Trick or Treaters, I’ll Be Ready for Them

This year I’m going to play it smart a buy Bulk Candy to use for the trick and treaters that will be knocking at my door this Halloween. It is only a month away so I have time to find the best bargain that I can find, using the Internet of course. I am going to find the type of candy that I like to hand out so that all the left overs won’t go to waste, like the clark bar. Of course I can always take a good amount to work to share with the ladies there to snack on, but it would be nice if I could enjoy them as well. I like candy, but not all types.

I’ve received a few Candy Baskets before as gifts, throughout the years, and have only eaten some of the candy and the rest just goes to waste, which isn’t cool. It’s a good thing that most candy has a pretty long shelve life and keeps for a pretty long time. Nothing worse than biting into something that is stale and nasty!

We usually get a good amount of trick or treaters in this neighborhood, but you never know how much to buy, so it is a guessing game. And if the weather is bad and the kids don’t come out you can be stuck with a ton of icky candy to try and eat and get rid of, sigh…..

Yogurt

I do enjoy eating as healthy as possible. One of my favorite snacks is yogurt, but it has to be Yoplait. I can eat the other brands but I don’t enjoy them as much as Yoplait. They have been coming out with some great new flavors, but my all time favorite still is banana/strawberry.

I’ll Try Anything Once, Twice if I Like It

The gals that I work worth and I have become such good friends over the years. We have so much fun at work, sharing stories, food, pictures, clothes, recipes, CDs, DVDs, germs, books, computers, etc…… We have quite a diverse group, one that is kept in one room all day, so we know each other fairly well at this point.

Jay Leno For A Good Laugh at 10:00pm

I am anxious to see how Jay Leno fairs in his new 10:00pm time slot that is scheduled to start next Monday evening, September 14th. We really need a good light hearted show at 10:00pm, I think that it will be a much needed success. Conan O’Brien just really bites, he just doesn’t measure up in my book.

Save The Date Cards for The Big Wedding

One of the girls at work has just recently became engaged and isn’t wasting any time in the planning of the big event. Folks don’t waste much time these day with their engagements, the wedding is being planned for October 30th, the day before Halloween. The office is all the buzz with all that it entails with the planning of a semi-formal wedding. So much to do, so little time, as the old saying goes.

We’ve been spending some of our down time utilizing the Internet to our best advantage. Technology has come a long way and has been instrumental in the planning of such life changing events. The new and popular save the date cards are what we are currently checking into. 123print.com has a lot to offer and has been a valuable tool for a good part of the planning so far.

America’s Got Talent

One of the shows that I try and watch each week is America’s Got Talent. I understand that Britain’s Got Talent is excellent as well, too bad that I can’t watch their version as well. But thank goodness for YouTube because I can see a good amount of their talent there on occasion.

My Love Affair With Shoes and Clothing

I have a love affair with shoes and clothes. It used to drive my father right out of his mind when my mom and I would go out shopping (with his credit card of course) and come back with bags of new clothes. He would always rant and rave and insist that we put a stop to the madness, but he never took the credit card away from her. We would try and clean out our closets each spring and take a trip to the Good Will to donate what we didn’t want or need anymore. But I can honestly say that more came in the house than what would come in with us.

These days I do most of my shopping online. That is where the deals are, for the most part anyway. Since I’m a plus size woman I can find more of my sizes online rather than bouncing from one store to another looking for fashions in my size. One of my favorite online merchants offers free  Women’s Clothing Catalogues just by registering for one at their site of Simplybe.co.uk, so I always look forward to receiving their catalogue to browse through and share with some of my plus size friends.

I love their fashions and their accessories. They have just about everything that I need when I need it and would urge anyone interested in women’s plus size clothing to give them a look see for them self. I’m sure you’ll find something to get excited about there.

Keeping Up With The Times

It is amazing how the Internet has so drastically changed the way we all are conducting our business. It is so very important to keep up with the times and having the best website design possible makes all difference in the world to the numerous online merchants and businesses. There is so much to offer in ways of website design these days that it really does pay to have the job well and the job done right from the start.

I know that I have been doing most of my research and purchasing most of what I need online and if the website isn’t up to par and user friendly, I go somewhere else. It’s amazing how some of the sites that I have run across don’t even post what type of payments they accept. Like if they accept Pay Pal, Visa, Master Card, Discovery, etc. I don’t like having to dig around in order to find something out that should be on the home page to begin with. And if they offer free shipping that should be stated up front as well. It only makes sense to me to let your prospective customers see information like so that they know right from the start if your terms are appropriate for them or not.

Spam

I’m so tired of receiving so many comments that turn out to be Spam! Each time I log in here I get excited at the prospect of seeing many comments, then to find out that they are always some spammer trying to get links to their sites that 9 times out of 10 are about sex and drugs! Arg……

Immigration Issues

I know that I poke fun at our immigration issues from time to time, but I do know what a major concern this “hot topic” is to so many people. This is an important topic that is growing and growing, not just in the great state of California, but all over the United States as well.

President Obama has his hands full with so many issues to sort out and deal with. I can only pray that during his 4 years in office that he can get a handle on many of the problems that we are finding ourselves faced with these days. In the mean time it’s good to know that there are people out there that are dealing with immigration and trying to help each and every day. I was reading an interesting news article about a particular denver immigration lawyer who has been a full service immigration law firm for over ten years and I thought I might post it here for all to read.
