With the economy in the shape it’s in and the banks being so stingy with the money they are supposed to be lending out, well bankers are appearing as a bit ‘heartless’. Well when I saw this, I knew that this was one banker that had a heart of gold or he sure wouldn’t have done what he did. You probably saw it on the news but just in case you didn’t, here it is:
Neighbor next door
My neighbor next door has the sweetest 11 year old daughter, Kendall. She loves to come over to my house and does as often as her mother will allow. See, I have a computer and they don’t have one an she loves to play games online on my computer. I always let her play as long as she wants. She’s a huge Hanna Montana fan too which I think is great because she really writes some great songs to help young girls feel good about themselves. Well I was looking for some new games to show her online and found a site full of Girl Games. I couldn’t wait to show her.
She usually plays different games that have to do with dressing up or cooking, you know, girl games! I had even bought her the game Disney kitchen and she loved it but she’s about outgrown that and that’s why I was looking for more online games for her. Her mother usually let’s her come over two or three times a week and when she does, I let her play for as long as she’s here which is usually a couple of hours before her mother calls for her to come back home. I think my mother is going to get a laptop computer and she said she wants to give Kendall her old one if her mother will let her have it. The only problem is I probably won’t get to see her as much then!
American Idol
I don’t watch a lot of TV and you already know my favorite show is Dancing with the Stars but American Idol is one of my sisters favorite shows. She always records it on her DVR so if something really good is on that show one night, she can show it to me. Well that boy on the show…Adam something, has the best voice I have heard in a long time. Man is he a cutie pie too. I figured he would win the show because I thought he was the best, most versatile and had a range that would blow you away.
Guess what? He came in second to someone that is also good but doesn’t hold a match to Adam. I’m sorry but that’s my opinion. I think I know why the other guy won and Adam didn’t. I think it’s the fact that Adam may not be heterosexual, he could be homosexual but what does that have to do with the fact that the boy is amazingly talented? Nothing at all. He reminds me of Freddie Mercury of Queen. He’s very flamboyant and puts on a heck of a show. I really think it’s a shame that America is still a bit homophobic. I have several friends that are homosexual and that has nothing to do with our friendship at all. I love them for who they are, period!!!
Annie’s finally seeking help!
My friend Annie suffered a very traumatic event three years ago, her house caught on fire but luckily her son wasn’t in the downstairs bedroom close to where the fire started. She has finally admitted she needs help because of the resulting drug usage afterwords. She’s finally checking into drug addiction counseling and I am so very proud of her. Just admitting she needs help is the first positive step to a full recovery. She has been through so very much emotionally that she turned to drugs to stop the guilt and pain she felt as the result of the fire.
Even though she knows it was not her fault, she just couldn’t stop thinking that her baby boy (who is actually 24) would have been caught in the fire and might not have been able to have gotten out because of where the fire started. At Realization Center LLC, they specialize in addiction and the underlying cause of it like a traumatic event. She’ll learn new ways to forgive herself even though we may not see that she needs to do that. I was just so very happy with her choice of treatment centers and I can’t wait to have my old friend back as good as she was before all of this!
Did you watch it last night????
Well did you? Did you watch Dancing with the stars last night? Oh my goodness, Shawn and Mark were incredible. I can’t wait to see who wins tonight. The bad thing is that means the show won’t be on again for quite awhile. I hate that. It’s about the only thing I watch on TV other than the news and an occasional movie. Oh well, if you missed their dance, here it is. I thought it was absolutely perfect because it not only showed some of what she has learned through out the competition but it also showed off some of her gymnastics skills. Plus, she’s just so darn cute and sweet and it’s not an act either, you can just tell.
Looking for furniture online with my friend
I told you that my friend is moving to Wilmington, NC. Well since she’s moving into a new house, she’s going to need more furniture than she has and really needs to replace some she has. A lot of it was hand me down when she got married to help them out. She wants a new living room suite but not just any living room suite either. She wants an Oasis sofa made in Belgium. I have to admit it is beautiful and 100% original, guaranteed. Then she started looking at entertainment centers. She wanted something unique and that’s what she found. It’s called LC-Bandarole 1 made in Italy. I have to admit that I loved it too.
Then she was off to the bedroom. She said she could take her old one and put it in the guest room but she wanted a new bedroom suite for their bedroom. Something modern and classy. She fell in love with the Ben Comp 6 from Spain. I loved it too. It’s gorgeous!! One things for sure, if you want high quality modern furniture, this is the place to start. They also offer financing.
If you don’t find something you absolutely love, it will shock me. Oh and get this, all of this furniture comes from a store in New York too.

Friend moving to Wilmington, NC
I have a friend that is moving to Wilmington, North Carolina. She has some family down there and knew to call Wilmington NC Real Estate to help her find a home there. She was totally surprised to find out that Prudential Real Estate and Laney Real Estate in Wilmington NC becoming Prudential Laney Real Estate. It was a great surprise because there are even more houses that she will be shown through just the one real estate office. Good move!!! Wrightsville Beach Real Estate was another one she was going to check out to try and find a home too. Wrightsville Beach is a great beach that’s close to Wilmington where her new job is located.

Now I know where they got Moms outfit
Remember I told you that my sister got Mom the cutest outfit for Mothers Day? Well I now know where she got it from. She ordered it from an online store that has plus size clothing. I finally got it out of my sister because I’m not a real big girl but it’s hard for me to find tops that fit me like I want. I wanted to check out what they had since Moms outfit was so darn cute. Talk about surprised, well I was blown away at some of the great clothes they have on that site.
I found so many tops that I absolutely love that I think I’ll end up maxing out my credit card, which I never do. I never charge more than I can pay off in a month or two at the most. They have a tab called ‘Sale Rack’ that has some really great prices on. In fact, there were three tops on there that I absolutely love. The clothes are not frumpy like a lot of plus size clothes tend to be either. They have some very stylish clothes that you can wear to work or anywhere as far as that goes.
