A lot of places still have water restrictions

The drought we have been going through the past couple of years has made a lot of people more water conscious.  Did you realize that you could save enough water to fill a swimming pool by changing your old toilet to one of the  low flow toilets?  Well you can.  You’ll also save yourself a lot of money if you pay a water bill.

Just imagine this.  A regular toilet uses about 3 and a half gallons of water to flush your toilet while a dual flush kit uses only 2.1 gallons of water.  You conserve over a gallon of water that way.  Now on the average, you probably flush your toilet about 10 times a day.  You’re saving over 13 gallons of water a day.  That adds up quick.

Here’s the best part, you don’t even have to buy a new toilet to save that much water.  The dual flush retofit on most standard toilets saving you even more money.  I like saving money, and conserving water too, don’t you?

Mom’s going all out

I suggested to Mom that maybe she needed to get some new clothes and possibly some new furniture since Daddy had passed and she had walked around the house for the past couple years missing him something awful.  I thought it might help her to move on.  Well it must have done the trick because now she’s going all out.  She’s even doing some remodeling too.  Thank goodness  she called Richmond remodeling to do the work because at least with them, I don’t have to worry that they will rip her off like some would.

That’s a shame that there are people that will take advantage of a woman alone and just take advantage of her and overcharge or simply do shoddy work.  Well that won’t happen with them.  They are a highly reputable company and when they do a remodeling job, they do it right the first time.  If you aren’t satisfied with their work, they’ll make it right to suit you too.  That’s hard to find in this day in time.  They will do anything from a simple paint job to a complete remodel job.  They will also work with your budget too which is great.  A lot of companies aren’t like that.

Cousin invited me to visit

I have a cousin that lives in Los Angeles California. She’s been trying to get me to move out there for quite some time. She asked me to check out Los Angeles Jobs but I’m just not ready to move away yet.

Sure California has it’s good points and it’s bad points but what place doesn’t.  My mother doesn’t even like for me to visit because of the pollution and it’s also known for having the worst road rage in the country but it’s also a beautiful place.  You just have to know what parts to stay out of, just like any other town.

Cars in ditches everywhere

It looks like I’m not the only one that didn’t want snow this time of year.  I have seen more cars in ditches in the past couple of days than I have seen any other time it has snowed around here this winter.  In fact, it wouldn’t be a far stretch to say I have probably seen more in ditches in the past two days than I have all winter combined.

I guess body shops and tow companies are happy but I know for a fact that the owners of the cars aren’t.  I wonder if the insurance companies are happy or not?  Who knows with them.  They’re probably happy because now they have a good reason to raise peoples rates.

I got new bedroom furniture

Well I finally decided on what new bedroom suite I wanted and it’s being delivered tomorrow.  I was surprised that they would agree to deliver on a Saturday but they did.  It sure helped me out because I don’t have to take any time off of work to be here for them to deliver it.  Isn’t that wonderful!!!

Well I have decided to donate my old bedroom suite to the Crisis Ministries close to where I live.  That way, it can help a family in need of furniture.  I just can’t see giving it away to someone that doesn’t really need it.  I was taught as a child that you help those in need so that’s what I hope my old furniture will do, help someone in honest need.  It feels good to think that I might be able to help someone in need and there are a lot of people out there in this day in time that are in need.

Pickings are slim now

You know, American women have fought hard to be able to have careers, families, and as they say ‘Have it all’.  Well honestly, the pickings are getting very slim when it comes to finding a suitable man to marry.  I think one reason is because a lot of men not only in the United States but also in the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia aren’t interested in a ‘career woman’ for a wife.  What they seem to want is quite different.

Russian brides are now what they seem to be looking for from Russia.  Of course there are beautiful women in Russia just like there are beautiful women all over the world but it seems that Russian women have not been allowed to have careers and so all they know is to stay at home and be a good wife to a man.  There seems to be a lot of men that still want that.  Well there are a lot of American women that want that too but with the economy as it is, a lot of women have no choice but to work.  I really can’t say as I blame men for looking outside of their own country for a bride.  A lot of the women in their own country must not want them either.

Friend having a baby

A friend of mine is having a baby.  She has gotten some of the cutest maternity clothes.  Maternity clothes used to be boring and kind of plain but not anymore.  She found a web site online that has some of the cutest, trendy and most of all affordable maternity clothes I have ever seen in my life.

New Bedroom furniture for me maybe?

Helping Mom look for new furniture has gotten me interested in maybe getting a new bedroom suite too.  I found some ideal standard bathrooms online that really sparked my interest.  The selection was great so it took me quite a while to find just a couple that I could narrow my choices to.

Then I decided to check out bathroom accessories that would go along with my new look in my bedroom.  There’s nothing worse than having a master bedroom with a bathroom in it that doesn’t flow along with the bedroom decor.  I have seen that too many times in my friends homes.  To me, it takes away from the beautiful bedroom if the bathroom doesn’t reflect the same style, you know?

Then I came across the kudos showers and suddenly decided I needed a part time job to do what I wanted to do to both my bedroom and master bathroom.  But you know what, it’s going to be fabulous when I finish.  I can’t wait to get started.

My friend is in financial trouble

She has a nasty habit of using her credit cards for everything from gas to groceries and usually pays most of it off when her statement comes but when gas went through the roof, she couldn’t do that.  Now she’s in over her head.  Not to mention, the credit card companies want such high monthly payments now that she’s gotten herself in a bind.

I told her she needs to check into some sort of Debt Settlement and they can help her to get through this rough spot she’s hit in the road.  It can happen to anyone and these guys help in more ways than most.  They will help keep you from having to file bankruptcy which is where she’s headed if she doesn’t do something soon.
