I need something new to wear to the carnival this weekend. Something that I won’t get too hot in or too cold in either because this time of year, you never know what the temperature is. Plus riding some of the rides can be a bit chilly. Besides everything else, it’s a darn good excuse to go shopping for something new. Don’t you think so? I do!! I might even get my sister to go with me. She’s really good at picking out clothes. Better than I an unfortunately.
I have put on a few pounds
You know how it is ladies, you get a new boyfriend or potential new boyfriend and all of a sudden, you realize you need to drop a few pounds. I always gain a little over winter but this past winter I put on about 15 pounds in all the wrong places. I hate diets because they don’t work but I love the protein drinks and snacks they have a the Protein Shop. I can drink one of their protein drinks for breakfast and one for lunch then have a sensible dinner and it works like magic for me. I keep some of the protein pretzels at work just in case I need something to munch on.
It’s a date!!
Ever since the new guy started at work, I have had a crush on him, and I have been dreaming of him coming up to me asking me out, and by golly he did! Not exactly in those words, but the other day was very rough and hard on me, and I felt like I needed somebody to talk to. He must have seen it in my eyes and asked me if I needed someone to talk to.
After I told him about my day and how it went, he had full intentions to make me smile and feel better for the rest of the day. All he did was give me advice and gave me a shoulder to lean on, and that got me to finally open up to him that I sort of have a crush on him.
He took my news very well, and had asked me to go with him tomorrow to a Carnival that was held about an hour away from where I live, and I of course said yes! I would be a fool to say anything other then yes. I cant wait to see how everything works out, I’m sure it will all go smoothly and heavenly! Or I hope it will anyway.
I’m watching the banks
I used to dabble a little in the stock market until that all went down the tubes. That’s true of a lot of people too unfortunately. Now I have been checking online to find the Best CD Rates so I will at least know my money will be there and even gain a little anyway instead of worrying it’ll all be gone.
They’re finally back
I got my hummingbird feeders out a couple of weeks ago and no hummingbirds. I thought they would be back by then but they weren’t. Oh there were plenty of bugs that managed to get into the feeder and drown but that was all until today. I finally saw a hummingbird and now I have to go home and make new nector for them because the other is probably sour by now. I make my own from 1 part sugar to 4 parts water and it works just as good at what you buy. It’s cheaper though!!!
I love movies
I guess I got my love of watching movies from my mother. She loves the old classics thought. I found out where you can Watch movies online. Isn’t that the neatest thing. No more renting from the local video store or ordering from an online movie club and then waiting for them to come to you only to have to send them back. All you have to do is sit back in your computer chair and Watch movies right there anytime. They have all types of movies from animated for the kids or the kid in you to horror movies. I’m not much on those. Give me a good old fashioned chick flick and I’m happy.
Dance yourself around the world
Today I learned that Matt existed. I never knew Matt before; in fact I still haven’t met him in person. I have, however, learned that he exists and that he has traveled around the world making videos of himself dancing. He actually know he has a website about his trip around the world, showing clips of himself dancing at the different locations where he went. Now I don’t mean tap dancing, or break dancing, or any kind of formal training “gee he’s great” dancing. He does not happen to be a good dancer, but what is remarkable about this is that eventually he got a sponsor to pay for him to travel around the world dancing and videotaping himself. Twice! In real life, he has never cared much for work and is not rich, so the fact that he managed to travel around the world at all is remarkable! If you can watch the video, I encourage you to do so. It is entertaining to see.
Mom’s at it again!
Now she called me and wants me to come over and clean out her gutters Saturday. I don’t want to do that on Saturday, I have better things to do. I told her that she needs to check into getting Gutter Guard for her gutters so that the leaves and stuff like that can’t get in the anymore. She’s wanting to make improvements to the house and that would be a huge improvement if you ask me.
Best of all, Gutter Protection isn’t just that mesh stuff that you used to only be able to get. They even make gutter roofs too now. There’s a company out of Chicago that keeps up on all of the latest ways to protect your gutters. Because of that, they’ll always have the best state of the art products. I suggested she check with them and see if they have a company somewhere around here. One of my friends at work was saying their parents just had them do that to their gutters and they are totally satisfied. This company has been in business for over 15 years so they must be doing something right. Sounds like a heck of a good idea to me for her to check into it. I just hope they have a company around here or can recommend one anyway.

My cousin is having a birthday today. She is 25 today – a quarter of a century! Oops! I resemble that remark!
Lisa and I hardly ever get to see much of each other. Her mom moved to Florida when Lisa was just a kid, but thanks to email and now these blogs we can always stay in touch with each other. It would have been cool to grow up with a cousin close to the same age, but that was not to be.
Lisa didn’t want to go to college – she worked all through high school at a Dunkin Donuts and learned so much about the business world and good customer service, that she was a valuable employee right out of high school. She found a great job right away and has been promoted over the years – and she deserves everything good that comes her way.

Wow this is great for New Jersey
New Jersey has a new web site to help people find jobs. New Jersey Jobs helps companies to find employees and help the unemployed to find companies that are hiring. It’s through the Chamber of Commerce too so that just gives people another way to search for a job. I know New Jersey has always had a bit of a bad reputation but how bad can it be when some very famous people are from there. Bruce Springstein is just one of many that grew up there. It’s really a beautiful state if you’ve never been the and also has one of the highest per capita incomes of all 50 states. You just might want to consider checking it out if you’re in need of a job. I sure wouldn’t hesitate if I needed a job.
