One of the towns nearby wasn’t able to have their fireworks celebration due to rain, so they are having it today. I have decided to take the kids, so they can see another fireworks show. They don’t know yet and I am not telling them. We will load up and go there later on and let them be surprised. I really love surprising the kids with special stuff like this.
Found one
I had mentioned before ( I believe) that my cousin was looking for a lawyer for bankruptcy. Well apparently he found one and is happy with the choice he has made. The lawyer is helping him to not lose quite everything in the process. He has been so worried about this lately and now he can breath a little easier. With any luck the process with be a painless as possible.
Running a crew
Well it seems that my honey is now running a hvac crew at work, but they haven’t as of yet, offered him more money for doing it. He is going to have to talk to them about that soon. If you run a crew, you get paid more money. That is how it works. Hopefully, they will offer it to him when he goes in, before he even has to ask them.
Kids
So the kids decide to play in the woods… great. One comes back with blood down his leg and can’t figure out how it got there. After cleaning it up and looking closely at it to make sure it isn’t a snake bite, I have come to the conclusion that he must have gotten it from thorn bushes that abound out there. I have told them over and over to STAY OUT OF THE WOODS. There are snakes and they could be bitten. Do they listen? Nope.
Can I go back to bed? I want to start this day over. *smh*
Family
My cousin Crystal is getting a divorce and is having a really bad time with it. She had to find and Alimony Lawyer Boston to help her, as she helped her husband start and maintain his own business. Apparently he doesn’t believe that she deserves anything after all of the time she put in. It is always sad when people split up and their marriage is over. I really liked her husband and it is still a bit of a shock that they are ending it.
Since they have kids she chose Amy Huff Harris who also does the alimony as well. She is doing everything she can to protect the kids, but they are still understandably upset. Family lawyers are really good at their jobs though and will make sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. I will have to call Bruce and talk to him as well. No matter what he is still family and I am sure he would like some reassurance that we are not just upset for her sake. He is a good man. I wish I knew what had happened, but she just said they grew apart. It doesn’t make a lot of sense as much as they loved each other, but I suppose it happens.
Kids fighting already this morning
*sigh*
I guess it is going to be one of those days. They are already at each others throats and since I STILL have no coffee ( no I never made it to the store for a coffee pot), today is really not the day for them to be acting like fools. I think it is time to send them all out of doors and run off some energy. It is supposed to thunderstorm in a little while though. We were supposed to go to the creek and have some fun, but I don’t see that happening. Although it hasn’t started raining yet, I am sure as soon as we were to get to the creek it would start. I need another alternative to keep these kids occupied and out of each others way.
MOVIE DAY ! That’s it ! I will start playing movies and let them eat popcorn and such. Nothing sweet, (they don’t need the sugar) and that might keep them occupied for a while.
My hair
I really love these new feather accents for your hair. There are websites that have seasonal collections that have not only the feathers, but hair chalk that you can use to have a different look without it being permanent. I really like the spring and summer ones a lot. Of course since it is summer right now, and the colors happen to match my bikini they are just perfect. I have never tried the hair chalk before, but it ought to be interesting. According to one site, it is easy to apply and wont permanently stain your skin, hair or clothes.
I am always up for trying new things when it comes to fashion. I do have a good sense of what will not look well on me, but I never buy clothes without trying them on. Likewise, there are beauty salons that have these products and I can have them do it once to see how they look first. I intend to do just that. My daughter wants to get the feathers as well, so I think we will have a mother/daughter day and see how we like it. Perhaps we will even get a manicure and pedicure as well. I know that she will absolutely love that.
Grrrrr
Well this isn’t how I wanted to wake up this morning. I went to make coffee and the coffee maker apparently decided to quit working. Now I have to go to the store and get another one if I want to have my morning coffee. That does not bode well for my day. I am seriously thinking about going back to bed and waking up later, but I still wont have any coffee. Zzzzzz
Great retirement place
My honey’s parents have decided to retire down south in Florida. They chose this really awesome place in Vero Beach. It is called Orchid Island and it has a golf and beach club. We are going to travel down there in a couple of weeks to see it and help them choose their house. They are going to make sure that it is large enough to accommodate family when we come to visit. I cannot wait to see it. I know that it is going to be awesome.
This place has all kinds of awesome amenities, like activities for the residents that keep them busy. They also have kids activities and holiday events as well. My children are going to absolutely love this place, I can tell. His parents want to be moved down there before winter kicks in this year. They have grown tired of the really cold weather and like most retiree’s Florida has the kind of weather they are wanting. The winters are balmy and the summers humid and hot. Old bones seem to need that I suppose. In any case, we will know exactly what they are getting soon and have a little mini vacation at the same time. It is only for a few days and then we will be home again.
Happy 4th of July
I just wanted to give a shout out to all our men and women in service as well as to wish everyone a Happy 4th. Today is going to be a great day, we have lots of activities planned and I know that we will have a blast. We are going to a BBQ and then will shoot off fireworks while we watch the big fireworks from across the water. It is great having friends with the perfectly placed house to see fireworks from.
