Looking for furniture online with my friend

I told you that my friend is moving to Wilmington, NC.  Well since she’s moving into a new house, she’s going to need more furniture than she has and really needs to replace some she has.  A lot of it was hand me down when she got married to help them out.  She wants a new living room suite but not just any living room suite either.  She wants an Oasis sofa made in Belgium.   I have to admit it is beautiful and 100% original, guaranteed.  Then she started looking at entertainment centers.  She wanted something unique and that’s what she found.  It’s called LC-Bandarole 1 made in Italy.  I have to admit that I loved it too.

Then she was off to the bedroom.  She said she could take her old one and put it in the guest room but she wanted a new bedroom suite for their bedroom.  Something modern and classy.  She fell in love with the Ben Comp 6 from Spain.    I loved it too.  It’s gorgeous!!  One things for sure, if you want high quality modern furniture, this is the place to start.  They also offer financing.

If you don’t find something you absolutely love, it will shock me.  Oh and get this, all of this furniture comes from a store in New York too.

Friend moving to Wilmington, NC

I have a friend that is moving to Wilmington, North Carolina.  She has some family down there and knew to call Wilmington NC Real Estate to help her find a home there. She was totally surprised to find out that Prudential Real Estate and Laney Real Estate in Wilmington NC becoming Prudential Laney Real Estate.  It was a great surprise because there are even more houses that she will be shown through just the one real estate office.  Good move!!! Wrightsville Beach Real Estate was another one she was going to check out to try and find a home too.  Wrightsville Beach is a great beach that’s close to Wilmington where her new job is located.

Jayce’s brother is putting up a swing set

Jayce just asked me to go with him to his brothers this weekend.  See, it’s their daughters birthday and their son’s birthday is only two weeks after that so they have gotten them a great swing set for their birthdays.  They’re not having their birthday party for another week I think he said.  That way they can do the together but the swing set is for both of them but given on her birthday.  Swing sets are great for kids in the summer.

We always had either a swing set or at least a tire swing if not the whole set.  Tire swings are a lot better than the ones we had.  Ours was just an old tire tied on a string.  We had to watch out for water getting in them and other stuff too.  These you don’t have to worry about that at all.  They carry all sorts of safe playground equipment, swings and swing sets of all types and sizes including tire swings, swing n gliders, daycare supplies and playground accessories too.

They’re installing new software at work

They just told us Friday that when we come back in Monday, they will have some new software installed that will not only help the office, but will help each of us individually and as a group.  Sometimes we have a project that we work on as a team and if we’re under a tight deadline, then we have to work on it over the weekend to get it completed in time.  Well this new software is going to be a huge help with that.  It’s a remote access software that will allow computers to ‘hook up’ to each other.

One of the best features of this software is the fact that if you’re having computer troubles, they can fix the problem by hooking up to another computer and fix it from that computer.  Anything from configuration issues to what ever else can go wrong and you know how computers can be sometimes.  I really think mine is a blond as goofy as it acts from time to time.  Another great thing about this software is the fact that PROXY Pro 6 Workstation Edition uses authentication and fine-grained permissions to make sure that only authorized technicians can access remote computers. It also has state-of-the-art 256-bit encryption which ensures that all communications are private and secure so you won’t have to worry that just anyone can access your computer.

You learn something new every day

Jayce just told me last night that his brother is on the police force.  I really admire anyone that is in the military or on the police force because they put themselves in harms way to protect us.  One thing that blew me away is the fact that the police department doesn’t provide all of the tactical gear that they need.  Jayce was telling me that his brother gets most of his 5.11 Pants and other tactical gear online.  They have just about everything that a police officer would need to protect them and be able to carry the gear they need.  Anything to keep them safe is the way I feel about it especially since they put their lives on the line every day.

I’m watching the banks

I used to dabble a little in the stock market until that all went down the tubes.  That’s true of a lot of people too unfortunately.  Now I have been checking online to find the Best CD Rates so I will at least know my money will be there and even gain a little anyway instead of worrying it’ll all be gone.

I love movies

I guess I got my love of watching movies from my mother. She loves the old classics thought. I found out where you can Watch movies online. Isn’t that the neatest thing. No more renting from the local video store or ordering from an online movie club and then waiting for them to come to you only to have to send them back. All you have to do is sit back in your computer chair and Watch movies right there anytime.  They have all types of movies from animated for the kids or the kid in you to horror movies.  I’m not much on those.  Give me a good old fashioned chick flick and I’m happy.

Mom’s at it again!

Now she called me and wants me to come over and clean out her gutters Saturday.  I don’t want to do that on Saturday, I have better things to do.  I told her that she needs to check into getting Gutter Guard for her gutters so that the leaves and stuff like that can’t get in the anymore.  She’s wanting to make improvements to the house and that would be a huge improvement if you ask me.

Best of all, Gutter Protection isn’t just that mesh stuff that you used to only be able to get.  They even make gutter roofs too now.  There’s a company out of Chicago that keeps up on all of the latest ways to protect your gutters.  Because of that, they’ll always have the best state of the art products.  I suggested she check with them and see if they have a company somewhere around here.  One of my friends at work was saying their parents just had them do that to their gutters and they are totally satisfied.  This company has been in business for over 15 years so they must be doing something right.  Sounds like a heck of a good idea to me for her to check into it.  I just hope they have a company around here or can recommend one anyway.

Well looks like another neighbor is moving

There are so many people moving out of our neighborhood that it’s becoming almost a weekly occurrence.  I hope I never have to move again but I’m sure I will at some point.  One things for sure, when I do, I’ll check out the moving companies very carefully. You can’t be too careful when you decide on a movers because you’re basically trusting just about everything you own to them.  You have to make sure they have a good reputation.  Personally I think I would rather use Budget Van Lines since I know several people that have used them.

Some people prefer to use one way truck rentals which is great if you don’t mind doing all of the work yourself but one things for sure, you know you will pack your stuff carefully.  I’m not sure I would want to do all of that myself.  After some of what I have read about Budget Van Lines, I still think that’s who I would get to do my move for me.  But to each his own I guess.  I just hope everyone has done their homework and checked out who’s moving their stuff!!!

Now my sister has the bug

I guess since Mom has gotten so into redecorating and I have been doing some too, my sister has now caught the redecorating bug.  She was asking me about home address plaques because she had noticed that I have a nice address plaque on my front porch.  She said she hadn’t really thought much about it until she saw how nice mine looked and wanted to either find some address plaques she could choose between or maybe an address sign would be better.

She has a rather long driveway and thought that maybe address signs might be  better since you would be able to see them better from the street.    Well I suggested she not only get one for at the street but she could also choose from the wall address plaques for her porch too.  There’s nothing wrong with having one at the end of the driveway and one on the house.  She agreed and now it will take her a week to pick each one out.
