What beautiful flowers

I have a cousin that lives in New York City and for Easter, her mother had some of the most beautiful flowers delivered to her since she couldn’t come home for Easter.  She ordered them online from New York Flower Delivery and had them delivered to her at her work on Friday.  Of course, everyone wanted to know who was sending her flowers.  They thought she had a boyfriend hidden somewhere or something.

I checked online to see just how much my aunt paid for the flowers since they were absolutely beautiful.  I was surprised at the price too.  It was very reasonable and cheaper than anything even slightly similar around here.  They do custom arrangements and are really great at it too.  The flowers were very fresh and my cousin said they are still beautiful today.

One of the best things about this florist is there’s no service fee and 100% satisfaction guarantee.  Plus they deliver on the same day if you want and delivery is free.  It’s a shame they don’t deliver here because I sure would love to have an arrangement like hers.

Work boots and more

I don’t know about you but I love to wear work boots when I’m not a work.  I don’t think they look quite right with a dress in the office, ya know?  But I guess about my favorite boots of all are Wolverine Boots believe it or not. Since there were three of us girls and no boys, I was a bit of a tom-boy and followed Daddy where ever he went and wore what he wore, Wolverine Boots.

One of my friends is on Steroids

I have a close friend that has started using steroids.  Just the name steroids scares me to death.  I don’t like them and even talked to him about my concerns.  I know they can enlarge your heart right along with your muscles because after all, your heart is a muscle too you know.  He told me that I had nothing to be concerned about because he was using them responsibly.  In fact, he was under a doctors care while using them and had a prescription for them.  I asked him if his doctor worked on a street corner or in a real doctors office.

I decided to do a little checking into buying steroids through the Internet myself just to see if it was easy to do or what.  One web site I found helped to put my mind at ease just a bit.  It didn’t promote illegal use of steroids or even readily promote anabolic steroids for sale like I was afraid it would.  It was full of warnings about steroid use such as what harm it can do along with a few of the benefits too.  Steroids are like any other medication and should be seen as just that, medication.  It does have some benefits but they still scare me.

Camping when we were young

When we were younger, we took our camper and decide to camp on Assateague Island in Virginia. The fishing was great and my Daddy and us had a blast. Mom, my sisters and I had a great time at Ocean City Maryland shopping. The first night we spent on the island, we thought we heard something but didn’t really pay it any attention. Well the next morning, there was horse droppings here and there and also hove prints too.

I knew there were ponies on Chincoteague but didn’t realize they were on Assateague too. That was one of the reasons for going camping there when we did; we wanted to watch the pony roundup. It totally amazed all of us watching them swim the ponies across the Chesapeake Bay. If you haven’t ever seen the roundup, you have got to try and at least watch it on TV or possibly go to Chincoteague yourself and see this amazing display of humans taking care of local wildlife.

Crazy Weather!!

I don’t know about where you live but we have had some really strange weather around here. One week, it’s in the lower 70’s, the next week, we’re lucky to be in the mid 50’s. It’s no wonder there are so many kids sick. This strange weather is enough to give everyone pneumonia.

Oh listen to this. I think the low this week was supposed to be about 30 degrees. THAT’S COLD!!! It needs to either stay warm or stay cool. Not COLD!!! I’m just not much into cold weather. Besides, it’s Easter weekend so it’s time for old man winter to get the heck our of town!

My sister moved to Raleigh

My sister and her husband moved to Raleigh, North Carolina.  They bought a really nice house that has a two car garage attached to it but it doesn’t have any garage doors on it, can you believe that?  That just floored me that it didn’t have them.  She was telling me that they wanted to have some installed but since they just moved there, she wasn’t sure how to find someone reputable to do the work for them.  Her husband isn’t the most handy of all men but he’s a good man just the same.

I suggested she check Raleigh garage doors and she would have a better chance of finding someone that was not only reputable, but would do the job right and possibly find one that will do it at a fair price too.   In this day in time we all need to watch our pennies as they say so finding someone that will do the job right and not charge you an arm and a leg is just about as important as finding someone to do a good job.  I can’t wait to visit her and see her new house.  She sent me a picture of the house and when they get the garage doors installed, it’s going to look absolutely beautiful for sure.

I might not seem like this type but…

You might be surprised to find out that I absolutely love shooting paintball.  I might not seem like the type but I thoroughly enjoy it.  I was just looking at paint ball scopes so I can eliminate my friends better.  My father used to take me to a gun range and taught me how to shoot when I was young and I guess this is just an extension of that.  At least with this, you don’t really hurt anyone unless they don’t wear the proper safety gear and then they might get hurt but all of my friends and I always wear the proper safety gear.  It’s very important because if you accidentally hurt someone, that sure will take away from the fun.

A friend of mine suggested I check out Choicepaintballguns.com when I was looking for a new paint ball gun.  Paintball guns aren’t the only things they have either.   They have a wide variety of products associated with shooting paintball.  You can get the paint balls, all kinds of guns, scopes, the co2 cartridges that you need to propel the paint balls and even carrying cases for your paintball gun.  The prices are great too.  I have never heard of anyone I know of complaining that they didn’t get good service from their web site either so that’s a huge plus, don’t you think?

I’m so proud of my friend

I have always thought my friend acted a bit odd from time to time but thought it was just her. You know, every one’s different in different situations. Some days I’m really quiet and other days, well I’m wide open. She has been that way since our junior year in high school. I just thought maybe she was ‘blossoming’ since she was usually pretty shy. It wasn’t blossoming though. It was drugs.

She called me today and told me that she has a cocaine addiction. Cocaine!!! I was shocked. I didn’t know what to say. Then she told me that she was going for treatment for her addiction. I almost cried I was so proud of her. She’s a great person and has a really good family that is standing behind her all the way. That’s a lot more than some families would do.

The treatment center she’s going to is a really good treatment center too. I wouldn’t expect her family to send her to anything but a good one. I made sure to let her know just how proud of her I was for admitting she had a problem and going to get help. That’s a huge step in the right direction. I promised her that I would write her at least once a week while she’s gone.

Remodeling is good I guess

I haven’t said anything to my mother yet but I really wish she would leave the beach house alone and not remodel it.  That was Daddy’s favorite place in the world and I can still smell him there.  When I really miss him and need to feel close to him, that’s where I go.  He did a lot of the work on the house himself and it has his special touches like that plug that’s half way up the wall in the middle of nowhere.  I think that’s what you might call a home having character.  I call it what makes a home a home even if it is a vacation home.  I bet that plug is one of the first things Mom will do away with too.
