I tried a new recipe last night that was just amazing. There are these new packages of spices, that you mix with a little olive oil and then dredge either potatoes or chicken, etc in them. Then you bake them in the oven and they are awesome. Last night I used some on boneless chicken breasts that my friends absolutely loved. I am definitely going to use these again, as well as try the other flavors too.
Breakfast
I am starving. I think I will make myself a big breakfast this morning. I have some hashbrowns, eggs and sausage that are calling my name. I think some juice to go with it, will be just the thing. Most days I just have coffee and skip breakfast. I know that is not exactly the best thing to do, but usually I can’t seem to bring myself to eat this early. I wan to change that. After all, they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Family and friends
I have been a bit of a loner lately. I haven’t been talking to my family and friends like I usually do and I am surprise they haven’t said anything about it. I guess all the trouble I have had lately just sent me inside of myself a bit and I didn’t want to burden them with my troubles. I know that everyone is having a rough time right now. The economy is really bad right now.
I have never seen things stay this bad for so long and it has me worried. I know that I am not alone in that, and I hope that with the oncoming new year things will get better all around. I am sure that they will. Hard work and determination will take you as far as you want to go.
Christmas
I know no one wants to think about Christmas yet, but I like to start early. That way I have most of it done and only have to pick up a few last minute items. I have been doing a lot more browsing and window shopping so I have a good idea of what I want to buy. I am sure that I will be able to get some of it online as well.
My son wants a little RC Helicopter. I know that they sell them in the mall at a little kiosk, but I did check at Wally world as well and Wally’s was more expensive, believe it or not. I was rather surprised at that. Doesn’t really matter as long as it is a good one and not a cheap version. I don’t want it to break by the end of Christmas day. It has to last a while. Ah well, I will figure out what to do. Have a great day people.
It’s a Cupid morning
It’s a Cupid Shuffle kind of morning. I needed something to get me going this morning, so I put on the video and do a little dance. It gets the blood pumping and gives me a silly grin. Now I am ready to start the day and get everything done that needs to be.
End of summer sales
I really love the end of summer sales. Not just back to school, but the basic end of season sales. Everything they have been pushing all summer long goes on deep discount and I can stock up for next summer without worrying about what I will need. I just store it in the garage in the summer container and voila! I have everything I possibly need. How is that for planning ahead? Doing my little happy dance now.
I have never really understood the whole twitter thing. You can’t post much on there. You can only put a few lines of dialog, so what is the point. Other than to create drama and such, it seems to be kind of stupid. Don’t get me wrong. I have a Twitter account like everyone else, but I barely use it at all. I think most of my tweets are from being linked with other social websites that I am on.
Oh well, it doesn’t really matter. I will use the account as needed or not. Who knows, maybe I can find a way to make money with it. That would be neat. I am sure there has got to be a way to do that. I will go research it now and see what I can find. TTFN
DIY
I used the diy sweepstakes for a little bit of fun and trying to win some stuff for remodeling my house. You all know how much a love to remodel. I swear I just can’t keep my house in one design or motif. My mom says I have a remodeling OCD bug. She is probably right. I just laugh when she says that. The diy sweepstakes was fun to play. I like to play games online, but they are usually MMO’s and not other kinds.
I sent a link for diy sweepstakes to my mom to see if she likes it too. She hasn’t answered my email yet, but I know that she has been busy today with doctors appointments. I hope all of the doctors appointments go well for her. The older you get the more you seem to fall apart. I take good care of myself because of it.
Started a new book
This week, I’m reading a new book I got at a used book store, so I guess it’s one of those “new to me” books, actually. It’s titled Sizzle and Burn, and the author is Jayne Ann Krentz. It’s great to pick up something at the used book store for only 50 cents and have something new to read. Even if I don’t like the book I don’t have all that much money invested in it and I can trade it back in for another one.
From the jacket cover and the information about the author, apparently she writes under other names also. Amanda Quick and Jayne Castle. She has written more than 50 New York Times bestsellers, everything from contemporary romantic suspense novels to futuristic and historical romance novels.
I’m not much into romance novels, but so far even though I’m only on page 106, this book is indeed a page turner. I’ll save the recommendation if I have one, until I finish, but for now…this seems to be well written and also very interesting.
Wet coffee grounds
First thing in the morning is coffee. I’m totally dependent on coffee to wake up and get myself in gear.
This morning I woke up early as usual, but wasn’t quite “with it” when I went into the kitchen to make my morning cup of coffee. I had forgotten to empty the coffee filter since I was in a hurry yesterday, and when I grabbed the basket out of the coffee maker, coffee grounds flew all over my kitchen. What a mess. If anyone has ever tried to clean up wet coffee grounds, they will tell you that it’s super hard to do. I should have just let them dry and swept them up.
Never again will I ever forget to empty the coffee filter basket before going to bed for the night.
