Today’s GPS

It’s cool how GPS tracking is being used more and more this days and has become very easily accessible through websites such as Live View GPS has, which is where I have found a tremendous amount of information about this up and coming fascinating technology. Whether is be for business or for your own personal use, it has now become more affordable to protect and monitor anything that you deem necessary to. In fact their live vehicle tracking, positions and is updated every ten seconds, that can be viewed by any computer hooked up with the Internet anywhere. That certainly could and would come in handy for so many needs that I can think of. It is an interesting read and worth the time to check out, if you will.

8th and Finale Season on Scrubs

I have always loved the show Scrubs. I’m saddened to find out that this is the last session that it will be produced and aired. I remember the first time I watched Scrubs, it was a bit hard to swallow, but I soon realized that it was a really funny show and I will miss it dearly. Thank goodness for re runs!

Craig Brings Out the Best

Sometimes when I have trouble falling asleep I put the TV in our bedroom on the channel that has the late night Craig Ferguson show. He is so funny and adorable at the same time. I love his Scottish accent and the way he pokes fun at himself, and he has a cast of hilarious characters – played by himself, of course.I’m surprised at how many big name stars agree to come on his show. He always has guests that are fun and lively and talkative. I get a feeling that they are relaxed and more like themselves as real people when they are on his show. Craig brings out the best in everyone

5 Somali pirates drown with ransom share

The latest on the tremendous amount of pirating that is taking place in the Gulf of Aden, is that 5 of the pirates drowned along with their share of the 3 million dollar ransom money that was paid. Piracy is one of the few ways to make money in Somalia, and this particular bundle of cash was delivered to the deck via a parachute.

This is an ongoing situation and one that we modern day pirates are keeping close eyes on, days have certainly changed on the high seas.

Jay Leno and John McCain

Last night I actually stayed up long enough to watch Jay Leno and his interview with Senator John McCain, which was surprisingly entertaining and certainly showed a much needed humorous side of the Republican’s choice of candidates, running for President. And none too soon, the election is only a few months away and Senator McCain has been receiving some pretty bad publicity as of late, and he needed a chance to redeem himself and Jay Leno gave him the opportunity to do just that last night.

Had to take back my mini 7″ Cloud

What a dissapointment my little 7″ Cloudbook by Everex has turned out to be. I ordered this little laptop on-line at Wal-mart, along with all the necessary accessories that were needed to go along with it. Had it shipped to the local store, in an effort to save $9 on the shipping cost, which took an agonizing two weeks to arrive.

I had to return it, details later, I’m still too irked to even think about the whole ordeal. But I can say that I am going to save up a few more hundred dollars and buy a real life sized laptop. With Labor Day right around the corner I should have enough saved to take advantage of some holiday specials on a decent laptop around the $500 range.

The coolest Dancing Around the World Video

I ran across a blog that I really enjoyed reading and actually took the time to make a comment one, which is a rarity for me, I generally don’t stop to take the time to register and get passwords and all that in order to leave a comment on most blogs that I read, but this time I just had to.

The site is http://www.bladam.com/ and he has a video that you just have to see if you haven’t already about “Where The Hell Is Matt”. I’m embarrassed to say that I tried and failed several times to place the link to video here on my site, and finally gave up and have just provided the link to the web-site of somebody much more sophisticated with all of this technology that I am just now beginning and struggling, at times, to learn.

So if you would like to see an awesome video that will most assuredly put a smile on your face, go ahead and check it out. In the mean time I am still going to attempt to link the video directly onto here, who knows what will happen.

Buying a new small 7″ laptop

I’ve been in the market for a new laptop and I have found one that I think will do the trick that I have ordered online from Wal-Mart today. It is an Everex 7″ CloudBook, a very portable laptop that I will be able to tuck in my back pack or hand bag and take practically every and anywhere that I go. I’ll be able to use it almost anywhere for personal and business usage, and even take it to class or the library for making notes. It only weighs a little over 2 pounds and I can’t wait to get an email telling me that it has arrived at the store and then I can go pick it up and get the initialization process over with and see how this baby drives!

I saved the shipping and handling charges that would have been $9, by having it sent to the store, instead of being delivered to my home address, I like that policy. I’ll let you know how this little laptop handles when I get it all figured out. I’m a bit nervous, I’m not the best when it comes to all these electronic gadgets and I’m sure I’ll be needing to call either one of my sisters or my brother for assistance, but I’ll give it a try and see what happens.
