All of these are legitimate companies that didn’t spend quite enough time to consider how their online name might appear! Look at the business names and then look at the difference they came out when put together! These are not made up. You can check them out yourself!

Turn unusable space into usable space

My mother has an attic that she wants turned into a room for her computer and her crafts.  That way she doesn’t have to convert a bedroom just in case we come home to visit.  I told her that I would check online and find her a good company that does things like that.  Well I found one.

What an amazing animal!!!

The K9 above is Brutus, a military K9 at McChord. He’s huge – part Boxer and part British Bull Mastiff and tops the scales at 200 lbs. His handler took the picture. Brutus is running toward me because he knows I have some Milk Bone treats, so he’s slobbering away! I had to duck around a tree just before he got to me in case he couldn’t stop, but he did.

Brutus won the Congressional Medal of Honor last year from his tour in Iraq . His handler and four other soldiers were taken hostage by insurgents. Brutus and his handler communicate by sign language and he gave Brutus the signal that meant ‘go away but come back and find me’. The Iraqis paid no attention to Brutus. He came back later and quietly tore the throat out of one guard at one door and another guard at another door. He then jumped against one of the doors repeatedly (the guys were being held in an old warehouse) until it opened. He went in and untied his handler and they all escaped. He’s the first K9 to receive this honor.

If he knows you’re ok, he’s a big old lug and wants to sit in your lap. Enjoys the company of cats.

Thought you’d find this interesting. Talk about animal intelligence and bonding with humans! Remember that they can’t do a lot of things for themselves and that they depend on you to make their life a quality life!

Friend in Philly had a bad accident

I have a real good friend from college that now lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She was involved in a real bad car accident and it wasn’t her fault.  She was out of work for months because of her injuries.  Thank goodness she had enough sense to contact a law firm in Philadelphia.

Insurance companies try really hard to settle up with you as fast as they can so they don’t get ‘stuck’ paying for a lot of problems that occur even months after an accident.  It’s not right but that’s the way it is.  My Daddy always told me, make sure if you are injured, you contact a lawyer before you sign anything from an insurance company.

Friends going snowboarding

I have some crazy friends that love to go snowboarding.  All of them have Burton snowboards and want me to go with them this weekend and try it.  I know they have a blast because I have seen some of the videos of them on the slopes and I have to admit, it does look like a lot of fun.

The only problem is I have a hard enough time staying up on two skis and they want me to try on just one board.  I can’t even ride a skateboard.  I think I’ll go and give it a shot.  If I like it then I guess I’ll be getting a Burton snowboard too.  Well that is if I don’t break my neck first.

Cute childrens clothes

Oh do I wish I had a kid or two to buy clothes for after finding this web site.  I have seen so many kids running around in the cutest funky little clothes and they look absolutely adorable.  This is where you can find those  designer children’s clothing like you see all of the celebrity kids wearing.  They are the cutest things I have ever seen.   They have clothes for babies on up to size 7.

They have shirts, pants, shorts, jumpers, head bands, bibs, and even costumes.  You can shop for boys or girls clothes on this site.  They even have shoes, socks, sunglasses, sweaters, swim suits and jewelry for the girls.  They have tutus and blankets too.  The tutus are just about the best part of the whole shopping experience because of how gorgeous your little one would look in them.

For boys they really have some neat things.  They have rompers for the little guys, jeans, shirts, T shirts, belts and underwear for them.  They also have blankets, sweat shirts and costumes for boys too.  You can shop by product, by size, or by brand too.  They even have an ‘on sale now’ link.  You can also get gift cards that you can give for a kids birthday or other special occasion.  It’s a really neat site.  If you have kids, check it out.

Chicago Police don’t seem too ‘on the ball’

It’s looks pretty bad when a 14 year old boy can walk into a police department in a uniform without a badge on, get assigned to a beat and then ride around with a ‘partner’ for four hours before they figure out he’s not a cop.  Worse yet, he’s not even an adult.

A 14-year-old boy accused of impersonating a police officer and going on patrol has pleaded not guilty. The teenager appeared in a juvenile courtroom on Monday with his hands cuffed behind his back. A judge ordered that he be held at the juvenile center because he could pose a danger to himself.

On Saturday the teen, wearing an officer’s uniform, walked into a police station and was assigned to go on patrol. He partnered with another officer for about five hours before the ruse was discovered.

The boy did not have a gun, never issued any tickets and didn’t drive the squad car. Deputy Superintendent Daniel Dugan said the boy looks older than 14 and was motivated by a desire to be an officer, not malice or “ill intent.”

The worst part of this whole story is that this little incident could keep him from being able to become a police officer.  Wouldn’t that be a shame?  I think so.  It sure doesn’t say much for the Chicago Police Department that it took them 5 hours to realize he wasn’t even a Police Officer, does it?

The boy once took part in a Chicago program for youth interested in policing, so he would have been familiar with some procedures, perhaps helping him blend in, police spokeswoman Monique Bond said.

The Rev. Roosevelt Watkins said the boy had lived with him for much of the past year and is fascinated by police work.

Found some more mailboxes I like

Remember me telling you about the other mailbox I have?  Well I found some even better mailboxes.  These are for not only residential but also commercial mailboxes.  One of the best things is these mailboxes are theft proof and there fore protect your identity by not allowing just anyone to get to your mail.  You can’t be too careful these days with all of the identity theft around.
