Love them gift cards!

I have thought that the invention of the gift card was a great idea. Its ease of purchase in the event that an emergency gift was required made it a useful tool. I have been saved from an embarrassing situation more than once by being able to purchase a quick gift for a forgotten event.

It turns out that there can be drawbacks to this wonderful item. Some cards carry fees that reduce their value over time. Another problem is that many times the cards are never used. When they are used, it’s not uncommon that the buyer ends up spending more money than they thought by using the card! Despite their drawbacks, I still love the gift card!

A Wonderful invention

One of the best inventions lately has been the advent of the gift card. I really like how easy it is to purchase one and how much time it saves. Whenever I need to buy a gift for someone, I tend to look at the option of a gift card first. I usually will get one from a local restaurant because I know that everyone likes to eat.

Many times it is difficult to know what kind of gift someone wants. Since I need to buy things for people from time to time, it has become a standard gift for me. I like the quick easy access to them and their versatility. I am glad they invented the gift card!

Robots Rock

r2d2

Robots are here to stay, but we don’t have much use for personal robots yet. I would really like to have an R2D2 robot and a C3PO to help me out. There are a lot of things I could have a robot do for me that I would rather not have to handle myself.

I guess the closest thing to a personal robot is the Roomba vacuum cleaner. My sister has one and loves it. It cleans the floors by itself and does great on everything except stairs.

Bad Hair

Today I wanted to get my hair cut. I can’t stand it when my hair flies into my eyes when I am driving or trying to work. So I went to the little shopping center down the road from my house and found a hair cutting place where it costs around ten bucks for a haircut. I don’t know any of the girls in there who cut hair, so I just paid my money and took my chances. Well, they must have given me the new girl who doesn’t know how to cut guy’s hair. She did an awful job. I looked in the mirror and said, “You have got to be kidding me.” I was so mad with her but I kept my cool. I told her the only way to fix it was to just shave it all off. So I’ll be a baldy for a few weeks, thanks to this dumb girl’s bad hair cut and it cost me $10 to get my head shaved. I won’t be going back there any time soon.

TV and Christmas

It has hard put to find anything on the television that isn’t pertaining to the Holiday Season, that is in full swing as I type these holiday words, we just can’t seem to get away from this over abundance of Holiday Spirit. At the Mall and ALL the other stores have been playing holiday music for the past several weeks and have gone the extra mile to decorate in the most elaborate decorating frenzy ever, it just seems that it is everywhere and it can be a bit over whelming when you are as strapped for cash as I seem to be lately.

One more week and it will all be a memory, hopefully a good one for each and all.
