At Thanksgiving my oldest nephew who lives across country, told us that he was moving back to our state, and was looking into auto shipping for his “Baby” which is a 1955 Corvette. He told us that since he doesn’t trust anyone to drive it, and he has his every day car to bring home also, that he was considering having the Corvette shipped to his new home here in our state. I thought that it was a bit much, why not just put it on a trailer and haul it, right? Well, apparently what he is looking into is safer, actually less expensive than a trailer and all of the details that go with it, and he could trust that his car would get to him safely.
He even said that the company he was considering had car reviews for anyone who might want to buy a car or truck from out of state, or just about anywhere for that matter, and have it shipped to them. I guess sometimes a person can find exactly what they are looking for in the reviews that are less expensive than shopping for a vehicle here, and then it can be shipped to them. This is something I didn’t know.
I’m really happy about my nephew moving close to home, and it sounds like he’s done his so called homework on how to get his precious car home to him, without having another detail to fret about. Who knows? If I sweet talk him a lot, and bribe him once his “Baby” gets here…he might let me take her for a spin!
