Basement Discovery

I was in the basement earlier today, attempting to dig out some of the Christmas boxes, when I noticed an unfamiliar box on the shelf. I could not believe my eyes when I opened the box and found a Christmas present that we had bought our youngest for last Christmas, it appears that we neglected to wrap it and put it under the tree last year.

Well it’s one more gift that I don’t have to worry about affording and purchasing in the next week or two, and it will most definitely find it’s way under the tree in time for this year’s gift giving frenzy!

What’s Up With A Console Cable?

Hubby tells me that we need to order a console cable but he seems to enjoy keeping in the dark as to why we need it (could he be up to something, hmm, something to think about)

He asked me to go online, he gave me the website diablocable dot com to go to and has asked me to just order him one up. This is not an unusual request seeing as I am the only one with a charge/debit card which is needed to make purchases online, and he has no patience when it comes to ordering items on line, but he always lets me know the who, what and where of it all when I do it for him.

Only thing that I can come up with is maybe he is working up something special for my birthday, that is coming up very soon, next month if I remember correctly. I guess time will tell and for now I’ll play his little game.

Happy Birthday Sis

My sister is celebrating her birthday today. I wish she could spend the day doing everything fun and nice for herself to pamper her body and relax the mind. Wouldn’t that be anice way to start the next year of your life?

But she doesn’t have that luxury, what with the economic times we are all in plus the fact that her hubby was hurt in a car wreck and can’t work until he recovers. So it was off to work she goes, and her dinner plans include Chinese take out that she picks up on her way home from work. So at least she doesn’t have to cook.

Sis – I love you and hope you manage to have a happy day on your birthday!

We All Love Cupcakes!

I have found the perfect gift to give to my mother for Mother’s Day I usually just send her a nice vase of springtime flowers that she loves so much, but upon surfing the Web, I came across a site that has a really great product called Cup a Cake Cupcake Holders. These holders have in each container these plastic “prongs” that keep the cupcake from moving around thus keeping all of that delicious frosting from getting messed up, which never seems to fail from happening.

My mother is a very busy women that attends all kinds of Women’s Club activities that always need a dessert or side dish to be brought along, and mother has a great recipe for cup cakes that she uses a lot so I think that she will really enjoy this new product idea and will get much use out of it.  This cool website is definitely going to be bookmarked for future use, they have some very unusual and unique gifts that I would like to keep in mind for the Christmas holidays that will be here before you know it.

Plush Amplifiers

When I hear the word plush I think of something that is extremely pricey. So when I found out that I could buy plush amplifier at musicians friend for less than $50, I was excited.  I really can’t afford a whole lot for numerous birthday presents that are up and coming in the month of September. The month of September and the month of March are chalk full of birthdays and anniversaries. As much as I try and budget for these extremely popular celebrations that require a gift there never seems to be enough to spread around as I would like it to.

Even $50 bucks is a bit more than I would like to spend on this particular gift for this particular family member, but I know how much he has been wanting one and I can’t wait to see the look on his face when he opens it up and realizes just what it is!

An Ideal Birthday Idea For Hubby

Hubby has a birthday coming up in a few weeks and I was thinking of how is back is always giving him such trouble.  I seem to spend a good amount of time rubbing his back for him and I have to admit that it would be a relief not to spend so munch of my time on his aches and pains so that I can deal with my own issues, mainly menopause, ugh..

 Massage Chairs really looks like something Hubby would really enjoy and use, and maybe even share with me at times.

Waterproof Binoculars

With my Dad’s birthday coming up next month I am already starting to stress about what I can buy for him for his birthday present. Buying gifts for either of my parents is a tough assignment, as they are well off and have just about anything they need or want as well as it being right after Christmas. So finding a present they will like and appreciate becomes a bigger challenge on every gift giving occasion.

My Dad is healthy and active, and loves to be out on the water, so I think that getting something nautical would be nice. The True Libra

Since I was born on October the 15th I am a Libra, what the call a True Libra. I fit the description of a Libra perfectly, which I can’t say happens for all the other Libras that I know and have in my life. There are hundreds of images online for the astrological sign of Libra. This particular image is definitely my favorite so far, must be the good looking dude holding the scales, ya think?

I Love My New Nook!

My mom bought my one of the best birthday presents, ever! She got me a Nook reader! It is really awesome!

She gave me a $20 gift card with the Nook, so I went online at Barnes and Noble and immediately found 3 books that I have been wanting to read. It only took a few second to download the books on my my Nook and I was reading the first one last night!

The one weird thing about the Nook is that there is not way to turn it off. That’s right! It is always on. There is a sleep feature if you set it down and walk away for longer than 15-20 minutes. But when you come back it fires right up and is still on the same page where you left off.

The battery life is supposed to be about 2 weeks with normal use. Isn’t that amazing?

Happy 55th Birthday BFF!

This is a shout out to my BFF on her 55th birthday! It sucks that we live so far away and don’t get to see each other but about once a year if we are lucky. We have been best friends since the 4th grade and have managed to maintain close and in touch all this time. Friends are hard to come by and true friends are nearly impossible to find and hold onto. I’m so lucky to have her in my life.
