My roommate comes from a rich family, and her dad completely bank rolls her lifestyle. She is really sweet, and I always end up benefitting from her father’s generosity, so I can’t complain. I felt bad accepting it at first, but what could I do? When I spoke to my roommate about it she told me she knew it was weird, but that’s the way her dad is and that I should just enjoy it. She said she has tried to tell him she wants to be on her own, but he won’t take no for an answer. If only that was one of the problems I had with my parents! I was worried that she would turn out to be a terrible roommate and that is why her dad needed to sweeten the deal, but she’s not. She cleans up after herself and is very respectful.
