Years ago I was a big fan of Levi jeans. I wouldn’t even consider buying a different brand of jeans. I liked the way that Levis fit me. I liked the different styles of boot cut and straight legs, the midrise and low-rise, and my favorite jean of all time was the Levi 501 button fly jeans. I haven’t seen the Levis 501 jeans in years. They have a line of jeans now that they call 501s, but they have a zipper fly with extra buttons just for the look. The original 501 used the buttons to actually close your fly – not just look pretty or nostalgic.
It always amazes me how many brands and styles of jeans that are being manufactured every day to try and find their way into the hearts and the pocket books of today’s jean wearers. Something that used to be so easy to run in and grab right off of the shelve can now take hours looking, comparing and trying on all the various jeans that are available these days.
I have mainly been wearing men’s jeans for years now. They are so much more comfortable all the way around than the ones made for the female gender. The pockets are deeper, you can get the right length regardless of your waist size and they just feel so much better to wear, not as restraining I guess is the right way to explain it. So it can really take a long time to find the perfect jeans considering I have the ladies section and the men’s section to check out.
