Empty Savings Accounts

Things (the economy) just are not turning around fast enough for most people. People’s savings accounts are being depleted quickly, more houses are being foreclosed on and the unemployment rate is still on the rise. I’m hearing way too many horror stories from so many people. This is going to be another rough holiday season for most of us. I know I’m not looking forward to it. I’m going to have to drastically down size my gift list, which I hope people will be understanding about. The family has even talked about doing away with our traditional gift giving this year. What a bummer.

My sister hasn’t been able to find a job in over six months and her unemployment is going to run out in the next few weeks. I don’t know what she is going to. She has been talking about getting one of those quick cash loans online, but is concerned with her bad credit history and all that goes along with that. I know that there are ways to rais? your credit score, so I advised her to use the Internet to see if she can find a reliable company that will help her out in her time of financial need.

My Little Brother

I’ve never had an issue coming up with ways on how to flirt, but I know that a lot of folks are very shy and insecure so they need a little help with some dating advice and tips when it comes to the other sex. I’ve found a pretty cool website Puaforums dot com that has a lot of good information about the dating scene, along with a ton of wonderful pick up lines that people have submitted for others to use in their endeavor to attract a mate.

My little brother has always been one heck of a pickup artist, how I’ll never know. To me he is still the spoiled little brat that I grew up with, but the ladies just seem to flock to him. I’ve seen him in action and it’s amazing! He is still single and loving the bachelor life even though he is almost 30 years old. But if that is what floats his boat, I say more power to you little brother! I’ve forwarded this entertaining and enlightening website to him in last night’s email to him, I don’t think he needs any help, but what the heck.

My Kid Brother, The Family Computer Geek Strikes Again!

Even though I spend a good amount on the computer, both at home and at work, I always find myself amazed at all that their is to learn about them and how little I actually know about them. Thank goodness for my kid brother. He is the family computer geek and keeps us all up and running and is always teaching us (or trying to) the different things that he has learned. It just comes natural for him and I can’t say enough good things about all he does for us all.

Virtual Servers are something that I just didn’t know anything about, until he came by the place over the week end. I fed him a nice dinner, we sat and chatted for a few hours and had a few cold beers together. It was the first time that he didn’t spend any time on my laptop doing something for me, so it was good just to be able to sit and talk with him for a change. Usually he is so busy on the computer, concentrating on what he is doing, so I just leave him alone so as not to distract him, so he can get it done and get down the road to his next stop.

He had just come from a friends house that was needing a virtual server, so he was telling me how at Ozhosting dot com they are running a special promotion using the PROMO CODE “VPS25” which provides 25% off All VPS Plans and how they were checking out all that they had to offer by ways of virtual servers. So I got a crash course and he got a 2 course dinner and we both came out of the deal better off than before he came over.

Entertaining The Customers

I see that more businesses are getting smart and hooking up with a DIRECT TV Business Account and having a nice television installed for their customers entertainment needs. I think that Commercial Satellite TV is a really good idea, I know that I get tired of looking through the numerous old and torn up magazines that are the norm in most waiting areas such as the doctor’s office, banks, car repair shops and the like. Sometimes you can be stuck there for a good amount of time and having a Business Satellite TV makes the wait a lot more tolerable.

The only problem that I can see is if there is a disagreement with the other people waiting and watching on which channel the TV should be set on and that a lot of businesses are keeping the remote control behind the counter in order to keep from losing it to some one’s sticky fingers. I know one time a was waiting for my car to be inspected and the TV was on a channel that had golf playing on it. Ugh, how I hate watching a golf game on TV, boring…………but then I guess you just can’t please everyone!

Wood Vionlins Wood Wah

Call me old fashioned, but I swear I didn’t know there was such a thing as electric violin, much less all the exciting wood-violins effects that I was checking out online earlier today to use as a birthday gift for a party that is coming up soon. So many new things that I keep discovering, makes me wonder what rock I have been hiding under. Good Grief!

Help For Our Elderly Relatives

Each year my brothers and sisters put our heads together to try and find a way to help out our Aunt Jenny and Uncle Dave, who are both now in their 80’s and they both have several health issues to deal with while living on small monthly fixed income. We used to just send them food and/or gift cards for Christmas, but as the years pass we feel the need to do more than that when we all can afford and can agree on something.

You see Aunt Jenny and Uncle Dave are two of the sweetest people that you would ever have the chance to meet and to get to know. Thank goodness they have been active in their church, so they do receive some assistance from the church from time to time, but we all know how humble they are and how bad it makes them feel to receive any help from anyone. There is a special place in heaven for these too special, well seasoned relatives, but we are in no hurry to see them go.

I came up with an idea that I shared with my siblings lately. I took the time to look at various Home Cleaning Companies in Fort Lauderdale and I think I found the perfect one that we can afford to pay for to come out and help Aunt Jenny with all of their house cleaning needs. In the mean time I would like to find a company that will come out and help Uncle Dave with some of the chores that are always needed outside of the house and the yard. Just the thought of him trying climb and balance on a ladder to check and clean the gutters leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth. And of course there are tons of other outside chores that he just isn’t capable of doing anymore either. Maybe I can get my younger brother to help out in finding a good and affordable company to come out before the cold weather hits us.

The Emergence of Green Web Hosting

I am all about going and being as “green” as possible these days. It isn’t really difficult considering that I was raised by parents that were tuned in to saving valuable energy and totally into recycling since they were young. They were from the hippie days and they taught me a lot during my childhood in order for me to continue their efforts and ways of life that they and I are so proud of.

I’m happy to have found that there are many opportunities out there for us to help us all go “green“, including ways to get the  best web hosting sites that are supporting the “green” movement. At Web Hosting Geeks.com they have provided us with the top 8 web hosting companies that are Eco-friendly. These sites are using alternative and/or renewable energy, they are planting trees, recycling waste and purchase RECs in order to power their data centers and I think that this is simply awesome! I would anyone to check this list out at web hosting geeks dot com and find a green web hosting that would work for them to help contribute to this important movement.

For more information you can check out their blog as well that has several posts concerning Green Web Hosting, it’s all good!

AMS Fulfillment

The Internet has become such a valuable tool to learn just about everything about anything. Kids these days have it made when it comes to doing research for school homework and all the assignments that they are told to do. Back when I was a kid we had to rely on the old set of encyclopedias that are parents had on the bookshelf in the living room. And of course we spent many evenings and weekends at the local library that was always full of other students doing the exact same thing. I can’t even imagine how it would have been if we had the World Wide Web back then.

Today I was looking at an interesting website at http://www.amsfulfillment.com. AMS, so I learned, is one of the leading third party fulfillment service company that has a lot to offer today’s fast past companies that need a reliable product fulfillment service. They are located in the southern part of California, which is a very busy and rapidly growing part of the country that can totally provide services like this for businesses all over the country.

I wonder what company I will found out about tomorrow online! I can’t wait to go back to college and learn so many things that I didn’t take the time to learn back in the day when I was just interested in boys and how to get out of going to class to go have fun with all of my friends.

One Fine Looking Piece of Technology

Now you can’t even tell me that this isn’t one fine looking electric guitar! I have to admit, if I ever decided to buy and learn the guitar I would really love playing one that looks like this! The Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin that I stumbled onto today online. This baby has got the true vintage spirit of yesteryear, while having the goods that today’s technically provides folks in the music industry.

ShopWiki A Unique Comparison Engine

I am not one of the crazy people that venture out on Black Friday, as many of my friends, co workers and family members are known for doing. I tried it once about 10 years ago and I swore that I’d never do that again. And that was before the headlines were always full of horror stories of fights and stampedes that have taken place in recent years due to ever growing amount of people that are attending these fiasco’s now a days.

I see no reason to deal with such nonsense when I can easily get what ever I need at home on my computer. With so many buying guides to help shoppers and so many shopping comparison engines available to everyone all across the globe it is so easy to find what you need using the good old Internet. ShopWiki is expanding their services into Europe and I find it interesting at times to check out what is available in other countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, Germany and France. But my favorites are the ones that are English speaking such as the UK and Australia, a much easier read, not having to use one of the many Google translating services, which are pretty cool and do come in handy from time to time.
