Brother-in-law sends good news about his new job

Just received an interesting email from my brother-in-law with the subject line saying “heating and cooling PA”, it’s a darn good thing that I noticed it was from him, otherwise I would have deleted it thinking that it was spam. His email had told me that he had just landed a job with a wonderful company that he sent me the link to, for me to check out. The link is www.lowryelectric.com and after reviewing the site I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is around the Delaware and Pennsylvania area who is trying to find spectacular service with their Electric, heating and cooling needs.

He should do well with this job because he has been working in this field for years and its right up his alley. I hope that he will stay with this company for a good long while so that he can take advantage of the benefits that they offer because his wife is expecting their first baby in November this year and needs to have a job where there is not only great benefits but also wonderful people to work with to make his day go by quicker and feel more satisfied then his previous job.

Girls night out!

I was thinking that tonight being a Friday night, that I was going to stay home and watch a little bit of TV and relax. Well one of my girlfriends from work had called me a few hours ago and wants me to go out with her to a nice bar/restaurant with two other girls from work.  Well I haven’t had a girls night out in a long time, so I had no idea what to wear, so I asked my daughter to help me pick something out to wear that’s casual but formal. As soon as we got to the mall, she dragged me into an awesome store with beautiful night out outfits all around. I wanted the whole store, but my daughter within 2 minutes of searching brought me a beautiful baby blue night dress with Rhine stones that went around the neck, and my first thought was “Yeah right! Maybe 20 years ago!” But I went into the dressing room and tried it on, and come to find out I wasn’t disappointed at all. I looked in that mirror and felt 25 again. When we came home, I tried it on and did my makeup and hair and went out to show my family I got a response I wasn’t expecting from my husband. He had said how beautiful I looked, and wished me to have a great time with the gals, and my daughter was smiling like she was proud, and my son was surprised. So now Im off to a great night out and enjoying the company of 3 wonderful girls whom I never thought would even talk to me, just for the fact that they are much younger and Im much much older. But I do believe Ill have a wonderful time tonight, and maybe get a few good friends out of it too.

Little brother is checking out Personal Loans

My youngest brother, who is still living right outside of the Washington D.C. area has been having the worst luck as of late.  He lost his job right after the Christmas holidays, then his car broke down and now his wife of four years is threatening to leave him if he doesn’t get his act together.

I know how hard it is to find work when you don’t have a car to get you to and from places, granted in the D.C. area there is an abundance of public transportation available but some people just aren’t into that and he is one of them.

I suggested that he go on-line and research some of the companies that are advertising loans even if you have a history of bad credit and I know that there are several out there, it is just a matter of sitting yourself down and checking them out to see which one best suits your needs.

I suggested a web-site that I am familiar with www.personalloanspro.com which specializes in bad credit personal loans.  I’m sure that he would be categorized in the High Risk Personal Loan area, but is alright, all it would take is a few moments of his time to sit down at his P.C. and apply for his free online approval where he would go to their secure server and apply in just a matter of minutes to see if they could help him out in his time of need with one of their Personal Loans.

We all need help once in a while, it is too bad that no one in the family is in the position to help him out, everyone is strapped for cash now a days, can you believe that gas in now $3.59 a gallon. Pretty soon everyone will be needed loans just to pay for gas for their vehicles and to heat their homes with, pretty scary thought isn’t it?

Daughter wants to check out on-line an Auto Loan

My Daughter has had her eyes on a certain 1991 Honda Civic, and I talked to her into checking out the Internet to see if they had an Auto Loans website to see if she was able to finance the car. So we checked it out, and come to find out she has bad credit. So I had told her to check it out again, to see if they had a website for Bad Credit Auto Loans, lo and behold she found one www.autoloansmania.com.

The website advertises Auto Loans for Bad Credit “No matter what your financial situation may be, we are here for you!” Sounds good to me, all we had to do was simply tell them what type of loan you were interested in getting approved for. Once you made a selection, you will be transferred to their secure auto loan application. “It couldn’t of been any easier than that” I said.

Crazy Weathermen

We are trying to make plans for the week-end but the weathermen won’t make up their minds.

At first they were saying that it will rain on Sunday, then it changed to Sunday evening/Monday morning, now they are saying Sunday again, ugh, it makes it hard to plan things this way.

My youngest wants to invite her girlfriends over for a sleep over and I would like to take them to the park and possibly go creek walking with them. We love finding a creek and then walking in and around it while following where it takes us, we have been doing it for years now and the girls really enjoy it. We find all kinds of interesting things along the way and the girls get to see first hand how awful people are about littering, the creek is almost always full of all kinds of trash, which makes us very sad indeed. It ends up a learning experience for all of us in some way or another it seems.

Nice weather for the Pope’s visit

It was a bit chilly today for the Pope’s arrival into our nations capitol, Washington D.C., on T.V. the wind was seen blowing the women’s dresses all over and several hats went flying away and the Pope had to grab the garment that he wears on his head so it wouldn’t take off in the wind.

The weather man says that we are in for some very nice weather for the next couple of days. Tomorrow we should see the 60’s, the next day the 70’s and the following day there is talk of almost hitting the 80 degree mark, now that is what I’m talking about.

We may even have a rain free weekend, we haven’t had one of those in a few weeks. As much as we need the rain, I wish it would do it during the week and not on the weekends, but I know that is a large request.

The Pope has arrived safely

The biggest news story of the week seems to be the arrival of the Pope in Washington D.C.  it seems every channel is running some kind of special about his first visit to the U.S. as the Pope.

They are showing him getting out of the plane after an 8 hour long flight, he seemed very fit and not as tired out as one would think a 80 year old man would be after spending that much time traveling, although I’m sure he traveled first class all the way which makes the trip at bit easier on a person.

They say that tomorrow is his 81st birthday and he will be spending the entire day at the White House with the Bush’s in private quarters, I can think of a lot worse places that one could spend their birthday at, that is for sure.

One thing amused me that they were saying about him is that he is the first Pope to have in his own Ipod and that he has a lot of music on it like Beethoven, Bach and all of the other classic classical artists also.

He has a full schedule ahead of him and I’m sure we will all be hearing all the details soon enough.

What a beautiful day

The day was so nice that Hubby and I just had to go outside and enjoy some of it, it was in the mid seventies! It rained all day yesterday (Sunday) and now we are in for a nice week, it least that is what they are saying today.

The yard is in need of so much that at first we were over whelmed, but we just dug in and soon the afternoon was almost over and we were getting hungry for dinner. I love that it can be 7:30pm and it is still light outside.

I can’t wait until the firefly’s start coming out, there is something magical about seeing them flittering about in the backyard. And we should be getting some hummingbirds again this year, they are so cool to watch!

Speaking of fundraisers

Hubby and I went to our daughter’s school last night to met her teachers for the semi -annual Teacher/Parent Conference, we had the chance to talk with all of her teachers, they all spoke highly of her.

To get to one of her classes we had to walk through the cafeteria, that is when we noticed that they were having a silent auction.  There was probably a dozen or so nicely packaged baskets that were filled with assorted themed products.  Most of the baskets had bids all ready of $75 or more, but we found one, a coffee filled basket with a new coffee maker enclosed also that no one was bidding on, so we placed a bid on it and walked away and didn’t think anything else of it.

Well we got a phone call from the school yesterday, I saw on caller I.D. that is was the school calling, so I thought it was our daughter calling from the clinic with a tummy ache, but surprise, surprise, it wasn’t her, it was a lady telling us that we had won the silent auction coffee basket, how about that.

Fundraising, again

When school first started, they asked us parents to sign up to volunteer for some things throughout the year, and I signed up to assist with the fundraising programs. I hadn’t heard anything all year, so I thought that I had been forgotten (boo hoo), until the phone rang the other evening and I ended up talking with the Volunteer Coordinator, and she talked me into coming to the meeting to see what could be done.

At the meeting, I was asked (as were a few other moms also) to check around and come up with some ideas and suggestions for their end of the year fundraiser. The proceeds will help with the end of the year graduation celebrations.

I have been involved with fundraising events before, I guess anyone with children that go to public schools and/or participates in any kind of sport activity is all too familiar with it, for that matter.

So I spent some time on the Internet, taking advantage of quickly and easily finding the information that I was seeking right there at home, on my PC, not even having to pick up the phone and deal with voice mails, or pagers, or people not returning phone calls, playing phone tag or anything else that is irritating like that.

I found during my researching that it appears that the two most popular items that are out there used for fundraising are the custom car magnets and silicone bracelets. So I found a great web-site, www.arcmktg.com that has those two items for sale, and I think I will recommend these at the upcoming meeting that is scheduled for next week.
