Cruise control….DUH-HUH!!!!!!!!

You might have heard of this before but just in case you haven’t, here it is.   Mrs. Merv Grazinski, of Oklahoma, who purchased a new 32-foot Winnebago motor home. On her first trip home from an Oklahoma University football game, having driven onto the freeway, she set the cruise control at 70 mph and calmly left the driver’s seat to go to the back of the Winnebago to make herself a sandwich. Not surprisingly, the motor home left the freeway, crashed and overturned.

Also not surprisingly, Mrs. Grazinski sued Winnebago for not putting in the owner’s manual that she couldn’t actually leave the driver’s seat while the cruise control was set. The Oklahoma jury awarded her, are you sitting down, $1,750,000 PLUS a new motor home. Winnebago actually changed their manuals as a result of this suit, just in case Mrs. Grazinski has any relatives who might also buy a motor home.

Sometimes I really think people should have to take competency tests to do just about anything.  It’s a shame we have to pay for someone else’s stupidity too but we do.

Here’s a thought

Are you sick of Exxon making record profit?  Maybe you should invest in the Russian stock market.  Heck you can even invest in their oil stock market.  Check out the Russian stock market review and see what you think. The Russian stock exchange might be something to really look into.

Daddy used to take me hunting

I used to love to go hunting with my Daddy.  Heck yeah I went hunting and even got a few myself but that was a long time ago.  I still catch myself looking at sites like eotech where they have some of the best deals on scopes you can find.

If you want to know anything about the products, it’s all there.  That way you can choose the best site for you and not just go by what some salesman tells you.  Not to mention they have great customer service and free shipping on orders over $29.95.  What more could you want?  Here’s the scope I would get for my Daddy.

Expensive hair!!!

A Richmond, Virginia man paid $17,000 for four strands of hair believed to have been snipped from the head of George Washington, the first president of the United States.  The hair was sold at an auction in Lexington, Kentucky.

The auction house owner, Jamie Bates said he had expected it might go for as much as $75,000.  “But I’ve never sold George Washington’s hair before, so I don’t know.”  The hair, which was pressed under glass, had been owned by a Philadelphia lawyer and had been handed down in his family for several generations.

My question is how could anyone ever prove if the hair was or wasn’t the hair of George Washington?  They sure don’t have any DNA from him to prove it.  It could be some old woman’s hair for all anyone knows.  Oh well, as long as the man that bought it is happy with it, then that’s all that really matters I guess.

Need a good pair of boots?

I love boots.  Especially in the winter if I have to be outside long. Double H Boots has just about any type of boots you could need from waterproof boots to western boots to work boots.  They even have double insulated boots if you are like me and your feet freeze when it’s cold.

Believe it or not, but when I’m in a casual type of mood, I love to wear either western (cowboy boots) or work boots.  It would take too long to try and tell you the different types of boots, especially work boots that they have so the best thing I can suggest is you check out their web site if you need boots.  I bet you’ll find what you need.

In need of boxes?

If you move, you need boxes.  If you’re packing away stuff, you need boxes.  But what if you’re a huge company that ships a lot of stuff, you really need boxes then.  Well San Diego packaging is the place you need to go then.  Not only do they make cardboard boxes, but they do so much more than that.  They also provide a wide variety of wooden containers, vapor barrier bags, steel fabrication, corrugated boxes and moving supplies, corrosion inhibitors, special applications, fixtures & material handling and also on-site packaging & shipping.

Their wooden containers come in small to large containers and are one of the most cost efficient ways to go because they’re completely reusable.  There’s less waste than with cardboard boxes.  They’ll even fabricate metal racks for you to store your stuff on in the boxes.  The vapor barrier bags are like those that computers or electronic parts come in.  You can’t let the elements get to them or they’re destroyed so if you need that added protection, you can get that here too.

But if a corrugated box is what you need for moving, they carry them too along with everything else you need to go along with them like tape, labels or whatever.  So if you’re in need of boxes of any type, you might want to check these guys out at http://valleybox.com.

Military family help with purchases

Military families move around a lot as most people already know.  So if they are going to purchase Furniture on Credit, it has to be with a company that understands they move a lot.  This one does.  They have Military Programs just for that purpose.  They are also Federal Government & Military Approved so that tells you that they can be trusted by military families.

They have an Easy Credit Program in which allotments, payroll deductions & direct deposit  are all accepted.  That’s especially good for families that get moved a lot or have to move back in with family while their loved one is deployed over seas.  It happens too often unfortunately. They have special ipod offer for Soldiers which is great I think.  These guys could really use something like that during their down time.

Their web site has a new look too so you should check it out.  They also have Computers on Credit with Easy Credit too.  Hey get this, they even have Free Nationwide Delivery.  How cool is that?  I find that totally amazing.  There aren’t many places that offer free delivery much less nationwide delivery which you have to pay out the wazoo for.

No I did not watch the Super Bowl

I like football.  Really I do but I didn’t watch the Super Bowl last night.  I already  knew that Pittsburgh would win but it would have been really nice if the Cardinals would have pulled off an upset.  It just wasn’t meant to be though.

I did get to see the commercials on the Internet today.  Some were pretty good like the Dorito’s commercial with the guy that the bus hits.  That was a good one.  The crystal ball one was pretty good too.  What the heck is SOBO?  That whole commercial was pretty out there and I don’t even know what the product is they were selling.  I loved the Budweiser horse bringing the huge stick.  That was really good.  Oh well, to each his own.

Is your life full of stress like mine?

I am one of those people that can handle stress up to a point.  Once I reach that point, look out!!  I heard about motivational keynote through the Stress Institute, and decided to check it out.  I was amazed at the information in it that really helped me a lot.

Everyone has stress like crazy right now between the stock market going up and down and layoffs left and right.  No one knows who’s next.  Take the time to check out this web site and see if it doesn’t help you out some too.  I bet it will.  It sure helped me out.
