even just a small kiss on my neck while I am doing dishes or cooking dinner. All of you men out there should really try to remember this…it is what keeps a relationship working.

For my Jeep

I found more parts for my 4WD Jeep. I really am having a lot of fun shopping for the stuff I want to fix it up. There is so much to choose from when it comes to modifying a Jeep. I have looked at all different set ups and have a few different ones in mind. Like most women, I am having a little trouble making up my mind about them. They all look so good, that it is hard to choose. I was thinking about putting a rack on the top of it for storage, but I am not sure which one will be better.

There is also new bumpers and fenders and other such stuff which will make my Jeep look amazing. My boyfriend has fixed his up and made it look really good. When he bought me mine for Christmas, he bought it with fixing it up foremost in his mind. My Jeep is a little different from his, but the concept is the same. We have had so much fun with our jeeps, that my brother is considering buying one as well. He was over here yesterday watching us search this site for parts. He gave his input of course on what he thought would look good and be useful as well.

I have a place drawn out with only a few adjustments for other stuff. Bestop is going to help me with some of that. I can’t wait to see the finished product. It is going to be so sweet looking. I hope to have it all done by the end of April. That should give me plenty of time before camping season gets here. We are already planning our first trip to the Smokey Mountains. We will be going as soon as school lets out half way through May. It’s going to be so much fun.
