Good Customer Service at Lipton Tea

I’ve been drinking tea for as long as I can remember, hot or cold, day or night, but it has to be Lipton or nothing. I did switch to Red Rose Tea for a while because my mother was collecting the little Wade figurines that they always have in the box along with the tea bags, but after a while I just got really tired of not having the full flavor of my good old Lipton bags.

Last time I did my grocery shopping I was pleased to find that they had Lipton tea bags on sale so I picked up several boxes, and I saved a good chunk of change in doing so. But when I came home and opened one of the boxes and put several of them in the boiling water, in order to make a picture of Iced tea, the bags more or less exploded, and made quite a mess of it all. So I tried again, and the same thing happened, that is when I looked on the side of the box and found the 1-800 number for their customer service department and gave them a call.

I have to say that they were very understanding and polite, I received a warm, sincere apology and was sent several coupons in the mail the next week for several free boxes of Lipton Tea Bags. Now that is what I call good customer service. Thanks Lipton!

Feeling Unappreciated?

I’ve heard of some pretty wild and wacky things but this is really different and I might point out, very sad.

unappreciated

This is the type of story that should have been read on The Tonight Show when Jay Leno was the host with all of his other crazy newspaper tidbits! He used to get some pretty outrageous things that have been put into print!

California Fires

The fires that are once again taking place in California are devastating to all concerned. California is so broke that they are having a difficult time providing for their citizens much less being able to afford fighting these horrible fires. I feel for the fire fighters that must be suffering terribly with the hot temperatures in California and with the heat of the fires on top of it must be hell.

Every year this happens and every year I wonder when the fires won’t have anything left to burn. It must be a scary place to live and work.

Web Hosting Issues

My brother has been urging me to switch my web hosting to Web Hosting Hub. He says that they offer reliable web hosting and that he has been happy with them for some time now.

My brother is a total computer whiz and I’m grateful for all that he has done for me over the years with my various computer issues and needs. He hasn’t steered me wrong yet, so I guess I’ll consider switching over. I don’t think that making a major decision or move right now would be in my best interest, but after the hot and humid days and nights are over and done with I’ll be back on track with most things and I think it would be the best time to make a change such as this.

I’m hoping that I’ll be getting a new laptop for my birthday, that would be awesome. My mother has been picking my brain for a few weeks now trying to find out what the perfect gift would be for her to give me on that morning and I’ve told her time and time again that I have everything that I need other than a new laptop. I don’t want to get my hopes up but it really would be a great if she did do that for me.

Dirty Water

I can’t stand the way that my water looks, smells and tastes. After I take my daily bath and let the water run out and drain there is a lot of black grainy junk left in the tub. Looks like I’m going to need to contact a water service company. I’ve been needing to find a replacement for my Water Heater Indianapolis, that might help with some of the problems as well.

Funny how sometimes when I think of dirty water, the song Dirty Water, by The Standells, starts playing in my head. I think this song was a hit in the mid 1960s. My mother is always listening to the Oldies radio station (it plays music from the 50′ and the 60’s,) so I have been exposed to a lot of different types of music throughout the years.

My father was totally into Country Music, I was never a big fan of it but always enjoyed being around my Dad so I kinda got used to it but it’s not real high up on my list of favorite music.

Personally I like a lot of the music from the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s. I was that I had been around when Disco dancing was all the rage. I know a lot of people hate on Disco, but to me it always provides me with a good consistent beat!

Mom’s Advice for Me

My mom told me about bank card processing when I was first opening my wedding gallery and it was good advice. I wasn’t sure how to go about all the logistical elements of having a wedding dress store but I knew I needed to figure it out – I had a ton of dresses and a great place to display them but no real method for running a business.

My brides come to me now because they know they’re going to get the best care and attention on their biggest purchase – that’s what I provide. I’m also a bit cheaper than some of the girls in the area and though I think it’s great that they can sell those couture dresses I always want there to be an affordable option. I don’t understand how some people can afford to spend five thousand dollars on one dress but God bless them. You won’t find them here in my store, though, that’s not how I work! I’m all about a great dress for a great price.

Fund Me Please

Using Gift Certificates as gifts has become a life saver for me. There are so many people that I am obligated to purchase gifts for all throughout the year, not just at Christmas time that it becomes a real challenge to find the perfect gift while not spending an arm and a leg.

A good amount of these people are musical so Musician’s Friend has a go fund me way to purchase Gift Certificates online, with no shipping, no expiration date and can be purchased at any denomination that you please, I have used them before in the past and they seem to go over well so I do believe that I will continue doing so.

An Orthopedic Surgeon’s Bike

How would you like to see this coming at you in the rear view mirror? What an awesome piece of work this guy has to show for all of his hard work. I just wonder how it rides. Looks like it might be a long stretch to the handle bars unless the owner has some pretty long arms.

Girls Wallet

My favorite niece will be turning 9 years old next month and I have decided to look around and see what types of girls wallets there are out there that I think she may like to receive as a present. This past year she has started to receive an allowance so I’m thinking that it would be appropriate for her to have a wallet to start keeping it in instead of her piggy bank that she has been putting her money in since she was just a tiny little thing.

It is my thinking that she will be old enough to keep her money in a wallet so that when she goes out shopping she can bring her own wallet, instead of asking her mom or anyone else that may be taking her shopping, to keep it for her. And since she usually receives a good amount of cash for her birthday and then not long after that we will be getting ready with Christmas so that her having a wallet will be right on time. I remember getting my first wallet and how it made me feel to feel more in charge of my own money, too bad I don’t feel more in charge of my money these days!  LOL

All Of Our Remote Controls

I just saw a commercial advertising The Clapper, I have not seen a commercial for this item in so long that I thought that they were no longer available. Not only are still available but they have come out with The Clapper Plus, which gives you a remote control!

As much fun as been poked at this popular invention, I have to tell you that I wouldn’t mind owning one, it would be so much easier than flicking the switch in my bedroom and I wouldn’t have to get up or walk in the darkness at times.

We have all become so used to having things done for us and as quickly as possible “thank you very much” Some people actually have a box that has all of the remote control equipment that is needed for all of their electronics that we have become so accustomed to. I am so glad that I only have a few and know how to actually use them.
