Empty Savings Accounts

Things (the economy) just are not turning around fast enough for most people. People’s savings accounts are being depleted quickly, more houses are being foreclosed on and the unemployment rate is still on the rise. I’m hearing way too many horror stories from so many people. This is going to be another rough holiday season for most of us. I know I’m not looking forward to it. I’m going to have to drastically down size my gift list, which I hope people will be understanding about. The family has even talked about doing away with our traditional gift giving this year. What a bummer.

My sister hasn’t been able to find a job in over six months and her unemployment is going to run out in the next few weeks. I don’t know what she is going to. She has been talking about getting one of those quick cash loans online, but is concerned with her bad credit history and all that goes along with that. I know that there are ways to rais? your credit score, so I advised her to use the Internet to see if she can find a reliable company that will help her out in her time of financial need.

The Emergence of Green Web Hosting

I am all about going and being as “green” as possible these days. It isn’t really difficult considering that I was raised by parents that were tuned in to saving valuable energy and totally into recycling since they were young. Sitcoms and Other Comedy TV Show Behaviors

I can’t believe that I had not noticed before how most of the sitcoms and other “comedy” TV shows are mainly about deception in one form or another. Next time you get the chance to watch any of these shows pay attention and you will see what I mean. They are filled with lying, trickery, arguments and deceit from beginning to end. It makes to sad to think that we are all watching these shows and being entertained by such bad and rude behavior that is becoming so very abundant in today’s world.

Good Money In Translating

It seems to me that any type of legal translation services (off or online) would be welcomed all across the country. With so many people traveling as much as they do these days and so many languages being spoken ( estimated to be between 5 and 6 thousand) there is certainly a great need to be able to communicate.

With this in mind I certainly wish that I had buckled down more in school and taken more languages classes. I did take 7th grade Spanish, twice. Once in 7th grade and then again in summer school because my mother didn’t have day care for me during the summer months so I had to take Typing and Spanish that summer. I can type really good, but as far as the Spanish that is a whole other ballgame.

It very well could be that I would have been making some pretty decent money at this time of my life. The Spanish language is widely used in so many areas of the world, or at least some type of Latin based language. I can muddle through a bit with many Hispanic people that I run across during my daily life, but to be able to hold a decent conversation, much less translate, no can do.

Business Card Printing For Everyone

It is so cute to see how my kid sister is handing out her newly designed and printed business cards to anyone that will take one. You see, she is a stay-at-home mom that was blessed with a set of twin boys, Terry and Jerry. She used to be a working woman and is having a hard time adjusting to the transition of becoming mother.

Just about every day that it isn’t raining or snowing, sis takes the boys to the park where there are a lot of other moms and dads networking amongst themselves while watching their kid(s) on the playground day after day. It seems that the business card printing industry is a big deal for these dedicated parents to hand out with all of their contact information to the other adults that they run into during their day.

Dollars and Sense

My brother-in-law is currently dabbling here and there with Stock Trading.  At dinner last night at my parent’s house the conversation was mainly concerning Online Trading, Mobile Trading and IRA Accounts. I have to tell you that most of it was way over my head. I’m surprised to find that I really don’t know all that much about the Stock Market and all of this economic business, so I’m happy to be learning about all this Online Broker business through him, he is a good guy with a good head on his shoulders.

My sister and he have been married since high school, over 20 years now and they have managed to do quite well for themselves even with the economy in such turmoil as it has been the past few years. So I’m inclined to trust him to a certain extent and am thinking about entrusting him with some of my savings to see if he can make me some much needed money. My parents are contemplating the same thing, so I hope it all goes well. If things go sour there would be much hell to pay and I’d hate to see anything come between family members and their money.

Immigration

We got the news that our good friend Jimmy passed away last night. The whole community will miss all that he did for the immigrates in various neighborhoods around town that are mainly occupied by Latinos. He was a great friend with a big heart that brought a lot of business to the immigration attorney right downtown. We had the pleasure of going to several meetings and learned so much about the immigration issues that we are all concerned about and are effected by.

I am sure that when they get the whole situation under control and announce what type of service will be held that there will be larger than normal crowd attending. I wouldn’t expect anything less for Jimmy.

Sexual Harassment Attorney In The San Diego Area

It breaks my heart to keep hearing the same old story from my youngest sister, who moved all the way across the county and eventually landed in the San Diego California area. She has had the worst luck finding a job. Nothing comes cheap in the entire state of California, much less the San Diego area and if you don’t have a decent income, things can spiral deep down before you can even bat an eye. You want the great weather, you got to pay dearly for it!

Once she finds a job, it doesn’t last long. Each time she is complaining that it is some form of sexual harassment. Today’s Gift Baskets, A Great Gift Idea!

I’ve come up with a perfect gift giving idea to present my manager with at work on Friday. She is turning fifty and we have been planning a surprise party for her for the past several weeks, it should be a blast. Surprise parties are the best, especially when they really turn out to be a real surprise, which I think we have been able to pull off so far.

My manager and her husband are the proud parents of a new baby girl, so they don’t get to go out as often as they are used to being able to do, so I found a great selection of movie gift baskets on the Internet that I think will really float her boat and that they will both enjoy together.

She had the baby shortly before Mother’s Day, so we all started looking online at some nice Mothers day gift baskets to take over to her (being the new mom and all) and her new family, which was a big hit and earned us all brownie points, it was a success and  worked out real well. She is a great lady and we want to keep her happy, which will keep us all happy in the long run.

May The Best Man Win

Tomorrow will be a busy day for me all the way around. I have to take my dog to the vet before lunch, and after lunch I have an eye doctor’s appointment that I have really got to make sure to go to. It has been 2 years since I have had my eyes looked at and I’ve been having some concerns with the way that my eyesight that seems to be getting worse, sigh. Besides the fact that my glasses have seen better days. They seem to fall in the fix or repair daily category. Good thing I found a cheap eye-glass repair kit that I keep in my purse 24/7. It has saved my butt more times that I can count.

After all of the appointments are taken care of I plan on making my way downtown to place my vote, head home, eat some dinner then kick back and watch the news with all of the election coverage that will be plastered all over the TV night. I think it will be a couple of days before we really know who wins with all the problems that this year’s election has been facing, but only time will tell. This is an important election, history in the making. I hope that you plan to vote this year. And may the best man win!
