Marching Bands

While looking online at various musical instrument sites, trying to find a good deal on an electric guitar to get for my nephew for Christmas I came across some exquisite Atkinson french horns that brought back a flood of memories from my days back in high school. One of our favorite things to do was to go to the Friday night football games, man those were some extraordinarily good times. The half time celebration was always a blast. I knew a lot of the kids that were in the marching band that always played during this exciting half time. To this day I get goose bumps whenever I see or hear a marching band play like in a parade, or on TV or in a movie, or even on YouTube!

I am still on the look out for a good guitar and with Christmas only a couple of weeks away I’m starting to get a bit nervous about the whole ordeal. It’s a good thing that I got a lot of my Christmas shopping done way ahead of time.

It’s Always Been All About Shoes

I love shoes, actually I love any type of foot wear, my favorites are boots and flip flops. I must have a dozen pairs of boots and several dozen pairs of flip flops that are taking up a lot of space in my walk in closet. My mother has always been frustrated with my need for new shoes and my father constantly was threatening to throw all of them out, back when I still lived at home, man that used to really irritate me to no end. I’m so glad that I don’t have to deal with all of that nonsense any more.

But I have decided that I need to down size, just a bit. So this weekend I am going to do a major clean up and clean out of my closet and take what I don’t need or want anymore to the local thrift store so that some one else may enjoy and use them as I have done. Just in time for another donation before the 2013 tax year ends.

Blank Music Sheets

Bless her heart. My niece Feori is asking me to order her some blank music sheets at musicians friend again. Her mother is really struggling with fiances right now. Being a single mother isn’t an easy job and I like to be able to help out when I am able to. If Feori needs something that her mom can’t get for her, it’s the least I can do for her. This girl is really talented when it comes to music. We aren’t quite sure where she came up with this type of talent. No close relatives on either side can dance, sing or play any type of instrument that I can figure out.

But I do know that she is a good kid going through a tough time and if music keeps her busy, happy and out of trouble, I’m right there with her on that. Now all I have to do is figure out what I am going to get her for Christmas.

For My Listening Pleasure

The jbl speakers at guitar center that I found and ordered came in yesterday. That was quicker than I would have thought they would be, but that is a good thing. I was seriously considering giving these jbl speakers to my brother for Christmas but I hooked them up to make sure that they work and now I am really thinking about keeping them. A good set of speakers can make a huge difference in one’s listening pleasure!

Maybe I’ll make a decision in the next couple of days. I have plenty of time, Christmas isn’t for two more months.

Fashion Jewelry For Christmas Gift Giving

You really have to check this site for fashion jewelry, for the up and coming gift giving requirements, that are looming right ahead of us, The Jewler’s Wife! I remember ordering several pieces from them last year right about this time and was happy with the whole process and the products that I received as well.

I really hate waiting for the last minute to get all of the gifts purchased, in my spare room, wrapped and ready to go for all the people that I end up buying gifts for each year. Online shopping is the way to go these days. You won’t catch me in any old brick and mortar stores during the long and tedious holiday shopping frenzy!

Tools and Their Accessories

Well considering that I really don’t know all that much about the many tools that are available to us these days. I do have a nice, well stocked toolbox, but it only contains the basics that are usually found in a toolbox with nothing fancy or expensive about it. So when I was asked to go online and find reid supply vise accessories I really didn’t know what it was that I was looking for.

It didn’t take much time to find these vise accessories on their friend user website and they were easy enough to order. They should be here by next week and I’m anxious to see if I actually ordered the right ones. If not I know that they have user friendly return and exchange policies that I can always turn to. But hopefully I will have gotten it right the first time around.

Good Insurance Is a Must

Times are seeming to get any better these days. I’m still hearing way too many hard luck stories from everyone that I talk with, from all walks of life. I know things are still extremely tight with my budget issues, so a lot of time is going into finding the best value for the money when I’m researching any of my purchases online and off. I’m even going to start looking a bit at what types of deals I can found for my insurance needs, I know that they are ways to find the best home insurance online, I’ve just got to make time to sit down and take the time to do some browsing.

I’ve always realized how important having a good insurance company and a good insurance policy is, but I’m sure that I can find some online specials that will help loosen up the purse strings a bit. Christmas is coming up sooner rather than later  and I don’t want to be broke for that occasion. So if a fire starts and all my Christmas presents burn all up I want to know that I can turn to my insurance company for replacement satisfaction.

You just gotta love how easy it is to find things on the Internet, just a few key strokes into the Google search engine, such as “Roland Micro Cube Combo Amp Black” and badda boom, badda bing, insto presto it came up with the perfect  amp that I am looking into purchasing my my nephew for birthday party next month.

Sure beats the heck out of running from store to store, or worse yet using the old paper version of the Yellow Pages. I haven’t used the Yellow Pages in years, as soon as I was finds it’s way to my house it goes straight into the Recycling bin that the city provides us all with.

Home Security Issues

With crime on the rise, as usual, it can be a bit scary some times being single and living alone. The economy being such a total screw up, people are turning to crime in order to meet their monthly billing deadlines. My mother has been after me for some time to check into checking some type of security system for my place. As for me I’d like to get a big dog to keep me safe, but alas I’m really set up to take care of a big dog at this point and time in my life. I all ready own a gun, and I know how to use it, but in all reality a security system does make better sense. I just hate it when my mother is right!!!!!

I’ve been doing a bit of research online lately and have found that adt alarm systems seems to have the best value for my money. They have been around and in business for over 130 years and I sure see a lot of their adt security system signs in people’s front yards these days, so they must have an Indianapolis ADT office close by. They must be doing something right. I’ve found that their All-Inclusive Monitoring Bundle would suite my needs, so I’ve submitted my contact information on their web site and am a waiting a call from one of their representatives in order to discuss with them some of the details before signing on the dotted line. I really don’t need anything fancy, but I do some sort of peace of mind, ya know what I mean?

I was telling my sister how fed up I have become with the way that my laptop has been acting. It has seen better days and I’m just not willing to sink any more money into at this point. A newer one would be so nice but I’m leery of spending any amount of money these days with the economy in the toilet the way it is these days.  I’m worried about my cash flow.
