The Obama administration has been working on overhauling Medicare. They want to find savings in the program to ensure that the money will be there for future generations. They recently reported that they have found over $8 billion dollars in savings and plan to find more over the next decade.
I am glad that this administration is taking the issue seriously. It is important to millions of Americans who rely on the system. The debate will likely rage on over the years but at least we are trying to correct the problems and make the system work.
