Oceanfront Fun in Myrtle Beach

I should be getting my W-2 in the mail any day now. I can’t wait to file my taxes this year. I’m expecting to get a good sized tax refund this year. I donated a whole heck of a lot of stuff to the Good Will and got all the receipts I need to use as write offs. I had a good amount of medical expenses as well that I kept track off which will help a lot as well.

The idea of finding a nice Myrtle Beach Hotel to rent along with a few close friends is getting more tempting as time rolls on. I’ve been spending some time here and there looking at Myrtle Beach Accommodations online and has really got me excited about the prospect of spending a week at the beach some time in August. The water should be warmed up nicely by that time, which is a big to do for me. I love the water but cold water is a real turn off. Myrtle Beach isn’t really known for having the warmest water temperature, but I’m hoping and praying that it will be warm enough for me to enjoy at that point.

I’ve been looking at a nice Myrtle Beach Accommodation, The Horizon Resort at 77th. It is located right smack dab in the middle of Myrtle Beach and sounds delightful! The beach is only a few foot steps away from the door and is promising to be a Oceanfront Resort that has something for everyone in our group.

Snow

I just came home and the sky is most definately looking like snow. We are expecting 2 -4 inches over night. It will be interesting to see if the schools close down or not. Hope the roads aren’t too bad. I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow that I would hate to have to reschedule, it was a pain to get the appointment to begin with. I won’t mind the snow though, if it is going to be this cold we might as well have some snow to go with it.

Fun In The Sun Come Summer

I would really enjoy being able to take a week off, or even just a long 3 or 4 day weekend and hit the beach this summer. I’ve been wanting to find a good deal at one of the nicer Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotels that I’ve heard so much about. I figure if my tax refund is decent and I can get a few friends together then I just might be able to swing it. I love the beach and everything that goes along with it. The sun, the water, the board-walk, the food, and the night life, it’s all good and it’s been too long since I’ve been able to enjoy something of that nature.

The Internet will certainly help me find the right Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotel, one that is priced for what I can afford and be easily accessible to the beach. I’ve heard good things about the SeaSide, which is located in the North part of Myrtle Beach, so I’m going to start my search there. It shouldn’t be too hard to find a good quality Myrtle Beach Hotel if I start early enough. So I guess after Christmas is all over and done with I’ll have some time to start looking around to see what types of deals I can come up with!

Today’s Military

My friend who has a son in the military once in a while sends me photos of our troops over in the Middle East. It’s good to know that they can keep a sense of humor while living in hellish conditions.

A New Harley D

My best friend just called me and told me that she just came back from her local Harley Davidson store with a brand new Super Glide! That really caught me by surprise, but I couldn’t be happier for her. Once she gets a few hundred miles under her you’ll be seeing me on the back, just a grinning.

Change Can Be Good

Seems that my aunt has changed her mind on where she wants to settle, instead of Lexington S.C. she is now considering the Greenville area of S.C. instead. She has found a website that allows you to view 19 channels of high definition, full screen videos that bring into the focus of what the community of Greenville has to offer. It’s appears that it is a vibrant community that has a lot to offer some one just like my aunt.

A man, Edwin McCain, who grew up, moved away and then returned to Greenville appears on one of the videos that I watched. He has made it his mission to promote his hometown, which I think is pretty darn cool. He is an alternative rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist who performs all across the U.S. of A. but still performs in Greenville and just released his first major label recording. You can actually see him perform on the video.

I’m sure my aunt will find the perfect place for her to settle into and enjoy her “golden years.” Any place would welcome this lady into their community. She is a first class lady, with a great sense of humor for an old broad!

Change

A good friend of mine lives in N.C. and sent me this photo. They are not happy with what President Obama is busy doing in Washington D.C.

Wally World Issues

I can tell you that there are oh so many reasons that I hate to go to Wal Mart, parking is one of them and right now with all of the 4th of July holiday shoppers out and about, the place is really a nightmare. The crowds are overwhelming, the sales clerk are very grumpy and the whole store looks like it hurricane hit it, what a disaster area that place was last night.

To top it all off, it starting raining as soon as we left the house and continued through out the entire evening and well into the night, walking a mile to the parked car, loaded with 2 carts full of food and other newly purchased products, in the rain was not my idea of a good time. Bad enough that we had to stand in line for over 25 minutes and the place was full of screaming unruly children that brought on a total migraine experience! Give me a break!

A Good and Proud Redneck

DWI – DONE TEXAS STYLE
Only a person in Texas could think of this.

From the county where drunk driving is considered a sport, comes this true story. Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a bar in Austin , Texas . After last call, the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so apparently intoxicated that he could barely walk.

The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing. After what seemed an eternity in which he tried his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car and fall into it.

He sat there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off.

Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off–it was a fine, dry summer night–, flicked the blinkers on and off a couple of times, honked the horn and t hen switched on the lights.

He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patrons’ vehicles left.

At last, when his was the only car left in the parking lot, he pulled out and drove slowly down the road.

The police officer, having waited patiently all this time, now started up his patrol car, put on the flashing lights, promptly pulled the man over and administered a breathalyzer test.

To his amazement, the breathalyzer indicated no evidence that the man had consumed any alcohol at all!

Dumbfounded, the officer said, “I’ll have to ask you to accompany me to the police station.”

This breathalyzer equipment must be broken.’

‘I doubt it,’ said the truly proud Redneck. ‘Tonight I’m the designated decoy.’

Today’s GPS

It’s cool how GPS tracking is being used more and more this days and has become very easily accessible through websites such as Live View GPS has, which is where I have found a tremendous amount of information about this up and coming fascinating technology. Whether is be for business or for your own personal use, it has now become more affordable to protect and monitor anything that you deem necessary to. In fact their live vehicle tracking, positions and is updated every ten seconds, that can be viewed by any computer hooked up with the Internet anywhere. That certainly could and would come in handy for so many needs that I can think of. It is an interesting read and worth the time to check out, if you will.
