My Love Affair With Shoes and Clothing

I have a love affair with shoes and clothes. It used to drive my father right out of his mind when my mom and I would go out shopping (with his credit card of course) and come back with bags of new clothes. He would always rant and rave and insist that we put a stop to the madness, but he never took the credit card away from her. We would try and clean out our closets each spring and take a trip to the Good Will to donate what we didn’t want or need anymore. But I can honestly say that more came in the house than what would come in with us.

These days I do most of my shopping online. That is where the deals are, for the most part anyway. Since I’m a plus size woman I can find more of my sizes online rather than bouncing from one store to another looking for fashions in my size. One of my favorite online merchants offers free  Women’s Clothing Catalogues just by registering for one at their site of Simplybe.co.uk, so I always look forward to receiving their catalogue to browse through and share with some of my plus size friends.

I love their fashions and their accessories. They have just about everything that I need when I need it and would urge anyone interested in women’s plus size clothing to give them a look see for them self. I’m sure you’ll find something to get excited about there.

Keeping Up With The Times

It is amazing how the Internet has so drastically changed the way we all are conducting our business. It is so very important to keep up with the times and having the best website design possible makes all difference in the world to the numerous online merchants and businesses. There is so much to offer in ways of website design these days that it really does pay to have the job well and the job done right from the start.

I know that I have been doing most of my research and purchasing most of what I need online and if the website isn’t up to par and user friendly, I go somewhere else. It’s amazing how some of the sites that I have run across don’t even post what type of payments they accept. Like if they accept Pay Pal, Visa, Master Card, Discovery, etc. I don’t like having to dig around in order to find something out that should be on the home page to begin with. And if they offer free shipping that should be stated up front as well. It only makes sense to me to let your prospective customers see information like so that they know right from the start if your terms are appropriate for them or not.

Immigration Issues

I know that I poke fun at our immigration issues from time to time, but I do know what a major concern this “hot topic” is to so many people. This is an important topic that is growing and growing, not just in the great state of California, but all over the United States as well.

President Obama has his hands full with so many issues to sort out and deal with. I can only pray that during his 4 years in office that he can get a handle on many of the problems that we are finding ourselves faced with these days. In the mean time it’s good to know that there are people out there that are dealing with immigration and trying to help each and every day. I was reading an interesting news article about a particular denver immigration lawyer who has been a full service immigration law firm for over ten years and I thought I might post it here for all to read.

Hate Saying Good Bye

I stopped in at my bank today to say good bye to one of the nicest people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. The first time we spoke I knew that I liked her and she has made my weekly trips to the bank a lot of fun. She is expecting her second child come October 30th and is leaving her job to become a full time mother. Today was her last day. I wish her all the luck in the world. I will miss her, but she did give me her email address so that we can send emails and keep in touch along with the sending of the new baby pictures now and then.

Wally World Issues

I can tell you that there are oh so many reasons that I hate to go to Wal Mart, parking is one of them and right now with all of the 4th of July holiday shoppers out and about, the place is really a nightmare. The crowds are overwhelming, the sales clerk are very grumpy and the whole store looks like it hurricane hit it, what a disaster area that place was last night.

To top it all off, it starting raining as soon as we left the house and continued through out the entire evening and well into the night, walking a mile to the parked car, loaded with 2 carts full of food and other newly purchased products, in the rain was not my idea of a good time. Bad enough that we had to stand in line for over 25 minutes and the place was full of screaming unruly children that brought on a total migraine experience! Give me a break!

Pass It Along, It’s All Good!

I honestly thought I knew pretty much all there is about the different web hosting companies that are out there for us to choose from. But I recently stumbled onto a site, webhostinggeeks.com, that has a great amount of information concerning the many dedicated server web hosting” sites and I found that they have put together a list of 7 different  “Green Web Hosting Providers” that are eco-friendly and doing what they can to save our mother earth, now how cool is that?

These 7 listed providers use renewable and alternative energy, as well as recycling waste, the planting of trees, and they also purchase RECs in order to power their data centers, which I think are all great ways to make a difference in our soon to be maxed out world.

 Ireally have to respect these companies and I would encourage anyone to check this site out to find more information on them. The company that comes in as Number One in the list of 7 is SuperGreen, they have it listed as the most Eco-Friendly Host, with the provider coming in as Number Seven being GoodAvocado, with the boasting of being a wind powered hosting.

Today’s GPS

It’s cool how GPS tracking is being used more and more this days and has become very easily accessible through websites such as Live View GPS has, which is where I have found a tremendous amount of information about this up and coming fascinating technology. Whether is be for business or for your own personal use, it has now become more affordable to protect and monitor anything that you deem necessary to. In fact their live vehicle tracking, positions and is updated every ten seconds, that can be viewed by any computer hooked up with the Internet anywhere. That certainly could and would come in handy for so many needs that I can think of. It is an interesting read and worth the time to check out, if you will.

8th and Finale Season on Scrubs

I have always loved the show Scrubs. I’m saddened to find out that this is the last session that it will be produced and aired. I remember the first time I watched Scrubs, it was a bit hard to swallow, but I soon realized that it was a really funny show and I will miss it dearly. Thank goodness for re runs!
