Emergency visit

It turns out that I had to visit the hospital the other day. I was at work when a friend of mine cut himself while opening some boxes. While the cut wasn’t all that bad, we still wanted to make sure that he got the proper medical care. Anyway, since I didn’t have much to do that day, I decided to volunteer to take him to the emergency room.

Any time you go to the hospital, you are in for a long wait. It seems that we waited forever until the doctors finally called him in. I had already read all the magazines in the waiting room and had gotten some snacks from the vending machines. I must admit that I was quite bored. That’s when I happened to strike up a conversation with one of the nurses.

She was wearing a nursing uniform that was quite attractive. She told me that she had ordered the uniform online from a site called http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/. She stated that it was where she got all her clothes for work. I was impressed as she told me the prices were low and the quality was good. Anyway, my friend finally came out and we were able to leave. I think that next time an emergency happens at the office; I will let someone else volunteer to take them.

Mexico

Our brothers to the south are in trying times. The country of Mexico has been trying to deal with the drug cartels that plague their country. The drug cartels are the cause of corruption and violence that has spread throughout the country. They have now reached a new low.

The cartels are now being blamed for recruiting young girls to carry out their hits. Authorities have found that at least six young girls were trained to carry out hits for the cartel. I hope that Americans will realize the harm that our drug use is doing to Mexico and stop the drug trade in their tracks.

Wardrobes

It’s funny how life takes you for surprise sometimes. I was in a convenience store today with one of my friends and he noticed that everybody was dressed for work. There was a person wearing a uniform who was obviously an air conditioner worker. There was another person who was wearing a delivery uniform. This got us to thinking about how people identify themselves.

Just then, a young lady walked into the store dressed up in cute pink scrubs. We knew that she was a nurse right away. As we stood in line, we started a conversation. A made a comment about her dress and she told me all about it. She said that she had ordered her scrubs from a site called blueskyscrubs.com. That was where she got all her clothes that she wore to work.

I thought that the clothes looked very comfortable. I was wondering where I could get some for myself. She told me to go to http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Men/ and that I would be able to find any scrub uniforms I needed. When I got home, I checked out the site. I found that they had many clothes I could order for a very cheap price. I am glad that I met that young lady as my wardrobe is much improved.

New odors found

The University of California has been working on a long standing problem. That is, how to keep people from being bitten by mosquitoes. What they have discovered is that there are at least three odors that mosquitoes don’t like. The odors essentially block the ability of mosquitoes from knowing that a human is near. This in turn keeps them from sucking the blood they crave.

Scientists are working on the problem of turning this knowledge into a practical compound that can be used by humans to keep the mosquitoes off. I hope they get it working soon!!

Easy problems

One problem that I have encountered this year is carpets. I do a lot of work outside and I seem to be unable to clean my shoes before I come inside. It has caused a lot of tension between me and my wife as we fight over this all the time. She is constantly reminding me to take off my shoes before I come inside. This has me in a bind as I just can’t seem to think about it before I enter the house.

Luckily, I have found a solution to our problem. All I have to do is contact a Carpet Cleaning Round Rock company and they will come out and do the job. I know I can always get an appointment for the time I want. They are very professional and do their job in a timely manner. They do good work and make my home life a lot easier.

I was also able to recommend this company to my friend who lives in Texas. He contacted a site called The Steam Team to help him as well. It seems that everyone is happy with the results. My wife is happy and I am sure that my friend’s wife is happy too. I am glad there are easy solutions to such easy problems.

IPv6 is near

Like nearly everything else in the world, the internet runs on numbers. The problem is that it is running out of them fast. Since the internet is taking off, there is quickly becoming a shortage of IP addresses. These addresses connect one user to another. With only 4.3 billion of them available, they are running out.

The good news is that there is a new protocol in the works. It is called IPv6 and it will provide a nearly endless amount of addresses that will be available. The system is set to be tested out soon and hopefully everything will go all right.

Solving problems

As the weather has been getting nicer, I have been doing a lot of work around the house. The winter was pretty hard and it has taken awhile to get things straightened out. I have made a lot of progress though and am hoping to start some new projects this year. One thing I noticed was that some of the items in the yard would have done better in the winter weather if I had put them under a tarp. This would have kept out the rain and snow.

I hope to take care of that problem this year. I have plans to purchase some canvas tarps to protect the items. I want to put a tarp over my firewood. This way, I won’t have to spend so much time out in the cold trying to get pieces of wood that are frozen together. I also hope to keep the wood drier so it is easier to light.

I also have some painting projects going on. One thing about me is that I am a terrible painter. I am always making a mess and getting paint everywhere. I plan to have a drop cloth or two handy when I get started. This year is looking pretty good so far and I hope to eliminate some of the problems I had last year. I guess we’ll find out.

Boats and water

One thing I love to do is to get out on the water in a boat. I like to fish, but I don’t necessarily have to. Just being on the water and seeing the sunlight on the waves as we make our way down the river is a joy to me. Being with the family is another aspect I like. The kids enjoy the outdoors and I like the fact that I am helping them learn to appreciate Mother Nature.

I would like to get a bigger boat sometime in the future, but for now I am happy with the one I have. It’s never left me stranded and that’s something that I like. I hope we can spend many hours on the water this year.

The long ride

I love how big our country is. I went on a trip recently and discovered that you can drive for hours on end at 80 miles per hour and still not be even close to our destination. This happened to me when I went to see a friend who lives in Mississippi. His name is john and we went to college together. It was good to see him and his family.

John had just bought a new home and was just starting to get it the way he wanted it. The first thing I noticed was that he didn’t have a security alarm. I talked to him about this and told him that it would be worth the investment to have some peace of mind. Knowing that his family was safe is of great importance. We found a home security tupelo company that could provide the services he needed.

Another aspect of his new home was that it would be very expensive for him to have cable service installed. I am sure that John is enjoying his new home and his family is too. As for me, I am facing a long ride home!

Spring cleaning

Today is Saturday and I have a problem. I have been promising to clean up the garage and it looks like the day has finally come. I can put it off no longer. I am not looking forward to this as I know there will be some debate with my wife over what items to keep and which ones to throw away. She doesn’t seem to understand the importance of keeping items that we may need in the future.

Anyway, I guess I’ll get started and do what I can to get the garage clean while limiting the damage done to our inventory. Maybe I can distract her later with a shopping trip!!
