Facebook Manners

I have been on Facebook for quite a while now. I know a lot of people are new to it, and I’m glad about that. But there are some definite manners that are expected from FB “friends” and I wish there was a list of those that newcomers had to read before they are allowed to create a page and annoy the rest of us.

Famiy Picnic Plans

Just got l from my brother-in-law, Claude. He wants to round up a bunch of us family members for a picnic on the Fourth of July weekend. Since the Fourth is falling on a Monday this year, none of us will have to work that day. But I suggested we have the gathering on Sunday afternoon, because I know a lot of people already have commitments with their nuclear families on the Fourth itself.

Subs for Lunch

Trying to get out of the habit of buying a hamburger and fried for lunch so often. I seem to have them 4-5 times a week. That can’t be good for me, health wise, and it gets expensive, too. I am going to try to have a sub sandwich at least once a week and some kind of fish or salad on other days. Surely I can get back to a healthy diet and treat my heart better.

Disposable PCs

I am wondering if anyone has a computer that they use on a daily basis that is more than 2 year old? I know that none of mine seem to least that long. I have both a desktop and a laptop, and both were bought this year. They are not top of the line, I admit. But together they cost almost one thousand dollars. I don’t like the idea of spending that much money on something that will break or need to be replaced in just a year or two. I wonder how long these two computers are going to last?
