I am about to go run some errands before the kids get home from school. Between the grocery store and various other places I have to go, it will take a good two hours to do even though I don’t need that much. I could buy just about everything at one place, but it is so much cheaper to do it the other way. Even with the gas I spend, it is cheaper to go to multiple stores. Oh well, off I go.
College books
Well we found a place to order my nieces college books online. She will be able to visit one of their many stores when she gets to school, if she needs anything else. I am sure that she will, the professors always add something or another, but with any luck she is covered. I am so proud that my niece is going off to college. It makes me feel a little bit old though. Seems like yesterday, she was a little thing playing in my closet and trying on my shoes with her little feet. I think I am going to tear up now.
Post office
It’s not often that I need to go to the post office anymore. It made me realize that I must not be the only one who finds them pretty much redundant. I am kind of saddened to think that this is the reason so many of them are closing or cutting their hours. I feel bad for the people who work there and are being affected by this change. I hope that they can find ways to compensate for the loss of hours or jobs.
