One thing that I have found out in life is that it pays to be prepared. I learned this early in life as a boy scout and it has paid off ever since. One of my relatives recently learned this lesson again the hard way. One of my aunts lives in Australia with her husband. He recently passed away from cancer and left her living alone. The medical bills had been piling up and her finances were a mess. They had no insurance of any kind.
Now my aunt is living on a meager welfare check. She is barely squeaking by and it is taking its toll on her health. Of course the family is chipping in to take care of her, but this was not necessary. The whole mess could have been avoided if she had taken out australian life insurance. Then she would have been prepared for the future financially.
I have been checking around with all the members of my own family. I wanted to be sure that everyone else is prepared in case of an accidental death. I advised those close to me to obtain term life insurance as well as funeral insurance. This will help them meet their financial obligations in case of the worse. I hope everyone else will do the same and ensure themselves a bright future.
