Hard Times

Recently, times have been hard economically. Everyone has been struggling to make a dollar and it seems that it’s getting harder every day. That’s why I have been looking for ways to improve my income level. I don’t really have time for another job and so I was looking for something part time. It also would be really nice if I could work from home on my computer.

Anyway, I was talking with a friend of mine about ways I could accomplish my goal. That’s when he told me about rich jerk. I thought he was full of it and so I just brushed off the idea and forgot about it. It wasn’t too much later when I heard the name rich jerk again and I must admit that my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to check out the site.

It turns out that the site is all about making money online. This was just what I was looking for and so I watched a video about how it’s done. I wanted to start right away as I wanted to be a rich jerk too. I know that the money will soon be rolling in and I will have accomplished my goal of adding extra income to my life. 2G 3G 4G

Cell phones are now vulnerable to attack from hackers who wish to gain information about the user. Recently, a security researcher built a device that will intercept phone calls and record the conversations. Chris Paget showed the audience the new technology Saturday at the DefCon conference.

Paget’s machine tricks cell phone into thinking they are going through a cell tower, when they are actually being routed and recorded. This applies to 2G (second generation) phones. Most new phones are 3G or 4G. I hope the industry takes notice and improves security for the phones.

Servers

One thing that is for certain when you work in a large office like I do is that there is always a possibility that your computers will fail. This happened to us recently and I can tell you it was no picnic. The server that runs our website went down and we couldn’t get it back online. It was a nightmare to deal with and we are still suffering the after effects. My boss decided that we needed to change the way we operated and ordered me to take steps to improve the situation.

My first thought was that we needed a professional to ensure our website stayed up and running. Since we own a server, I thought that colocation may be the answer to our problem. This is a process where the server is sent somewhere else to be maintained. I decided to check out some other options as well. Another option would be to have a dedicated server for our site.
