Reading Should Help Me Relax

For the most part I have enjoyed reading, but since getting married and starting a family there doesn’t leave much time to sit down and read a good book other than the monthly Reader’s Digest that mainly stays in our bathroom.  A short story here and there, a laugh or two, and keeping up with the newest controversies from all over is about all the recreational reading that I get now a days.

I keep hearing from other busy Moms about the Book Clubs that they belong to and how much they enjoy reading books, it is one way that they can relax and help ease the stresses of their busy scheduled days.

Since the kids are getting a bit older and can entertain themselves a bit more easily (I guess so with TVs, DVDs, CD’s, PC’s, Playstations, Nintendo’s, X-Boxes, cell phones, etc.) I have decided that I will start taking some time and start reading some of the many books that we have sitting on our dusty bookshelves.  Of course this reading will take place after my blogging has been finished because I truley enjoy this as well.

So, off to the bookcases I go, I hope the dust bunnies won’t get too upset with me for invading their “Personal Space”.

Colds

Wasn’t feeling well last night, thinking I just needed a good night sleep and would wake up feeling like myself again, but that is what I get for thinking!

Sent hubby to the store to pick up some cold medicine and something quick and easy for him to make supper for the kids if I’m not up to cooking this evening.  Some chicken soup would be perfect. What a guy, he was going to do a side plumbing job for some friends this week-end, but promised me that he would call and see if he can do it next week-end, so that he can stay close to home to give me a chance to focus on feeling better.  I need to get myself back on my feet before the work week starts, have a busy schedule planned and being sick is NOT on the schedule.

The Tiller

Hubby is taking his time getting the tiller ready for this year’s planting season and I’m getting anxious to get the ball rolling and the garden planted. If I knew how to do all that was necessary to get the darned thing ready I’d be more than glad to take care of it, but alas I’ve been kept in the dark when it comes to most of the “lawn care” equipment around here and the more I nag the more stubborn he becomes, sigh…..

Mouse Traps

Just the thought of a mouse trap creeps me out, but it appears that we are in need of a few of them around the house right now. I’m finding mouse droppings in a few areas and we have to nip this issue in the bud before they really take over and make my life miserable. But I can tell you right now that it won’t be me that checks the traps and I won’t be disposing of any dead mice, I don’t have the heart or the stomach.
