Time for a cute joke
Only a person in Texas could think of this. It says it’s a true story but I don’t know. I just thought it was too cute not to share.
DWI – TEXAS STYLE!
From the county where drunk driving is considered a sport, comes this true story. Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a bar in Austin , Texas . After last call, the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so apparently intoxicated that he could barely walk.
The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing. After what seemed an eternity in which he tried his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car and fall into it. He sat there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off.
Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off–it was a fine, dry summer night–, flicked the blinkers on and off a couple of times, honked the horn and t hen switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patrons’ vehicles left.
At last, when his was the only car left in the parking lot, he pulled out and drove slowly down the road. The police officer, having waited patiently all this time, now started up his patrol car, put on the flashing lights, promptly pulled the man over and administered a breathalyzer test.
To his amazement, the breathalyzer indicated no evidence that the man had consumed any alcohol at all! Dumbfounded, the officer said, `I’ll have to ask you to accompany me to the police station. This breathalyzer equipment must be broken.’
‘I doubt it,’ said the truly proud Redneck. ‘Tonight I’m the designated decoy.’
Talk about lucky!
A friend of mine married a guy in the service. Well she just called me all excited about moving to Hawaii. Talk about lucky. I wish I could even visit there and she’s lucky enough to move there. Not to mention she’s got a great guy too.
They are using this company that brings out this ‘ReloCube’ out to their house for them to pack all of their stuff into, and then they ship it where they’re moving too. That is great. In fact they are in good standings with the Better Business Bureau too so they know their stuff will be okay with them.
Good one by the Air Force this time!
Luke AFB is west of Phoenix and is rapidly being surrounded by civilization that complains about the noise from the base and its planes, forgetting that it was there long before they were. A certain lieutenant colonel at Luke AFB deserves a big pat on the back. Apparently, an individual who lives somewhere near Luke AFB wrote the local paper complaining about a group of F-16s that disturbed his/her day at the mall. When that individual read the response from a Luke AFB officer, it must Have stung quite a bit.
The complaint:
‘Question of the day for Luke Air Force Base: Whom do we thank for the morning air show? Last Wednesday, at precisely 9:11 A.M, a tight formation of four F-16 jets made a low pass over Arrowhead Mall, continuing west over Bell Road at approximately 500 feet. Imagine our good fortune! Does the
Tom Cruise-wannabes feel we need this wake-up call, or were they trying to impress the cashiers at Mervyn’s early bird special?
Any response would be appreciated.
The response:
Regarding ‘A wake-up call from Luke’s jets’ On June 15, at precisely 9:12 a..m., a perfectly timed four- ship fly by of F-16s from the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base flew over the grave of Capt. Jeremy Fresques. Capt Fresques was an Air Force officer who was previously stationed at Luke Air Force Base and was killed in Iraq on May 30, Memorial Day. At 9 a. m. on June 15, his family and friends gathered at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City to mourn the loss of a husband, son and friend. Based on the letter writer’s recount of the fly by, and because of the jet noise, I’m sure you didn’t hear the 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, or my words to the widow and parents of Capt. Fresques as I gave them their son’s flag on behalf of the President of the United States and all those veterans and servicemen and women who understand the sacrifices they have endured..
A four-ship fly by is a display of respect the Air Force gives to those who give their lives in defense of freedom. We are professional aviators and take our jobs seriously, and on June 15 what the letter writer witnessed was four officers lining up to pay their ultimate respects. The letter writer asks, ‘Whom do we thank for the morning air show? The 56th Fighter Wing will make the call for you, and forward your thanks to the widow and parents of Capt Fresques, and thank them for you, for it was in their honor that my pilots flew the most honorable formation of their lives.
Only 2 defining forces have ever offered to die for you….Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

My friend wants plastic surgery
I have a very good friend that wants plastic surgery. She says that it will help her to feel better about herself. I don’t know if it will or not but she has to decide that for herself. She has been checking into different Breast Augmentation Prices and has found out that it’s a lot cheaper to have that type of surgery done in Europe than here in the US.
It surprised me to find out that the surgery can be even half or less what it costs here. If she goes to Europe to have this done, she not only gets a vacation but also hopefully will have a better outlook on herself. That would be wonderful for her.
I love this!!!
I don’t know if this is true or not but it sounds like something the Marines would do!!!
Two California Highway Patrol Officers were conducting speeding enforcement on I-15, just north of the Marine Corps Air Station at Miramar. One of the officers was using a hand held radar device to check speeding vehicles approaching the crest of a hill. The officers were suddenly surprised when the radar gun began reading 300 miles per hour. The officer attempted to reset the radar gun, but it would not reset and then turned off. Just then a deafening roar over the treetops revealed that the radar had in fact locked on to a USMC F/A-18 Hornet which was engaged in a low flying exercise near the location.
Back at the CHP Headquarters the Patrol Captain fired off a complaint to the USMC Base Commander. The reply came back in true USMC style:
Thank you for your letter. We can now complete the file on this incident. You may be interested to know that the tactical computer in the Hornet had detected the presence of, and subsequently locked on to your hostile radar equipment and automatically sent a jamming signal back to it, which is why it shut down.
Furthermore, an Air-to-Ground missile aboard the fully armed aircraft had also automatically locked on to your equipment location.
Fortunately, the Marine Pilot flying the Hornet recognized the situation for what it was, quickly responded to the missile system alert status and was able to override the automated defense system before the missile was launched to destroy the hostile radar position. The pilot also suggests you cover your mouths when cussing at them, since the video systems on these jets are very high tech. Sergeant Johnson, the officer holding the radar gun, should get his dentist to check his left rear molar. It appears the filling is loose. Also, the snap is broken on his holster.
Thank you for your concern.

Friend having a baby
A friend of mine is having a baby. She has gotten some of the cutest maternity clothes. Maternity clothes used to be boring and kind of plain but not anymore. She found a web site online that has some of the cutest, trendy and most of all affordable maternity clothes I have ever seen in my life.
I have to admit that some of them I would love to have for myself but I’m not having a baby. One things for sure, I know where to go if and when I do get pregnant. Oh and get this, you can get 20% off of your purchase with a simple coupon code. That code is ‘blogfriends’. I helped my girlfriend save money with that code and you can too.
Much needed rain but a dreary day
Well today was dreary as could be but we did get some much needed rain, thank goodness. We were fine in January as far as the drought goes but now it seems that we are back into a moderate drought because since January, we haven’t gotten much rain at all. In fact, we’ve gotten half of what we should have gotten.
That’s not good. I just hope that this mess straightens out and we start getting what we’re supposed to get. I just hope we don’t do like a lot of places have done and end up with too much rain, ya know what I’m saying?
Need some color?
I love white walls believe it or not. But I don’t love bare walls. There are lots of ways to bring color into your rooms. One is with the furnishings you have in the room. Another is with accessories you put in your room too. Brightly colored on a neutral colored couch can really brighten a room. Not only that but brightly colored lamps or flowers can too. There’s a lot of different ways to accomplish the look you want even with white walls.
Here’s one that I love. It’s with canvas art and you know how much art can add color to a room. Not only color but also a richness you can’t quite match with just smearing paint on your walls. Don’t get me wrong, walls painted and accented the correct way can really make a room special but I prefer my wall art do that for me instead of the color of the walls.
You can set the mood of a room with art work depending on what you choose. Landscapes bring the outside in and flower art work does too. I love artwork of scenery. I can travel to a tropical island with a beautifully painted piece of art work.
Recession hurting a lot of marriages
Everyone knows that one of the main things that destroys relationships is money. It seems that this recession is not only taking it’s toll on investors and home owners but also on their marriages. That’s not too hard to figure out is it?
If there’s not enough money to pay the bills, of course it causes major stress between the couple. Of course they don’t mean to blame the other for being laid off but it’s hard not to sometimes. I’m just really glad that I’m not in a relationship right now. I have a hard enough time keeping myself happy, much less trying to keep my partner happy too.
Sure my dinners don’t have nearly as much steak or high priced meats as they did a few months ago. You cut back where you can and hope for the best but when there’s two of you and a mortgage, two car payments and so on, it’s hard to cut back when you have next to nothing coming in. I wish them all the best and hope and pray that the recession doesn’t break up as many families as it has displaced workers.
