A Pat on The Back

At the grocery store today I asked the cashier for the store manager, poor guy was ready to freak out on me. I had to assure him that it wasn’t anything negative and nothing to do with him. I wanted to tell the store manager about a certain employee that I see there from time to time that always gives me the biggest smile and a hug and how much I appreciate all that he does in his work there.

The store manager came out and I told him my little story and he thanked me for taking the time out to tell him a good thing about an employee, seems they don’t get many of those these days!

Dental Practices

One of my big fears that I must over come twice a year, is a fear of dentists. When I was a kid my mother used to take me to this Dentist that had bad breath and a bad attitude to go along with it. I remember he would give me a hard time about plucking my eye brows. He believed that eye brows where the gate way to the soul or some such nonsense, I would always come out of that dentist office feeling bad about my self and wishing that I never would have to go back, although his office was decorated with a fascinating fish aquarium and some wonderful seascape paintings that I loved looking at.

I’m so glad that I found the perfect dentist for me to take care of my teeth. I actually found him online at. For over twenty years they have been matching patients up with quality dentists and I’ve told many people about them over the years. Not only do they find dentists in your area but they have good dentistry information that has come in handy for me through out the years.

All you need to do is type in your zip code and click on the type of dentistry service you are looking for, such as a cleaning, braces, whitening, fillings, dentures, caps, root canals and the like, and you will be guided to the appropriate listings of dentists for you to review and choose from. Pretty easy pickings.

New Best Place

With the economy being as it is today, eating out has become more of a luxury for our family dining. Although the kids like to patronize the fast food places, my husband and I prefer to go somewhere a little more interesting. On this occasion we decided to check out a new restaurant that had just opened and after battling with the kids over where to go, we set the security alarm  and headed out. When we arrived at the new Red Elephant, we were very surprised with what we saw, as were the kids. Inside the decor was a wonderful mix of hand painted murals, featuring all sorts of wild animals.

The kids were totally in awe and had to take time to search them all out. They even wandered into the arcade, which to them, was the greatest thing on earth. The menu had everything an adult might want to eat, as well as pizza and burgers for the younger set. Large screen tv’s were in every corner, so grown-ups could watch the news, as well as sporting events. The evening was a huge success and I think the kids may have, at least for the time being, forgotten about that famous fast food place. Must say that the elephant ears on the menu were the icing on the cake.

Dinner Theater

I am going to take my 11 year old niec to the Dinner Theater in a few weeks. She given tickets to it for her birthday and she decided that she wanted me to take her to it instead of her mom. They have “The Pirates of Penzance Junior” which we should both enjoy and I look forward to going with her!

All I Want For Christmas

Hard to believe that Christmas is only a month away, it seems as if we just took down all of the holiday decorations just a few short months ago, now we have to put them up all over again. It takes a lot of time, work and effort each year to get ready for the big day on December 25th and each year we end up buying more items that we just can’t live without to make our houses look festive and welcoming.

My folks have all ready been sending out emails asking what each of us would like for our Christmas presents this year. They always buy the best presents out of anyone I know, they aren’t struggling for money and are willing to purchase items that most people wouldn’t dream of buying some one for Christmas. Like last year I really needed a new stove and I didn’t have the cash to buy a new one, so they bought one of the top of line Jen Air models for me and I couldn’t be happier. And my brother had his heart set on a new roll tonneau cover for his new Ford Pick Up so they made sure that he got the one that he wanted that year. My sister on the hand wanted a new Harley Davidson, but my parents aren’t that generous and she is still moaning and groaning about that.

I have to put my thinking cap on this year to give them some ideas to choose from, it’s really strange that I’m having a hard time coming up with something that I really want or need. That doesn’t happen very often, I can tell you that! I have a week or so to mull it over and come up with some suggestions, I’m sure I’ll figure something out to tell them.

Digging The Deals At Musician Friend

Paying under $300 for a decent Fender guitar is a good deal, if you ask me. Since no one is asking me I took it upon myself to look at what the musician friend website has to offer their shoppers these days. Check out this cutie! I just might be buying myself a Christmas present this year after all!

Black is Back

Fender Jazzmaster 62

Hard to believe that there is much difference between one guitar pickguard or another, but after looking at this fender jazzmaster 62 tortoiseshell pickguard online at Guitar Center’s website I feel a bit more educated on the subject. I’m sorry but I have never gotten into playing the guitar, or any musical instrument for that matter. Making music just wasn’t in the cards for me, nor is singing or even able to carry a tune. For me it has always been about the dance. Poetry in motion has always been my motto!

I am trying to be pro active and getting a bit of holiday shopping before it gets all too overwhelming for me and I start to panic. The holidays are always stressful for me, so many people to buy gifts for and so many people to try and make happy all in the name of Santa Claus!

Girl Games, A Long Time A Coming

I’m so glad that they have finally come up with more girl games. For the longest time most of the video games were targeted to the male species and a big push was made to make more girl games available. It took a while but it is now obvious when you look on the shelves at the gaming stores.

I took my niece out to the local Game Stop store last weekend. She had received numerous gift cards from Game Stop, by her request of course and wanted to go purchase some new games for her Wii. I enjoy taking her out shopping, I don’t rush her and she is relaxed and has a chance to take it all in and make wise decisions. When she goes with her mother it is rush rush and let’s keep it moving, which isn’t fun at all when there is so much to take in, ya know.

Not only are there more video girl games, but there are a lot more girl games online these days as well such as are offered at easygirlgames dot com. My niece is the perfect ages for most of the games. She will be turning 10 next month and is still into Barbies, Unicorns and Bratz, big time. Hard to imagine that she will be a teen-ager in a few short years and who knows how that will all play out!

The Medical Field

We have all heard that the medical field will always be in need for good qualified people and that people are flocking back to school in order to further their education and get into various medical fields. After all the classes and training are done and over with comes the interviewing process. That is part that always throws me for a loop, I just really suck at interviewing, so I’m glad that my employment is pretty stable and hopefully I won’t have to worry about interviewing any time soon.

I do know that the Internet can be a very valuable tool in this area. You can go online and find consultant interview questions to give you a clue on what you should be ready for, so that is a plus, we could all use a head’s up from time to time. There are sites that can provide you will a consultant interview course, like the ones being offered at Medicalinterviewsuk.co.uk. They offer their services online to anyone interested in a consultant medical interview and have a great consultant interview guide written by NHS Consultants.

I have an old family friend who moved to England several years ago and loves it. She is one of many that is trying to break into a new field due to the economy issues that are world wide. She found this site and included the link in her recent email to the family and friends that she keeps in contact with via email.

Going Green, It’s Every Where

I find it interesting that going green has become such a big issue. Don’t get me wrong, I think it is great and I try my best to do right by our Mother Earth when possible. I have always been into recycling and have turned a good amount of people onto recycling through out the years. So I am happy to see such a big push these past few years.

I was browsing online earlier today and found an interesting site that rates and reviews website hosting companies. After a few clicks I cam upon the 10 top rated Green Web Hosting companies, which really tickled me. I didn’t know that there was such a thing and was fascinated to see that these companies are doing what they can in becoming a respectable green web host.

If we all take the time to do what it takes to become greener in our every day lives, we just might have a chance in surviving a few more decades, at least I hope so!
