New York street sweepers

Did you hear about the street sweeper in New York that killed a mans dog as he was walking it down the street? How absolutely awful. I’m sorry but you would think the gentleman would have kept the dog back away from the street sweeper to begin with but to watch that thing jerk your dog right out of his collar must have been a horrifying experience. Sometimes people just don’t think and unfortunately this mans dog paid the price.

Motorcycle precession line

The father of my first child was killed on a motorcycle when I was 5 month pregnant. There were about 100 or more mostly Harley Davidson’s that just passed my house in a funeral precession for a woman that was killed on a Harley Davidson a couple days ago. She was riding with her husband who is in critical condition and another woman on her own Harley and is also in critical condition. A drunk driver hit both motorcycles killing the one woman. He should be charged with premeditated murder!!!!!!!!!!

My sons father was trying to get home before it started raining when he was on his Yamaha. He was trying to pass three cars in front of him that were going slow and didn’t realize that the minivan in front was about to make a left hand turn. He ran up under the van and was killed instantly. That still to this day haunts me.

Poor baby Penguins

I just read about hundreds of baby penguins being washed up on shore in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. It is not common for them to find both adult and baby penguins there it said but this year has been a record year unfortunately. There are some who think it is from over fishing in the waters where they usually go to catch fish for themselves for food and others blame pollutants.

We have to start looking at what we are doing to our environment before we are the only animals left on our sickening planet. If just each of us would commit to one day a week of not driving, that alone would help with the air pollution. If each of us would commit to more and better recycling, that would help too. There is so much more we can do to help and I personally am going to start checking into what more I as an individual to do.

I really need a lap top

I’ve been looking for a new laptop and I have found one that I think will work out perfectly. I ordered it online from Wal-Mart today. It’s an Everex 7 CloudBook. Have you seen them? They’re a very portable laptop that I will be able to tuck in my hand bag and take practically everywhere I go. It only weighs a little over 2 pounds and I can’t wait to get an email telling me that it has arrived at the store and then I can go pick it up! I had it sent to the store instead of being delivered to my home address and saved the $9 shipping I would have had to pay otherwise. I like that policy. I can’t wait to get it. That tax stimulus check has come in handy.

This day couldn’t have been better if I had custom ordered it. A bunch of us got together and went to a local lake on a friend’s pontoon and had a blast. We fished, (I caught the biggest one) we played music, we laughed and we just had a great time. It wasn’t too hot and it wasn’t too cold. I’m telling you it was a perfect day. There’s nothing better than being on the water, sunshine, and good friends and I had it all today. I don’t get to go out without my children very often so it was a real treat but I have to admit. I ended up feeling guilty that I didnt bring them along. Mom let them play on the slip n slide in her back yard so they had a good time too.

Saturday again

I woke up this morning, looked at the clock, jumped out of bed because I was late for work and realized it was SATURDAY!!! I hate it when I do that. I haven’t done that since I was in middle school. My oldest just did that too.

She came home from school just before the end of school this year and had to read this boring stuff for English class and fell asleep. When she woke up, she looked at the clock and it was about a half hour after she normally got up to get ready for school and the sun was going down so it looked kinda like it would at that time of morning. Anyway, she jumped off the bed and took off to the bathroom to get ready for school and I had just sent her little brother to get her for dinner. He looked at her and said “What are you doing?” She looked at him like he was stupid or something and said “Getting ready for school, why?” Then he started laughing and told her that I had sent him to her room to tell her that dinner was ready. Yeah she felt real stupid about then but we all got a good laugh.

Make mine natural

I’m a big fan of natural things that help make you feel better, and many people already know about echinacea that comes from the purple coneflower. There will always be scientific debate over how effective these natural cures can be. Our ancesstors used natural cures and some do work just like some don’t but that’s true with medicines too,

I know from experimenting on myself that echinacea, astragalus and some types of mushrooms certainly kick in the immune system or mine anyway. They can also give you a yeast infection just like antibiotics though. So if you are the kind of person that keeps a bottle of echinacea in your medicine cabinet, I recommend adding some reishi and shitake mushrooms to the mix along with astragalus. That will help keep down the yeast infections.

That’s not a bill!!!

My daily mail usually consists of mainly an assorted junk mail and bills. So imagine my delight to find only one single piece of mail, all by it’s lonesome, sitting in my box this afternoon. It was almost like hitting the lottery when I realized this one piece of mail just so happened to be my tax rebate check. Now that I know how much it is, Ineed to do some serious thought on what is the best way to use this. I have to make it go as far as I possibly can and one things for sure, I will do that. School will start again before you know it and my children will all need a lot of things for that so this will help a great deal. It will also pay for a new comptuer too.
