Beautiful furniture!

I’m a modern kind of girl and therefore like modern furniture.  The problem has always been to find what I really have in mind that I want.  Well I have solved that problem.  I have found the most beautiful furniture that is modern furniture I have found so far and they have a variety of styles too.

I found the most gorgeous living rooms you have ever seen.  The lines are clean, the colors amazing and the variety of materials are amazing.  Can you tell I really like what they have to offer?  The main problem I have with them is that there are so many to choose from that it’s hard to decide.  I can see about 8 of them in my living room.

Let’s not forget the bedrooms.  I can imagine myself curled up in the middle of several of their choices snug as a bug in a rug.  Wouldn’t it be great to wake up in one of their beds?  Oh and their tables and even closets are absolutely amazing  too.  I’m in furniture heaven!!!

Now my mother is checking out mailboxes

I was telling my mother about some of the mailboxes I found online and she went surfing looking for one for her house.  She came across premium Whitehall mailboxes so I checked them out too.  Wow are they nice mailboxes too.  I had no idea there were so many different mailbox sites online.  At least with me telling you about them, it gives you a chance to find one you like.

Found some more mailboxes I like

Remember me telling you about the other mailbox I have?  Well I found some even better mailboxes.  These are for not only residential but also commercial mailboxes.  One of the best things is these mailboxes are theft proof and there fore protect your identity by not allowing just anyone to get to your mail.  You can’t be too careful these days with all of the identity theft around.

There is a wide variety of materials used to make these mailboxes too.  You can get one made of steel, aluminum, cedar, stainless steel, brass, or copper.   What ever suits you and goes with your type of house.  They have formal styles or novelty type mailboxes too.  If you have a brick thing built to hold your mailbox, any of these will slide right in.

I’m a ‘Pick-up Truck’ kinda girl

A lot of ladies like the little sporty cars or the cute little cars but I’m a pick-up truck kinda girl.  I think I should have been a boy.  I never have been what you might call a ‘girly girl’.  I was always a tom boy.  What ever Daddy was doing, I was too.  Daddy had a dodge 1500 and I loved it.  In fact, I bought Daddy’s truck from Mom when we lost Daddy.

I had thought about trading it for a 2009 dodge 1500 but decided to keep Daddy’s because the new truck just wouldn’t smell like Daddy the way his did.  They are really good trucks too.  In fact, if you want to check them out, they have dodge 1500 reviews you can check out online.  You’ll see what good trucks they are from that.

I like just about any dodge they make in all reality.  I love their vans.  After all, dodge came out with the first vans and they make the best still today.  Once I get married and have kids, I’ll probably have a dodge caravan.  I love them.  My sister has one and it has a DVD player in it with the stow-n-go seats.  That’s the best thing they ever came out with in a van.  It really gives you a lot of room in the back if you need to haul something.

Canvas Awnings

I have been checking into canvas awnings since I went to a friends house in New York State.  Canvas awnings were added to their back patio for a sun shield and made all the difference in the world in how much they could use it. In the summer, it gets too hot sometimes and that heat radiates on their patio doors and makes their interior hotter too.  Then in the winter, they have a patio fireplace and with the awning, they can use the space more as it helps hold the heat from the fireplace better and can be used as a wind blocker to keep your home warmer too.

They were telling me about Roll Out Awnings which would be perfect for my patio but I don’t live in that area.  With the roll out awnings, you can roll them out when you need them or if you want the sun, you just leave them rolled up.  That helps to make your patio or deck more functional and will probably have you out on your deck or patio more.

She even had Door Hoods added on her basement and side doors so when it rains and they use those doors, they’re is a cover over them. That allows you to open and close your umbrella outside instead of inside.  You’re adding value to your home, space that is used more and they look great too.  Now I have to find someone close to where I live to install some on my townhouse.

I love decorating

I have always loved decorating with Stainless Steel because it looks so clean and polished.  I found the most perfect stainless steel mailbox for my townhouse online.  With stainless steel, I won’t have to replace it again in a few years like plain old painted medal mailboxes.  Sure I paid more for it but it will save me a lot of money in the end.  They have several styles of blomus stainless steel mailboxes if you’re interested in something like that too.

I’m lucky enough to also have a fireplace in my townhouse.  Nothing warms you better than a nice fire on a cold day but a fireplace is more than that.  It should be a focal point in your room.  Well I got stainless steel fireplace accessories for my fireplace and it really set the room off.  I have the tool set, wood rack and even the glass fireplace screen.  It’s beautiful.

On my patio I also have blomus stainless steel fireplace accessories for my stainless steel fire pit that mount on my wall.  so I can enjoy my patio on cooler days too.  You can even buy stainless steel fireplaces that burn bio-ethanol fuel and is mounted right on your wall.  That makes me wish I didn’t have a build in fireplace so I could get one of those.  I like trying to help the environment and that would.

It has gotten so darn cold

I’m not one that likes cold weather.  I should live somewhere where it stays around 70 degrees year around but there’s no such place.  If I lived where it’s around 70 degrees in the winter, then it’s so darn hot in the summer that you can’t hardly breathe.  I guess I am like everyone else and just can’t be totally satisfied with anything.

I know, I need a summer home and a winter home.  I need a summer home in Phoenix Arizona.  I don’t think it gets that cold in the winter there but then I need a summer home in maybe Denver Colorado.  I don’t think it gets very hot there in the summer.  I need to win the lottery if that’s the case.  Wait a minute, you have to buy tickets to win that, don’t you?

Glad the holidays are totally over

Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years all run into one long holiday around out house.  That makes for over a month worth of a holiday.  I’m always so happy to see New Years Day so I can get my house back to being just my house instead of a holiday house.  I finally got everything put away for next year yesterday.  it took about 3 days of walking around finding all of the stuff that comes out for the holidays so I could pack them away for next year.

I have got to come up with a better form of decorating for the holidays.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the Christmas Tree with all of the lights and memorable ornaments but I hate putting it up and taking it down.  I don’t do live or real trees anymore.  It just didn’t seem right to me one year to kill a tree to celebrate the birth of Jesus.  Oh well, that’s just me.  Maybe next year I’ll scale back just a bit.

Snow Day

It’s been snowing all day today but there is no snow on the ground. It falls from the sky in a shower of flakes and then melts on the ground. We haven’t had any disruption of school or bad traffic issues, thank goodness. But it was our first official snowfall today.
