Baby Shower

I have a baby shower to go to later on this afternoon. I already bought a couple of small things, but still need to purchase a couple more. I have the stroller baby priced, but I am not sure if I should buy it as our friend Kim said she was going to. I did order the purple and brown baby bedding for the crib that she and her husband already bought. She was very specific about what she wanted and we all wanted to make sure that she got it. That isn’t too difficult.

I also bought as a surprise, some green and purple toddler bedding. That way when the child is ready for the crib to convert to a toddler bed, he/she will have a new set of bedding. They are all the same size anyway, so she can use them before hand as well as later. I know she will be happy with it as she was admiring it when we were out shopping.

Quiet Sunday morning

I love Sunday mornings. All quiet and little to no traffic. I can hear the birds chirping and you can tell that spring is officially here.

I went for a mile long hike down a nature trail yesterday. I think I might go back today and do two miles. I need to get more exercise anyway. I am trying to lose those pounds I put on over the winter, so I can go buy a new bathing suit.

Personal training

My brother-in-law has been a personal trainer for seven years. He started doing it when he was in college to make a little extra money. After he graduated from college, he was unable to find a job that would use his degree in psychology, so he decided to continue training his clients. He tried to make it into a full-time job, but because of the economy, many of his clients had to give up their personal training sessions for financial reasons. He had trouble finding more clients, so he decided to focus his time on opening a personal training studio. He opened the studio with a few of his friends who are also personal trainers. With their combined clientele, they have pretty good business. They found out that they could get a decent price on phone and internet for their studio with T1 new york, so that was one less thing they had to worry about. I have referred a few friends to them and they are seeing pretty fast results. I am also thinking about starting to train there soon.

Out to dinner

I think I will go out to dinner tonight. I am in the mood for some seafood and that is a craving that I cannot ignore. I love seafood. Shrimp, crabs, lobster, and fish are just so yummy. There is a nice little place down on the river that has a lovely out door deck you can dine on. Since the weather is so good, I have decided that is exactly what I will do. I have already called ahead and made a reservation, because I know I will not be the only one with such an idea. Have a great evening people. I know I will.

New Decor

There has been a lot of changes at work lately. The most obvious one is the new decor being administered to the entire building. It has been a bit distracting with the workmen everywhere, but most of the work has been done at night. I walked into the building and the foyer has been finished finally. It is complete with bronze plaques on several walls. One of the Impact Signs bronze plaques denotes the founder of our company and our company moto on it. It is very beautiful to look at.

There are Impact Signs next to the elevators as well, to let you know which floor holds which department. I really like what they have done with the building. It looks so much nicer and much more professional than it did before. We have been in the same building practically since the company was founded, so it had very old decor. Our founder would be very happy if he could see it now, and even more so if he knew how far we have progressed as a company.

Completely jazzed

I just received my passport. It takes quite some time for a passport to be made. Not as long as it used to but it is still a lengthy process non the less. It used to take six weeks or more to get one. Now it is down to about three. Well, at least that is how long it took to get mine. Perhaps it is because I have a business trip coming up soon and my company helped put in the paperwork. I am not sure, but I am happy to have it.

International job

Well, I have an exiting new account at work, that is going to let me not only travel, but delve into another culture. We are doing a consulting job for a company in Romania. I am so looking forward to the time I will get to spend on this account. My boss has already promised that when he goes to Romania, I will be able to accompany him. I have to procure the services of a translation agency for the documentation as it will be in our best interest and let the client know that we really care about their business.

The translation service will take all of our documentation to and from this client so that there is no confusion what so ever. I especially arranged this because while the client speaks a lot of English himself, we would like to make them feel more comfortable. Using a translation company has worked very well for us in the past, so we are quite content with the process. I will over see all of the documentation myself to make sure that it is one hundred percent correct. I am sure it will be though. This is an amazing opportunity for me.

Spring break

Well it’s spring break and I am going to spend some time with my niece and nephews. I try to take them every so often to give my sister a break and to spoil them rotten. I am going to take them to see a movie or two and keep them for the whole weekend. I might even take them bowling, because I know they just loved that last time we went. Of course we have to hit up Chucky Cheese as well. That is kind of standard issue with them. Time to get the house ready.

Shopping for pool supplies

So, despite of the fact I have a great cabin at the lake, I’ve decided it would be great to have a semi large pool in my back yard also. Buying pool supplies for me in the past was always one heck of a hassle and very expensive through out the summer though. I have to admit, I did have my reservations. When I did have my pool a few years ago, it was awesome to get off work, and then grab a book and my raft, along with a nice cool drink, then float around reading, sipping and relaxing. I can the feeling is still with me, hence the desire to have another pool, even though I’m concerned about the price of the up keep on it.

While looking at pool accessories, it nearly made me change my mind, until a friend of mine recommend this great online place, called Doheny’s Water Warehouse. I’m totally astonished at the great prices and their line of anything that a pool needs or could ever need for upkeep and also for fun! I saw this pool side water slide that my nephews would have such a great time on. Heck, so would I!!

Pool chemicals were so expensive at the pool supply shop that is near me, and half the time they didn’t have what I needed. It was always a iffy situation having them order what I needed for me also. 8 out of 10 times, it wasn’t what my pool was in need of. Once again that is why I was so hesitant about getting another pool. Now however, bring on the pool and summer fun!!

Before You Click That Camera

This was on Facebook and is so funny but also so true. I cannot tell you how many of these poses I have seen all over Facebook. It seems to be a problem with teenagers and very immature 20-somethings. Thankfully, many people do grow up after they hit 30 years old. So, before you click that camera, make sure you are not posing like the losers in this poster. Seriously.
